2-2 Isco. Great finish.

Valencia have had many chances to make it 3.

Mourinho is spot on in this article.

You can't stop Messi really, just make it more difficult for him and hope for the best.

This might be against the grain but I don't really see the fuss over Messi's goal. Sure, decent run but hardly anything as spectacular as it has been hyped up to be. I was expecting to see something ridiculous, this was tame and featured terrible defending on all accounts. Eh.

I don't think it's shocking goalkeeping - he has to be aware of his far post as Messi is a master at that curling finish, but that bullet into his near post is near unstoppable imo

I thought it was brilliant. 45 yards away from goal, runs all the way when for most of the run he had three players on him. Easily beat them all. Class.

Yeah, I heard about the goal and straight away went to find it because of the way people were drooling over it. Don't really understand all the noise people are making about it, nice little flick to beat those players at the start but not much afterwards. Nobody would say a thing if any other player on the pitch had scored it.

You should never get beaten at your near post. If Messi bends it over the keeper and into the opposite top corner then fair enough, you hold your hands up and say well done.

Still Messi is pretty much the only player at that level who does these things over and over again. Let's just sit back and enjoy him while we can.

Nobody else in the world could even score a goal like that! Picking up the ball where he did, dribbling past a few players and rifling it home - superb goal.

See, I see it as nothing more than using his pace to beat some average defending first up, squeezing the ball through the legs of the only other defender who was close to make a challenge, before again using his pace to get back onto the ball and cutting inside. The whole run was basically 90% down to his speed, not skill.

He's produced a lot better.

You guys obviously don't play football enough if you think that goal didn't require almost unhumanlike levels of skill.

It was absolutely sublime.

A lot of players have Messi's pace, yet how many of them score goals like that one?

His skill is otherworldly.

Eh. I remain largely unimpressed and still think it's an average goal, no matter how many times I've rewatched it. He's scored better.

Yeah, anything other than a striker for the past season. They only have good forwards in Spain.

Not sure if its all games or just El Classico, seriously considering fucking SS off now as its so overpriced at £25 a month ffs. I changed from TalkTalk to BT in February to get BT Sport for free, now they've got the new European channel its a fiver a month which is still very good value as that now includes Premiership, FA Cup, Champions League, Europa League, Bundesliga, Serie A, Ligue 1 and Portugal's Primeira Liga. Plus Lineker has signed up too \o/

Not a chance of that happening!

If anything the days of MOTD and The Football League Show (in whatever form) on terrestrial TV are numbered.
