This, hopefully, will be a long term career of mine! I will post updates on my progress, trying to win every single competition there is in the world of FM (with no DB loaded). It is a tough mission, one I can't see myself finishing but hey, who doesn't like a healthy challenge? I will start off with Asia as I would like to go continents (I will merge Africa and North America) to make it easier to keep track of what is going on! I have loaded all of the Asian countries to start with.
Eric Runevard, a young Englishmen with Swedish blood flowing in his blood, is a made up manager. Will he be able to conquer the world? Well, we shall see about that. Nothing to his name, apart from scoring a goal against his mates at the park.
Persikad - 23.08.14 - 01.08.15 (354 days - Resigned)
DPMM - 11.19.15 - 18.11.16 (434 days - Resigned)

It hasn't been too long, after I sent my "resumes", before I received emails in a weird language, asking me to be available for phone interviews. So, here I am, at the age of 34, in the middle of a trip in Asia, doing phone interviews to try and get a bit of extra cash on my way. One of the calls was to this man called Dudung Mulyana. Not a very familiar name from where I come from. He introduced himself as the owner of Persikad, a team in the third division of Indonesia. It wasn't a long interview but the guy sounded very happy with me, and before he hung up he had already sent me the contract for me to look at.
Not much to look at. £240 p/w, should be enough around these parts for me, especially with DM offering me a room to live in, without me having to spend a penny on rent. So, as this sounded the best out of all the interviews (probably due to the fact this was the one I actually understood something from) I decided to sign the contract straight away, and getting my ass to the clubs facilities.
So, as you see, nothing really to be proud of. This club achieved NOTHING! Well, I could do some nice things here hopefully, and to get the first ever trophy for a club would be the best thing I think I can do. And for me, the journey starts here!

I did have some time to settle in, but I wan't sure what I really needed for the team to work like I want them to work. Anyways, I did bring some players to help us fight our way into the Second Stage of the league, which means we need to come at least 2nd after 22 games!
Obviously I never really heard of these players but they looked alright when I had a look at them. Hopefully they will make good impact, even though 4 of them are on loan with us, I hope they will play their hearts out!
As well as players coming in, there were players going out.
A nice £5.5k profit for us this window, and Mursidi is gone which is a bit of a blow but for £15k I couldn't say no.
A good start to the season saw us win 3 of our 4 opening games! Which I am very happy with! We did great to make a comeback against Persitara.
And to wrap things off, we are now in 2nd place after 4 games gone! So, I think that if we keep this up we will make it to the second phase!
The future is bright for us.

Little update: My computer is doing problems and closed FM just a few days before the monthly AutoSave. That means it took me back 6 league games and 1 cup game! So, I will try and get to the point I needed, and post an update as soon as possible!
See you soon!

So, here we are. Indonesia in February. It would be a huge understatement to say that I am not enjoying my time here. Sure, things haven't been too great, but we are doing fairly well on both fronts.
We managed to go on a 9 game unbeaten run, which was amazing! Also, we progressed into the second round of the cup where we will go against Persibat. The win came after 3 away goals in extra time(!!!). Hell, that was the best feeling I had in a while! Hopefully things can get better, despite the way we ended January, with a draw and a loss.
15 games gone, 7 left to play before we reach the second stage of the league (if we manage to stay at least second, that is). I am very happy with what we have achieved so far! Hopefully we can manage another good run while Persibat, who are also our rivals in the second round of the cup, lose some of their games!
Well, that is it from me for now. Short and to the point! See you soon.

Two months after the last time I wrote and a lot has happened! Better get started with everything!
Loan galore! So many players coming in on loan, which is very risky. I did already terminate a couple of them but it surely gives us a good depth to the squad, as well as good competition in some areas! All came from the first league and are young, which is a good change as most of our players are in their mid 30s!
Another player sold, and £1k to add to our bank account. £1k that we didn't have before so it is good use!
These two months have seen us scrape past Persibat in the cup, thrashing PSJS in the cup as well as beating Kalteng in the first leg. The rest was fairly bad (the points we dropped are in places we really shouldn't have!).
We are in a bit of trouble in the league. 2 games left and we are two points behind second. Hopefully they stumble somewhere, as I really do want to get there!

FUCK!
EDIT: It took me back to the second PSJS game so that means 6 games. Hope to do it fast!

April is now almost over and we have gone through quite a lot in the competitions!
Despite being sent back in time, we did manage to finish on a high with a 4 game unbeaten run! That also means that we are now in the QF of the cup, something pretty amazing for a team of our stature!
Close is not even enough to describe how close we were to not make it to the second stage! Only a final day slip up from Persigo meant we can go past them in a very tense game (we were holding on to that 2-1 lead for too long).
Another short update but what it brings us to is the second stage. Now, how does it work you ask?
2 groups of 4 are drawn. Top 4 in each group are promoted (that will be enough to tick this competition off). Top team of each group goes to the Final, and, the winner of that game will be crowned champion! Hopefully we have more than three games ahead of us!
Our group:
Hope we are good enough for this!

The end of the second stage has come and things went alright for a team such as us!
Very close to doing the impossible! But, we just weren't strong enough to do it! Good second half, after a terrifying first half.
Slightly disappointed for them to score so late. That goal put us in a dangerous position as only a 2-2 draw or a win would satisfy us in the second leg
To be honest I didn't think we could win, but Ariandi proved to be our best player for another time!
Thought we were going to penalties, but we conceded a heart breaking goal. Can't say I am too sad, making it to the QF is more than I could have imagined at the beginning of the season!
Before the final game of the group, all four teams had 3 points and 0 GD. That meant that whoever won, went through and the team that lost by the least amount of goals would be the lucky survivor. This is what happened:
Amazing win for us, that almost saw us cruise to the final of league. But, with promotion coming with that win, the fans, players and myself were amazed by how good we did this season!
I have been offered a new contract at the club but with this league ticked off I will be looking for a new challenge. I just can't see this club growing too much and I want to go into the managemet market fresh with a good record.
New challenges await us!

The time has come and I am now looking for a new job! Will keep an eye out to see how they are doing!
An alright record, but still good enough to get us promoted!
Didn't have anyone else in mind! He was amazing, and mostly consistent!
Next update will be when I get close to a new job!

A month after leaving Persikad I started speaking to a club based in Brunei. Now, you may ask "What does he want? There is no Brunei in FM". True. I also thought that when I saw that most players we Bruneian (?). So, long story short:
A slightly better contract than the one at Persikad, and expectations are realistic!
Coming to a club that won something is scary. Maybe there will be more expectation! Or, maybe that will be because the Prince of Brunei is our owner? Or maybe because they have played in other leagues apart from the Singaporean before (Malaysia). I am really scared to be here!
This was the table when I was offered the job. But by the time I took it, they already lost twice, and dropped to seventh! Good luck me!

I won't lie, I got carried away in the fun of managing here in Brunei. I just played game after game, forgetting to show you anything! So here is a fast roundup of what has happened:
Good run of games, 50% wins, which is fair for what I came in to. We got some very good teams and I was very happy with how the team played! I am already looking forward to challenging the top teams next season!
So, we finished fifth. Which is fair when you realise at what state the club was when I joined. So, I am happy and the future seems bright. As you might see, the league splits up after 22 games and then you play your group once more. Hopefully next season we make it to the group with an option to clinch the title!
The three best players in our squad have made it into the team of the year! That is great, and I believe they deserve it! I am looking to bring some good Australians that have left their clubs, but that means I will need to do a lot of rotating as only 4 foreigners can play!
Hopefully I can get some more updates soon, despite going away for the weekend as well as going on a school trip for most of next week!
