I heard it last night and then almost instantly it was being called fake but now a lot of media outlets are reporting it. Not that fact checking is high up on the list of football journals priorities.

Seems Di Maria will go to PSG ahead of us. But Vidal to United is looking increasingly likely. Fingers crossed.

So he did a webchat and this is what he said:
I believe Van Gaal is planning on playing 4-3-3 primarily next season although it wouldn't surprise me if you saw 5-3-2 enlisted on occasion.
United want to keep Evra but his wife, Sandra, is desperate to leave Manchester - she has been for a good while - and the club don't want to stand in his way in that regard given what a good servant he has been. It's a real blow if you ask me - he's a big character with a lot of experience and would have helped Luke Shaw settle in.
Part of the reason his decline was accelerated in recent years was because he was being asked to play a ridiculous number of games for a guy in his thirties who is all about bombing forward. In terms of signings, I believe they want to sign another left back, a centre-half and at least one more midfielder plus maybe a winger-forward type.
I'm told Di Maria is on the radar but that there's been no contact with the player or Real Madrid, which would suggest there's one or two others that the club are pursuing first. From what I was told last night, I think the Vidal rumours have taken on a life of their own.
I don't believe United are actively pursuing him at this stage and although I'm not saying things won't change, it looks like Juventus are really trying to create a market for him, in much the same way as Benfica did with Nicolas Gaitan a couple of years back.
The full transcript. Definitely interesting how uncertain the language is compared to last summer, club definitely isn't leaking anymore.

Guarantee you Vidal doesn't move for anything below £40m. There is absolutely no reasoning for Juventus to sell him other than for a huge transfer fee, which £35m is not for a player of his importance and quality. Only reason Juve may accept less and around the £30m-£35m region would be if Nani or someone was included in the deal.
And there are reports from Italy that Evra has already signed for Juventus for a fee of about £2m on a 2 year deal. This was a few days ago, so that interview seems a little old/off. Apparently the only thing holding up the deal being official is Evra wanting to pen a goodbye letter first.

Yeah, I agree, I'm just saying what I've read. The £35m fee seems to be coming from Italian press more than English most of whom (I say most, I mean all the shit ones you wouldn't trust if they told you the sky was blue and the grass was green) are reporting the deals off because we won't pay more than £32m. Honestly I'd be happy whatever we spent.
I suspect a £35m deal and Nani might suit all parties quite nicely.
Anyway, Vidal apparently said in an interview today:
"I'm in a big team already, which relaxes me if the United option fails".

Everything I've seen from Italy has been that Man Utd are offering £35m, while Juventus are wanting a figure closer to £40m, which I think is around €50m or so. He's already at a big club and one that will push for a 4th Serie A title on the trot, while looking to have a bigger impact in the Champions League. I think his contract extension he signed last year gives him a deal until 2017, so there's certainly no rush to make a deal happen if their valuation isn't met. Which will be the only way the deal happens because it's implausible to consider Vidal forcing a move.
Any deal could also hinge on what happens with Pogba also.

What's the deal with Pogba?

In general or regarding transfer stuff?
I'll presume it's the latter, which at this stage doesn't appear that he'll be moving. Chelsea have been heavily linked because of his trip to London but that seems to have been squashed by his agent saying he'll be staying at Juventus. Which has more or less been the case anyway, even when being linked elsewhere during the year. That said, he does only 2 years left on his current deal I believe, meaning an extension has to come soon otherwise Juve will seriously need to consider moving him on if he isn't going to commit long term. If Pogba is sold for a ridiculous price this transfer window, Vidal will not be sold, and visa versa.

If we are genuinely in for him, which seems at least likely given the Italian and Chilean reports, I would doubt the refusal to meet fee stuff is much more than posturing.
Saying that being tight has cost us players in the past, but we've already spent so much on Herrera and Shaw that it would seem ridiculous to start being tight about it now.

Wickham has also turned down a new contract. Apparently if he doesn't sign Sunderland will sell. - As they were pissed off with Colback, Bardsley and Larsson all running down their contracts and being indecisive on their futures.

Well I guess it depends on how many other positions LvG wants to strengthen. Spending £40m on another midfielder when it could probably be better invested down back would be a reasonable enough reason to pull out of a deal, since I would imagine some serious wages would need to be included on top of the transfer fee.
Maybe it's partly down to already spending a big on two previous signing that a little more consideration needs to be taken now. Who knows.

Twitter buzz seems to indicate Nile Ranger is a target of Leeds. Fucking hell, how is he still getting chances?

The same reporter said a deal was close just the day before this new article.

That's what I was talking about last night. Them, the mirror, and the other shite papers reported it last night to click bait. I'd be surprised if any United news got broken by them.

I saw him play at a 5 a side tourney in my local Goals. Had the touch of a rapist, no pun intended.

Stupid prick.

All rumours are clickbait balls to an extent. If you get a photo of him having a medical, going to sign a deal or actually wearing the shirt and speaking of his delight at joining, then you know for sure he's signed. But the amount of stuff at this time of year that is absolute bullshit is at toxic levels.
Aye. It would have been even more irritating if he'd scored more than 3 competitive goals at Newcastle, tbf.
Shedender
Does he live in Leeds or willing to live there? If not, he can't sign.

Of course, but when clubs leak they generally leak to the same people, because they trust them. We've stopped leaking like we used to under Moyes, in fact we've stopped leaking completely, but when we did leak it was to Mark Ogden of the Telegraph, James Ducker of the Times, and Daniel Taylor of the Guardian.
Other than that you have people who seem to genuinely know the movements of the club, Andy Mitten is one of ours, even if they don't get everything right. Basically, my point is none of them work for the Mail or the Mirror, at least, for United so whenever they post a transfer story, especially when they have big news going against the grain of other reports it becomes kinda obvious what they're doing. Edit: indykalia does the same thing, but for some reason the people that actually get paid for it get less flak.

Good business from Benfica I reckon, sold Markovic for £20m and replaced him with a player that scored almost double the goals in Portugal last year.
