What's to be gained by banning him? If we try to teach him and he wants to learn, then perhaps we can have a valuable requester.
And please stop being so aggressive, you might scare new users away, you know. We really need to attract as many cutters and requesters as possible to keep this pack going...

I agree with the aggressive part, but don't you think that he had already learned after 400 or so posts if it was ever gonna happen? I don't want to be rude, but it doesn't seem that this guy ever learns even though he's been told what to do and what to read for so many times. There are rules that people should follow when posting on this thread and if someone just absolutely can't do that then they shouldn't be posting here at all. I realize that new users do mistakes and they need to be advised, but he's not exactly new anymore... If we let him keep posting this bad requests after so many months of doing so, then I question why we even have the rules in the first place since it doesn't seem like anyone needs to follow them anyway.

He only posted 50-odd posts in a couple of weeks or so, you know, hardly 400 or so posts in many months (not sure we're talking about the same person tbh) and English is clearly not his first language so I thought I'd be lenient and give him the benefit of the doubt.
I think it's now been made clear enough to him what he needs to do to avoid a ban, although I'm not entirely sure the message has sunk in. If it hasn't, then I won't hesitate to wield the banning stick.
Plenty of older and more regular users have made repeated "bad" requests in the past, and there's been more recent instances, and we can't just ban people willy-nilly. That said, I understand the view that I may have been too lenient in this instance - but I hope I won't regret it...

You are right. I must have confused him with some older user with a bad habit of making an occasional bad requests, so that's my bad and I apologize it. And I don't think that anyone is talking about banning people willy-nilly, but having a serious though when someone keeps repeating the same thing over and over. Enough of off-topic and back to cutting >
