This file is intended for FM13.3, and will need to be re-applied if/when patches/updates are released to ensure full compatibility. This is due to the fact that some files which are removed when installing this file are re-installed when patches come out.
Magrippinho very helpfully created a YouTube video on how this file should be installed. Some of the contents are different - but the procedure is identical.
Or, you can follow the below instructions to install this file:
Step 1: Go to
PC
Step 2: Delete the dbc, edt and lnc folders from the folder above
Step 3: Copy the dbc, edt and lnc folder from this download into the folder mentioned in step 1.
Step 4: Go to:
Step 6: Keeping the folder in step 5 open, go back to the file you downloaded and open the folder named "editor data files".
Step 7: Copy the 30 files in the folder from step 6 into the folder mentioned in step 5.
To check if the file is working, go to the Champions Cup and EURO Vase, and they should be renamed to Champions League and Europa League respectively. If you are in the middle of a save-game, German national teams will be populated in the next instance that players are called up, and not instantly.

Do you have a list somewhere of the changes you made? I think I've found all the Portuguese language changes, and they'll be included for sure, but I've no way of knowing if there's any other changes...

The files in the lnc folder are named by genre of contents so you can delete them (in your case the award file) and the respective items will be restored to the default names when you next reload your save game.

If you are using a Mac operating system compatible with FM2013, you'll no doubt have the spotlight function which you can just type in the keywords 'Steam' and your troubles would be gone (top-right corner of your screen for Snow Leopard and in the top-right of your 'Finder' panel.
There isn't a 'Steam' in your 'Library' because it is: Library>Application Support>Steam

My point being that there was no steam folder at all in the library, as in its not under application support either.

I rather think I have a similar problem. I have no 'steam section in 'application support'
Are we both being rather silly?
I have had a search for the individual files and not having much luck with that either.
Perhaps someone could humour us...

Open Finder, click on Go at the top and hold alt, this will show the library. Click on that and it should have Application Support, then it will have Steam inside of that, then Steam Apps > common > fm2013 > data > db > 1300

Edit: The issue seems to be caused by deleting the dbc, edt and Inc folders now.

Edit: Erm, I started a new game just now and:
I'm using the files contained in the base download and all seems fine. In my admittedly not so vast experience, issues such as those mentioned above generally tend to be related to editor data files, so you might want to check if you've got any rogue files in there. Alternately, wait until I release a new version of this file later this evening.

Don't get this wrong because I'm just trying to help solve this mystery, but did you do a completely clean install yourself? Ie. deleted the edt, inc and dbc folders and copied your files there. Because I did twice and got the same result both times and I've installed this thing plenty of times with no problems. Also I tried starting a new career disabling all the extra editor files and still got the same result.
What worked was deleting the modified db folders and letting Steam reinstall the original files and that Ireland/Portugal issue went away. Also doing that I could enable all your db files just fine with no problems. So I'd say there is pretty high chance those folders got changed somehow with the new patch and thats whats causing problems.

3 of the editor data files were also updated, as well as some of the modifications proposed in this thread to the award and competition names.
I am 99.999% positive that this file is not related to the Ireland league not loading issue, as it does not modify the Irish league in any way. Should I be proved wrong, I'd be more than happy to correct the issue found to be at fault.

the names changes to real(such germany league to bundesliga),the germany nation players fixes in the next international call....the only thing is not working in this save game is the fix for some inernational kits(i dont bother at all.....)
How is it happens?
In the preveius fixes you must start a new game to work all these...

i have that same issue, and the damn SI don't even answer in the oficial forums, i've uploaded crash dump several days ago, and got no costumer support from them, i really HAVEN'T played the game so far, i only play online game with my brother, and he just can't join after a save.
we both have the same addons, but i'll try to start a new one without any addon and see,

you don't need to start a new game, just the DBC files need a new game to take effect.

Once thing I would like to confirm, is the kits colour changes the same as the one from the SS kits?
The reason I ask is the one from the SS kits has underscores in the file name.
