Too easy for Man United. Even if Mata was offside.
He's playing better than Gouffran and Ameobi though, who are both playing ahead of him.

Cabella looked more likely to do anything than Gouffran yesterday. Ameobi was better than some consensus has been, but this was not one of his best performances. If Aarons is fit then he should be ahead in the pecking order.

I think Pardew got the tactics wrong - 4-2-3-1 is not a system that works for our team, and while Sissoko's suspension was a bitch, we could still have kept the 4-3-3 we've had of late rather than changing it to accommodate Gouffran. Also, its a bit odd that Dummett has looked more convincing a CB than Williamson.

Yeah could see by the slight dip in the ball movement even before the replay. Game over now as i really cannot see Liverpool causing too many problems, they just don't look like they have much if any kind of game plan out there. Its almost like watching a bunch of strangers play together for the first time at times.

Yep, a very faint touch. 100 miles offside.

"It took me three replays to see that was offside, must be hard for the ref and assistant." Oh Gary, try and at least attempt to hide your loyalties.

Two shots on target, two goals. Bwhaha.

I wouldn't be surprised if we have a man sent off in the second half.

Someone i follow on twitter is blaming Moreno for the goal because he didn't track Mata and intercept the ball before Mata scored I know our defence is bad but come on

I thought we played with a 4-2-3-1 against Chelsea really, not a 4-3-3. But it doesn't matter - it's amazing how bad a team we look without Sissoko but we look very good when he plays (bar West Ham).

Aarons definitely has to be in over Sammy - I don't think he will be though, Pardew loves Sammy too much.

Saw someone blame solely Coutinho for Rooney's, for not tracking him, completely ignoring the fact Valencia walked past Allen and Lallana who just stood there after

will be amazing if we have 11 players at the end of this. But yeah overall we've both been pretty rubbish. Can't keep giving Sterling chances he'll take one eventually.

I only watched the Newcastle-Chelsea game from Cisse's first on, so I'm not sure what the system was before Cisse replaced Cabella. In the meanwhile, is Aarons still injured?

In any case, the return of Saylor and Sissoko should hopefully make us a bit better for Spurs and Sunderland. Hopefully, anyway.
