Mangala is fucking woeful.

Not really. First was unlucky, second was genuinely bad but wouldn't have happened if Yaya or Clichy had done their jobs properly.

If we can regain our hold on midfield, we should get back on top. Either Navas or Lampard on for Dzeko for me, either way an extra body in midfield.

Dzeko has been awesome though, but you're right our midfield is being overrun

Yeah we've just been defending ever since Rooney got sent off. Took Falcao off and left Van Persie on which essentially gives us no movement at all up top too. Basically all we can do is hold on now

And theres the inevitable...oh wait ruled out. Phew

Looked on to me, but I couldn't care less right now.

He had a few bad moments, especially in the first half, but his first was a cracker and he stepped up when we needed it for the second. I can't really fault him.

His movement is just incredible.

Dzeko always steps up, it's just ridiculous. His passing has improved greatly, he used to not be able to pass 5 yards. He tends to stay too deep though, his movement against Wednesday was top class but he doesn't do that in the Prem

His passing and first touch are still incredibly hit and miss (his first touch was unbelievably shit against Wednesday) but, yeah, he keeps stepping up at important moments.

I'd never really noticed it before, but watching him in person it's uncanny just how often he ends up in the right place at the right time. He reads the game so well.

Dreadful half. Just allowed Spurs back into it by being sloppy and not concentrating. We have next to no urgency in our attack.

Didn't watch the game as was working but wasn't Rooneys tackle effectively just a standards case of cynically chopping down a player before the chance developed? Agriculturally, mind.

He kicked him across the knees. Not sure why he didn't just trip him, would have resulted in a yellow card and stopped the counter attack.

The kick was far too high and aggresive. Clipping somebody's heels and kung-fu kicking them are two different things.

Yeah it's definitely a red card, but seeing that tackle and seeing it be described as violent and malicious and him losing his head doesn't really add up .

Looks more like trying to 'take one for the team' so to speak, and just does it badly than anything particularly violent.

He's raised his leg ridiculously high, hardly an accident. I reckon he went for the professional foul but thought he could leave something on Downing but he made it look far too obvious.

Maybe. Seen a few suggest that we should/could of had a handball decision earlier on in that move and Rooney did that because he was pissed off we didn't get it.

From what it looks like to me though he just tried to clatter Downings legs from under him and gets done by that little body shimmer from Downing that moves him away which means he catches him later on his leg swing and therefore higher up.

Who knows, chance for Mata to prove a point at any rate now.

I think it's the back swing/back lift that's making most people see it as as more than just cynical.

He was pissed about the handball decision just before, you could see it in his face .

Chadli booked for celebrating is ridiculous. Are we gonna actually see the goal line decision or what?
