Coping with Life a League Above.
So we went into the second half of the season looking like we were adapting well to life in the league above. More wins and draws than losses would mean that we would once again be in this league for next season. I bought in a few players in the transfer window to hopefully provide bit more depth for the squad:
Mattias Andersson is a 17 year old striker with huge potential who could play in the Swedish premier division when he's older apparently. I bought him in on a free in hope that he can learn his trade here and pop a few goals in when doing so.
David Anttonen is a 21 year old defensive midfielder who we desperately needed since our current DM got injured and we needed cover for him. He has solid stats for our level and I hope he could provide some stability in front of the back 4.
The league fixtures went like this:
A lot of close games and a lot of varied results. Some good form towards the back end of the season meant that we managed to get some points on the board and climb the table a little bit. The 3-0 against Karslund provided us with momentum to take into the next few games which would be crucial to our effort to survive in the league. 7 points from the last 3 games meant that the league table ended up like this:
We did it. We had survived. A point was good enough in the final game and we finished in 10th position. I'm happy with this and I hope we can kick on next season and mount a title challenge.
Tommo.

Linköping is a city that really needs a football team, The team you are manageing is the best team in a rather large city (for Sweden), and it's not very good. The club was founded 2012 (or 2013) and replaced FK Linköping, you have the old badge, that's why it says 2009 (and FK Linköping instead of FC Linköping City, which by the way is a horrible name for a Swedish club).
Keep it up - and make one of my University cities proud!

Wow Itchycoo, thanks for the information. Hopefully I can build them to become a real force in Swedish football to cater for the cities needs. I will hopefully make them proud for you

A horrible 1st Half
So once again we are through the first half of the season and I'm not overly impressed with how my team has performed. For some reason we got switched to the other side of the league so we are playing different teams to last season which has been a pain as I don't know who I should be beating or not. The first half fixtures are as followed:
A lot more losses than draws and wins. Only 3 wins to be precise which is definitely not enough! Hopefully the second half to the season will be a lot more fruitful points wise. Overall I'm not a happy manager at the moment.
The league table looks like this:
I sit 2nd bottom. Not good. It needs to improve otherwise I'll be off.

So I went through the next 7 games without a win and this left me with no other choice than resign. My team had a ridiculous amount of injuries and the board were getting annoyed with the results, so I decided to end my reign at the helm.
This was a great challenge with FC Linkoping and I hope to find a similar kind of team next.

So it wasn't long before I had another job interview, and it was in Sweden once again.
Falkenberg play in the Division 1 Södra which was the league in which I had just previously managed in with FC Linköping City. The club information can be viewed below:
The league table is as followed:
Lying 5th with 3 games to go and still an outside chance of winning the league. Let's hope for the results to go our way and for us to win 3 out of 3.

Thanks itchycoo, now theres pressure, henrik larsson is one of my favourite players of all time.
It really was horror form Dan I seemed to have got a pretty decent team.

END OF THE SEASNO
So I only have 4 games to go at the end of the season and to have any chance of winning the league I needed maximum points. As you can see below, this didn't even come close to happening.
2 points out of a possible 12 isn't exactly good form. I'm disappointed but now I can focus on bringing some fresh blood in and mounting a serious title challenge next year. I've actually got a transfer budget to play with.
I ended up down in 6th but I will finish higher than that next year.

So last season didn't end in good form but it did give me a chance to see what I had at my disposal and which areas I needed to strengthen. Firstly I bought in a few players to strengthen the midfield area and I was in desperate need of a striker who could score consistently. I managed to get all these deals done early and the highlight of my signings is definitely this guy:
Scorer of 11 goals in 11 games he has scored 2 hat tricks in that time, and has been the star of the team. I hope he continues his form.
Fixtures:
So an unbeaten start was cruelly taken away from me by Rosengard who counter attacked me superbly. That was the only noticeable blemish on a great start to the season. We are scoring lots of goals and encoding few at the back. You can't really get better than that. As you can see Colic has been the one who gets most of my goals but when he doesn't mixture of my attacking midfields consisting of: 'Andersson, Lundberg and Persson' grab a fair few between them. This fantastic start means the table looks a bit like this:
Top by 3 points against the team that I just beat in the last fixture. It's look quite likely that it is only going to be a two horse race for the title and the one that loses out will get promotion anyway. Let's hope the title comes to Falkenberg.

What is it they say in FM? Oh yeah: "Brilliant start to the season lads, now let's kick on and really give the fans something to cheer about!"

I see you have a guy names Viktor Lundberg, I guess he's a regen and not the Viktor Lundberg who used to play for AIK and then moved to Randers (I think it was) in Denmark?
tongey
Thanks Johno. That's the plan.
It makes all the difference Simoncoyne. You get your own style across and can bring in your own players.
Cheers picchioni
Thanks itchycoo. Yeah he is a regen, but he is proving to be one of my best players.

END OF SEASON UPDATE
So you are probably wondering if I held onto top spot and whether I won the title....
WE DID.
However we didn't do it as easily as could have hope. We struggled towards the end and it came down to the last game once again. What a surprise. I needed a win and they duly delivered with a 6-0 thrashing.
I won the league by 3 points, but a title is a title and I will take that everyday.
A few more losses than the first half of the season, but still we got a fair amount of wins and overall I'm ecstatic with the form we showed and the performances the players came up with.
Some records for the team:

This is something I have never experienced before but it was another chance for another trophy in my locker. What a great honour for me.
Despite not being provided with a goalkeeper, we managed to actually turn in a good performance. An extra time win was definitely deserved.
TONGE WINS 2 IN A MONTH!
