Atletico CP - October 2045

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/rd9SypqJlNjFuWE4RYc1mrpH1E3RlhLXSmkDsakY.png

So here we are, into October and the second full month of the competition. I'm hoping we can continue our early form and really press on and really compete for the top two spot for this part of the competition and then hopefully we can try and reach the top of the pile and the next tier.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/coepSZlWDZMqPorsEpGmVaZLDLMzQEJA7S6qvRxW.png

I've only got time for a short update here so it won't be so much of a match to match update more of the overall month process. Two more progressions in the Taca de Portugal as we advanced through both the second and third round with wins in extra time of Portimonense and then Santana. We also went on to lost to Juventude Evora in the league, beating Espinho and FC Barreirense whilst we drew nil nil with Tondela.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/Lv0IYcTvoeqzirI9dIKdiqeQk167Jc8XtdV2YV7U.png

With half the games gone in this stage of the competition we are remaining competitive as we sit second in the league, three points behind league leaders Odivelas. Its still close, in fact, very close as it could still go so many ways, a few more good performances and we'll make it across the line in one of the top two spots!

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/rd9SypqJlNjFuWE4RYc1mrpH1E3RlhLXSmkDsakY.png

Two and a half months or so was left in this stage of the competition and to date we are fairing well, sitting in the top two of the group and currently set to progress to the promotion stage of the competition. However we are far from being across the line just yet, a busy November saw us fair rather well and reach new heights once again. A near perfect month...

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/OldtP1rLww31XLUxNeg8lypvNV0AFUQd9rdGi4hA.png

Not perfect but not awful, we've competed well once again this month and proved to ourselves we are in this competition but it won't be easy. Now we need to keep plugging away. Two wins, two clean sheets, one draw and a poor defeat at the end of the month, but its okay from where I'm sitting.

A trip to Odivelas saw us draw one a piece. Flavio gave us a first half lead which we went on to blow in the second half as it ended all square.

A dominant win at home against Cindaes as we ran to a four nil victory in style. Horta struck twice, a goal in either half. Toni also grabbed a first half goal whilst Valente netted three minutes from time to wrap up the scoring.

Another good showing came as we welcomed Ovarense fell to a two nil defeat against us. Valente netting after two minutes before another Valente, this time Armindo netted four minutes after the restart as we wrapped up back to back home clean sheets.

We ended with a disappointing four one defeat against Leiria however it was in the Taca de Portugal fourth round, a few rounds further than I ever expected to get. Valente netting our goal.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/lSucfRqlMkSmQ4IWJju3pE9fE1eGw2mfu9whHFR5.png

Well, we are still in second place and still trailing the league leaders by three points whilst we only have a two point gap over third placed FC Barreirense. Its close and with just six games to go there are still a number of teams in the competition for a top two finish, it'll be tight, we need another couple of strong months.

Atletico CP - December 2045

And the final month of the calender year would prove to be quite a short one for us, we faced just three league games as we closed in towards the end of the group stage and nearing a strong promotion group. If we could produce a good month here we'd be all but in the next stage of our hunt for promotion.

http://i.imgur.com/aBX1Tpp.png?1

As I said, it was a quiet December for us as we faced just three of the five remaining games in this stage of the competition. We faired okay with two wins from three. The final game of the calender year was a little sloppy in the end but we can't complain with two more wins.

We began the month away at Lousada who we beat two one. Both our goals came before the break. Santos netted in the thirty fourth minute before an own goal sent us two nil up. We conceded a mear consolation goal second half.

Then came a three one win over Oriental, again away from home. Horta netted in the twentieth minute to give us the lead yet come the break it was all square at one a piece. Valente and Flavio struck second half goals, sealing a three one win.

Then we lost to Juventude Evora, a five goal thriller as we lost out three two. Both our goals came in the second period of the game as Valente and Santos both netted but couldn't prevent the loss.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/i9KkAS4QMjLPbYkwRKy5pu7vpCmPMhIYo1YwWoOG.png

Three group games left here and we are edging closer and closer to that spot in the promotion stage. Odivelas sit top and four points clear of us whilst we sit second, five points clear of chasing Juventude Evora. It'll remain close, hopefully we've got enough left in the tank!

Atletico CP - January 2046

Another new year spent in Portugal and I'm hoping that this will be my last one I need to spend here as we continue our hunt for the third division promotion and compete Portugal. However there is plenty of work to be done yet. We faced our final three games of the original stage of the competition, a top two finish would see us head to the promotion stage.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/Jg5aK3yaky7pZH91a58aVhhGkpgPOEJOiTAbaKWu.png

Three games played in January, three wins recorded and that of course is more than enough to send us through to the Promotion spot but we shall see shortly whether it would be enough for the top spot or to head through in second place, not that it would make any difference, but its always nice to finish top of the group.

A two one away win set us up well for the New Year as we beat Espinho. Araujo gave us the lead after thirty five minutes whilst Valente made it two nil six minutes after the restart, again we conceded late on.

A good strong victory over FC Barreirense saw us secure second place. Flavio netted a double whilst Santos was also on target in this narrow three two victory.

And to end the short January our third win from three and a clean sheet as we welcomed Tondela and saw goals from Santos and Mendonca as we eased through.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/OpjotqLc0A7l6Hl5q1eVzQkhWrVScEd3foBwccTv.png

This stage has now come to an end and we of course qualify for the promotion stage of the competition. We finished in second place and just two points behind Odivelas who ended up having a superb opening stage of the season. We easily finished second in the end by a massive twelve points.

Atletico CP - February + March 2046

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/rd9SypqJlNjFuWE4RYc1mrpH1E3RlhLXSmkDsakY.png

Well here we go, into the promotion stage of the league season, we had fourteen games to try and force our way to promotion. With just two games in February I decided I'd put the the months of February and March together which in total saw us open up half of the promotion stage with seven gmes already played in this stage but how would we cope here...

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/uXX5lcVzBFMnLKyLQriKRACWZmxAgZ7Sh70xf0Ro.png

A superb unbeaten start in the group, we've already played each team once and have gone on to record five wins and two draws, a little sloppy near the end to draw two on the bounce but in the end we bounced back to end March with a win and our only clean sheet of this stage of the competition to date. A massive nine two win in February too.

We started the competition stage with Odivelas coming to us who we beat three two. Flavio netted after seventeen minutes but we trailed two one at the break. Second half Flavio went on to net a second before Santos had one to seal the three two win.

A trip to Joane saw us smash them nine two in this superb showing from us. Paulinho, Horta, Santos and Vale all grabbed braces whilst Thomas came off the bench to add our ninth and his only goal of the game late on, superb nine two showing here.

Going into March it continued to be great as we beat Maia at home four goals to two. Despite originally going behind, Santos and Horta struck before the break to send us two one up. Valente made it three one before we conceded a second and then he grabbed his second to put the game beyond doubt.

Another comfortable victory came as we welcomed Santa Clara and won four one. Miranda netted a spot kick before Paulinho nicked the ball from kick off and made it two nil almost immediately. Horta and Vale both netted in the second half.

A two all draw at Covilha saw us drop our form a bit. We were one down before Santos and Duarte netted just before the break. We conceded a second and that saw us slip to a two al draw.

And another trip this time to Vizela and another draw. Araujo netted two minutes before the break but again we conceded a second half goal.

To end the month, a superb two nil win at home against Chaves. Miranda netted just before the half hour mark to send us ahead whilst Caria netted in the second half.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/t4rzSOorwvieeVlwZavC9wdMpfXd2FSyYdUqOinN.png

Just eight teams in the two groups of the 'Promotion Stage' and we've now played half the competition whilst sitting top of the pile. We sit three points clear of Chaves who we beat two nil to end the month. Seven games remaining to try and seal that top spot and that still won't secure promotion as far as I'm aware. Joane at the bottom are having a howler, losing seven from seven and a minus twenty goal difference.

Atletico CP - April 2046

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/rd9SypqJlNjFuWE4RYc1mrpH1E3RlhLXSmkDsakY.png

Here was the penultimate month of the season, well, at leas the penultimate month of this stage of the competition. We had made a great start to the competition with five wins and two draws from our first seven games in the promotion stage. But with seven games left, we'd go on to face three of them here and could make headway at the top of the pile should we produce a strong month.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/wv85YdzVmRjeLXA5k8nW5504VJyvzkqnCt7AQ0l4.png

Well, a struggling start, following the defeat on the road, but we recovered to win our next two games three goals to two which proved to be enough to keep us t the top of the pile, but is it enough to send us throughout once again?

We lost two nil away at outside promotion chasers Odivelas. Our first defeat in this stage of the competition, we played poorly and fully deserved absolutely nothing from this game.

We welcomed Joane, a side we smashed earlier in the month and recorded a three two win here, but we almost blew a three goal lead which we build up before the break with goals from Santos, Araujo and Valente, we conceded twice in the second half but held on to the three points.

And to end another short month, another three two win. We trailed against Maia early on before Horta levelled ten minutes before the break. Second half Horta sent us two one up securing his second. We conceded again before Mendonca netted three minutes into injury time to snatch a winner late on.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/AW3X6S6GJJ2c54XHc1K1NJQrb5lgiMjAnliVDO5x.png

Ten of the fourteen games played in the promotion stage and qualification still isn't secured and far from it. We sit just two points clear of second place Chaves as things remain close. Odivelas in third sit just four points behind us as it really seems like its going to be a three horse race now.

And so into the final month of the league season we went and sitting top of the promotion stage of the competition I was feeling quietly confident that it would go on to be our season to clinch the title and return back to the second tier of Portuguese football. We had just four games left to try and seal promotion or head to the playoffs to tempt our fate there. Should we go on to finish top, we'd face a clash with the other group winners for the overall champions title.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/ArNd9Fsjj122BDBHHEh98KhrVbuB76VCyh35sZyy.png

Well, this is certainly one way to end the Promotion stage! Four wins from our final four games and conceding just once shows how strong we've been this season. Obviously this will prove to be enough to secure the top spot without even needing to show you, but we'll get on to that a little later.

We welcomed Covilha and ran to a two one victory. Despite trailing, conceding our only goal this month, Valente levelled before the break to put us on level terms. Paulinho went on to win us the game just nine minutes from time.

A superb opening eight minutes in our final home game as we welcomed Vizela and went two up immediately through Paulinho and Santos, unfortunately, there were no more goals.

We travelled away to Santa Clara and recorded another clean sheet in this three nil victory. Miranda netted after just two minutes before Flavio struck just before the half hour mark. Mendonca netted three minutes from time to secure the win.

And to end the season, a trip to Chaves and a third clean sheet on the bounce in this two nil win which saw Santos take the plaudits as he netted a brace.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/swka72GpQCQE2tGC1yAtcx9tUelJG9AypaUt3imG.png

And sot he promotion stage of the competition proved to be a lot easier for us to progress through than the first stage of the competition did. We finished top by ten points, losing just once in this stage of the competition whilst Chaves go to the playoffs finishing second. We are promoted but face a 'Champions match' to see which of the two group winners head us as the all wanted champions status.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/QC8DIRgkFE3HP8xR5pwXGN1HLPD9WZZIqelZJ8sc.png

Easily does it in the end. The clash against Electrico ended up being a stroll in the park as we ran to a five one victory here in the Champions playoff. A sending off after just eleven minutes left Electrico battling against it from the start. Miranda went on to net the resulting spot kick before netting again in the twenty eighth minute. An own goal saw us go three up before Toni made it four nil before the break. Second half they pulled one back but there was no comeback on the cards here as Santos struck our fifth.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/TbrSFWsyxSwjB7dM7sZsCUer0GKN1pwgC1DZSFF3.png

And so its job done here at Atletico CP and job done in Portugal as I'm delighted to tick off another country. It was the twentieth of June I ended up leaving here after three hundred and eighty two days. I saw my side play thirty seven games, winning twenty seven of them whilst we drew five and lost five. Scoring ninety nine in the process and conceding fifty. But we got the all important promotion and league win!

*Portugal and Poland will now filter out leaving me with five countries still playable: Croatia which requires two more trophies, England which requires two more trophies, Spain which requires one trophy, Ukraine which requires three more trophies and Wales which requires all three trophies.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/G2q4EIZvDMxjLwaB8iV2xu967IJ24uMqeTY9NrkJ.png

So as the title and flag suggest, I'm going back to Croatia, I have two trophies still to tick off here, one is going to be easier than the other. The second division, which is where I am heading now as well as the Croatian Super Cup which I still need to win, however it was looking like I could return to England come the end of July...

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/mx1O4kQSrrdw5hzDmPUEycmWJgkFSoMVlchkQBDH.png

Thats correct, for a second time in this career now, Manchester United have laughed me off. There manager jumped to the opportunity of managing Germany after winning the Premier League meaning they'd be in the Community Shield, a trophy I still require, but yes they laughed me off. Then Liverpool had a tycoon takeover which I thought I'd share.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/QYs4DxJwVB36PsKRbOKhMEU567uL8llxgDi3mRMC.png

The team I am now in charge of though. NK Zadar, The board expectations once again are crystal clear, they expect us to win the 2.NHL and with that £5.75million transfer budget, I'd feel a failure if we didn't do it, also the league position the side are in as I take charge is very convincing. After six years in the job, the previous manager left for a previous club of mine, Dinamo.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/8ZNgzGGYQrhg3Vm97syAKKgzYgDjXYWpeSgSSSaj.png

Once again we've hit the jackpot with the job. Zadar are top of the league and have a comfortable four point cushion over second place side Rudes and six points over third place Sibenik who sit outside the two promotion spots. Twenty five league games for me to play, I fully expect us to go on and win this league!

Back here in Croatia it was time to try and secure a strong start to life in the league which can help us break away at the top of the pile. I took charge with a four point gap at the top, could we hold onto that and extend it...

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/H8OJ3NcCGmr0NDYYPO8bpsZbHfg9SMumPvTcNBl7.png

Well, a slow start in the competition but we ended the month strongly with a good league win and then knocking out a top tier side in the Hrvatski Kup which has sent us into the Quarter Final.

We drew at home for my first game in charge, coming back from two down to draw with Junak. We trailed two nil at the break before Mesic netted a second half brace for us to grab a point.

Then same scoreline came as we travelled to Sibenik. Again we trailed at the break, this time one nil. Lewis levelling six minutes into the second half before the host went ahead again. But a second for Lewis secured a point.

A trip to Mosor saw me finally pick up my first win in charge of Zadar as we won three one. Andjelkovic sent us ahead after sixteen minutes with Mesic making it two nil in twenty five minutes. We conceded in the second half before Mesic netted a second.

We welcomed top tier side Varazdin in the final game of the month as we faced Hrvatski Kup Second Round action. We almost threw away an early three goal lead. Andjelkovic netted first with Kovacic and Lewis making it three nil in twenty seven minutes. We conceded twice in the final twenty minutes but held on.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/B3iZWd8TMlLaZJVlT1dS64jEzQn8WecrthE5o4vC.png

I've already blown the four point lead we had as I took charge and we now sit ahead on just goal difference as Rudes sit dead level on points and on our tail. Sibenik slip six points behind, we need to improve if we want to pull away again.

*I lost the November update, so heres December! In November we won three from three in the league. The final month of 2046 was here and upon us and as the snow came in we battled through our final three games of the calender year, taking us beyond the halfway stage in the competition and firing us into the two month winter break. I was hoping the winter break would allow us to strengthen and remain on target for the league title, we had to get to the winter break first though...

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/OrxliQj2ExkCqNDxSvHWYbwBOj8bmYln0YzLMpid.png

What a horror show December turned out to be, not pleasing at all, one win from three and losing to our nearest competitors has really cost us in our hunt for the league title. It doesn't leave us in good shape at all. Hopefully this is just a small blip in form and won't continue into the remainder of the season, but it is a slight concern for now!

First off a defeat away at Slaven Belupo set as back in the month, two nil down at the break and despite Lewis netting one for us ten minutes after the restart, we failed to grab a second.

The only bit of joy this month came as we travelled to Sesvete and won three one. Butorovic netting after seventeen minutes with Aguilera making it two before the break. Francisco netted our third after the host pulled one back.

Then we lost to title chasing Rudes who beat us two nil.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/zuqXfT2Slq7kbuvlquqHI2EpHgaqDqOmneJUgu6c.png

We now head into the two month winter break in second due to our lapse in concentration and slipping a point behind Rudes who jumped to the top when beating us to finish off December. We still have sixteen league games left this season and when we come back from the winter break I expect us to improve.

Back from the winter break, a big Happy New Year from Croatia, it more than likely won't be my last here however I was looking to wrap up another title this season however with our blip in December we head out of the winter break sitting second place in the league, looking to try and put that behind us and have a better second half of the season.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/PRWprGF4yNeE4L5LNxYwNShYkQfO02UBl4Nd5Za1.png

A perfect return back to form from the winter break saw us go on to win four from four in all competitions. We recorded three wins in the league, conceding just one goal whilst we beat Premier team Lokomotiva Zagreb at home in the First Leg of the Quarter Final as we continue to defy the odds.

We returned from winter action with us welcoming Sibenik who we beat one nil Narrow but enough as Lewis netted six minutes before the break.

We then welcomed the Premier side Lokomotiva Zagreb who we beat two nil in this shock win. Aguilera netted twice, a goal in either half, securing the win and a great first leg victory.

A trip to Junak saw us concede for the first time since the winter break, but still hold a three one victory. Olsson netted twice after his winter move from Burnley on loan whilst Francisco netted four minutes from time to wrap up the win.

And back home we welcomed Mosor to end the month and win three nil. Butorovic netting twice, one in either half whilst Lewis also netted one, a first half goal in between Butorovic' strikes.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/bUp2lDEpxqghw8flTsiPAexBBbfEabWgvGh2tZ9h.png

Back on top and three points clear of Rudes in second place with thirteen league games remaining. Its certainly close so far but hoping we can now move forward and open that gap up, securing the league title earlier rather than late on.

A strong return to competitive action in march has really put us back in the driving seat, but not by too much as we head into March top of the pile but with just a three point gap of the chasing pack. We need to continue to impress if we were to run away with the league...

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/DU0Oforb0bit159alJ4kCRUkAqXo01lDCKJILQXU.png

Five games through March and we performed pretty well. We got a draw which proved to be enough in the Hrvatski Kup Quarter Final and this saw us reach the Semi Final. Fellow second tier side Cibalia, who beat us, are also in the hat at the semi final.

We welcomed Dugopolje to kick off the month on winning ways. Lewis netted after three minutes with Grgic putting us two up after sixteen minutes. We conceded one before the break before Kovacic made it three one with twenty four minutes remaining.

A draw away at top tier side Lokomotiva Zagreb in the Hrvatski Kup Quarter Final was enough to send us through. Manuel netted after three minutes but we conceded a second half goal.

The trip to fellow Semi Finalist Cibalia saw us lose out four two. A poor showing really. Lewis netted twice for us, the second in injury time of the second half but we played poorly and didn't deserve a point.

Back to winning ways as we travelled to Hr. Dragovoljac saw us come back from behind to net a brace in the second half. We trailed one nil at the break before Lewis struck twice in five minutes to secure a two one win.

We ended the month at home, welcoming Slaven Belupo where we battled to a two nil win. Manuel netting in the thirteenth minute and a second in the thirty fourth minute from the spot to secure the win.

Twenty seven games played and just nine left to play, but Rudes are keeping up the pressure on us as we remain three points ahead of them. Sibenik look out the title race unless the pair of us at the top have a bad run as they sit nine points behind Rudes and twelve points behind us at the top. Its close at the bottom too...
