I have decided to start a new career with a challenge that I haven't seen many people do before. As everybody knows, the EPL is one of the highest rated leagues in the world however the rest of the British leagues lag behind. What I aim to do with this career is improve the rest of Britain, starting with Wales.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/c3az2vuOvlF2S1RrreWMcE35Z1vS9ZdpMTtZ5T6v.png

I have chosen to start as TNS, who are expected to win the league and are currently in the Champions League second qualifying phase. In order for me to improve the country, I must do well in Europe with TNS and hope the rest of the Welsh teams do well too. Wales currently get one Champions League spot and three Europa League spots, however all entering at the lowest possible stage.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/I5eXWu6OBAvHSOtsdtVVnLc4QpaSUjcYzO2ljooU.png

I am planning on winning the league each year with ease however it is Europe that I am really wanting to concentrate on. Who knows, we may find the next Gareth Bale too. I will do an update before the season starts and will then update every ten or so league matches. Hope you all enjoy.

Tactics

I've decided on the two tactics that I will be using for the upcoming season; one home tactic and one away tactic. I will be looking at bringing in players who will fit into my style of play.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/HEv0PLE4tIaCXNEzOnqklBdOkWNNM8O1iMO6mLKV.png

Above will be the tactic I will be using in all home matches. The mentality will be set to overload, exploiting the flanks regularly. I'm hoping this tactic will get me a lot of goals too which should make it entertaining.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/nCSyVfNGBwZKfs46Xh9IjO62NFBq2wEfWWobN09Q.png

The away tactic is based on retaining possession and hitting the opposition on the counter attack. This tactic is much more disciplined than our free flowing home tactic so hopefully I will get the balance right.

Right, this a little update on the squad.

I've made quite a few signings, all on free transfers and loans but instead of going into detail my squad is shown in the spoiler below. I'm quite happy with my squad and I have depth in all positions so I don't intend on making any more signings anytime soon. Just a few players to look out for: Greg Draper will be my starting striker, expecting him to bag at least 20 goals in all competitions.

I have high hopes for 17 year old Shaquille Hunter too who arrived at the club after his release from Bristol Rovers.

If there are any players you would like screenshots of then just let me know.

Just thought it was something different than I've seen before. Whether I have any luck, only time will tell but I do expect this challenge to be enjoyable as I can set myself little challenges along the way. I expect to stay at TNS for around 15 seasons, if I don't get sacked anyway. By then I will have hopefully improved the Welsh standing, I will then move on to another Welsh side or move to Ireland or Scotland or somewhere.

Cheers bro and keep reading.

TNS - Season One - 11/33

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/YPXFliqA7bPIfdgN2lI7O9BRFSRU812C1aGu3LW6.png

Right, I'm now a third of the way through the season and to be honest, it's not been as easy as I'd of expected. We are currently top of the league on goal difference however my job is permanently under threat. As TNS are expected to win the league with no worries, any result that isn't a win puts pressure on my job. I was nearly sacked after crashing out of the Champions League and then failing to win for the first three matches of the season.

We are through to the semi finals of the Welsh Premier League Cup so we'll have to see how that works. Unfortunately all of the Welsh teams crashed out of Europe at the first hurdle so the country's reputation is unlikely to change much this season. Really hope I manage to stay in a job as I am enjoying this so fingers crossed.

I'm hoping I can get a contract extension soon and try and negotiate a long term deal so it will cost them too much to sack me. Greg Draper, the player I said would score twenty this season… has not scored for us yet. Typical.

Curtis Haley has done quite well for us up top. Hoping he can be my star man instead of Draper.

TNS - Season One - 22/33

http://i.imgur.com/ak6BiKJ.png

We now have 11 games until the end of the season and we are sitting 4 points clear at the top of the table. The way the Welsh league works now is that the top 6 and bottom 6 split into 2 separate groups, playing each other twice. This will prove whether we're good enough to win this league, I really hope we are.

Even though on paper, it looks like it going quite well, it all nearly was so much different. After our 1-1 draw against Aberystwyth the board requesting a meeting but I managed to get my way out of it. But I have some great news now and something that I was going for from the moment I joined the club. Throughout this season so far, I have been worried about getting the sack however….
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/ip6jchYEAMlF8bcoJ57vUgN5PWWd3KXgx8IHic2b.png

I managed to get myself a 4-year contract on a higher wage so hopefully, even if I don't win the league, I will still have a job. I have made three transfers so far in this window. Gary Roberts arrived on a free transfer from fellow Welsh side Connah's Quay. Roberts is highly rated in real life and has experience in the English football league. Ian Westlake has joined the club, he has experience at big clubs, Ipswich and Leeds to name two so hoping his experience will be good for us. Guillem Bauza joins the club and will be a back up striker for us. He also has good experience for playing at Swansea City for a short while.

TNS - Season One - 33/33

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/t52jAHru6hZoxBCQvAxpDqOK7Q9rVhKGKo1L1m18.png

Season finished and we managed to win the title to give me my first league win as manager of TNS. To be fair, we were just way too strong in the closing stages of the season and it was very pleasing. I now have some big decisions to make regarding whether I want to keep players under contract or look at bringing in some new players.

We have qualified for the Champions League, the same qualifying stage as last season and lets hope the draw is kind to us. All of the other Welsh teams fell at the first hurdle as well in their Europa League qualifiers so I hope that can change for next season. One disappointment is we lost in the Premier League Cup final which is a bit like the English Capital One Cup.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/EF8raDCZljnEMka7NA2t0HKEjqNaqAAy2gZ9gd5W.png

My early objectives for next season is to win the league and both cups. I am happy with the league win this season but we need to push on now and strengthen. I will give a low down on all my players performances this season soon. I will be looking to strengthen all areas as even though we won the league, there wasn't really any players that stood out massively for me.

I'm going to look at the Welsh teams, Wrexham and Newport and see if there are any players who will be willing to leave the English leagues and come to Wales.

TNS - Season Two - Transfers

Despite winning the league last season, I decided to make major changes within the side which will hopefully help us do even better in the upcoming season. My wage budget has been increased to £10k however I am currently over it, spending £12k… this is something I need to address. The players that I have brought into the club are on a much higher salary than my side last season however saying that, they are better players.

So first off I'll give a run down of my outgoing transfers.
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/qj9jI4FQ8trBE1ra0XPPSqet5NjFHoL8KCeobfHz.png
Out of the players who left the club, only four featured on a regular basis for me last season. Simon Spender and Steve Evans played quite a lot for me however weren't prepared to take a wage cut so I decided to let them go. Curtis Haley was my starting striker last season however hadn't scored since last December and wanted a pay rise… no chance. Finally, the last one I'm pretty gutted about. Greg Draper was a player I was extremely excited about last season but he let me down and it didn't really work out for him. Again, he wanted a wage rise which I wasn't prepared to accept. Mike Whilde also let the club, he was my top goalscorer last season.

Now for the incomings. All of the players who I brought in have a considerable amount of experience in the English lower leagues which is pleasing that they've chosen to drop down to the Welsh league.
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/UWVulWPzIBEoJJieiT49pOx1jqUrgB1Xhc03t3gX.png
Matthew Tipton joins the club after his release from Northern Irish side Linfield. He scored 5 goals in 8 appearances for them last season and he's a player I've always liked in real life. Luisma Villa joins after his release from Skrill Premier side Barnet and becomes the club's highest paid player. He can play anywhere across the midfield, as well as in the number 10 role so he fits perfectly into both of my formations. Sam Hatton joins after turning down a new deal at Grimsby. He will be my starting right wing back and is in fact the joint highest paid player with Villa. Rhys Weston will add much needed experience to the back line and featured regularly in League Two last season for AFC Wimbledon.

Matt Godden arrives at the club after a successful loan spell at Forest Green last season. He will be my starting striker this season and hopefully I can have more faith in him than I did with Draper last season. Joe Anyinsah joins with a wealth of experience in the English Football League and can play on the wing or up top, adding versatility. My next signing is a player who I am really excited about. Yan Klukowski joins the club after his release from Forest Green. Anybody who read the Succession Game I took part in last year will understand why I rate this guy so highly. Joe Wright and Craig Sinclair will be back ups if anybody gets injured.

Thanks to everybody for all the comments, always nice to know people are enjoying it as much as I am.

He's been released by Kidderminster on my game but he's asking for too much money. His pace would be great in this league too but doubt I'll be able to get him. Draper and Wilde both scored a few for me last season but decided to let them go as they were both asking for too much money. Spender was mostly back up and Williams only played once for me.

good start so far mate. TNS should easily be carving up the opposition. You should strengthen your squad for European qualification. Maybe some loanees? or is there a rule about that in the Welsh league?

There's no restrictions with loans however as the league is ranked so low the standard of player who wants to join is quite poor.

TNS - Season Two - 11/32
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/rg3b5RTyUQKJDdZrpxkxpLiaJq1jcHPOW6LRmTwe.png

A third of the season has passed and it hasn't been as plain sailing as it looks on paper. Unfortunately, again, we were unable to progress in the Champions League as we crashed out to Polish side Lech Poznan 4-0 on aggregate. Before the season started, I was very excited about our attacking outlook however was worried about our defence, in fact it's been the opposite.

In the league we have only conceded three goals but we have't been as clinical as I'd of liked going forward. Matt Lecointe joined us before the season started on a season long loan from English League Two side Plymouth Argyle. He is our top goalscorer so far and has been quite impressive, at the age of 19, I'd love to bring him in on a permanent deal but I'm not sure they'll want to let him go.

We are through to the final of the Welsh Premier League Cup so hopefully this year we can go one better and win it this time. I'll update you all again after the next eleven league matches.

TNS - Season Two - 22/32
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/5eFdNSdzkV9q0VE9DQzsH6AzegogT2iML4xfkKfJ.png

We're two thirds of the way through the season and now the league has split off into the two sixes. We are currently 5 points clear at the top and hopefully will go on to win the title. However, again I have been disappointed with our performances and results on many occasions which isn't good. We haven't won for four matches in the league and for a club like ours, that shouldn't be happening.

The transfer window has shut now and I did manage to bring in one player. Damien Reeves joins the club on a two year contract after leaving BSN side Altrincham at the end of last season. We have looked poor up top and Reeves did manage to bag on his debut but then this happened…
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/ESyzJm6ZXIQ1z9vVlMJRie09wTZGFyf2ddYO3ais.png

On the topic of outgoings, I did release a few players who weren't in my plans. I also sold Nathan Thompson a promising youngster from our youth side for 100k. He never played a game for me and at a club like this, I just couldn't afford to turn down that kind of money.
