How do I make results from other competitions come up on my game?

How do I make results from competitions like the World Cup, European Championships etc come up on my screen? By that I mean this screen come up on the matchdays..

On previous FM versions, might have even been as early as CM, the big competitions would come up automatically but now they don't come up unless your managing a team in the competition.

By this I don't mean subscribing, as this only makes things appear on your news/emails.

I think screen flow from within the preferences might do the trick.
