Pointed out by nufc.com that the last time we were at Bramall Lane (November 2009!), Morgan's own goal was the only goal of the game. Is he still playing?
NUFC's list...
July 10th - Gateshead (a)
July 14th - Club Atlas (neutral venue of Milwaukee)
July 18th - Sacramento Republic (a)
July 21st - Portland Timbers 2 (a)
July 26th - Sheffield United (a)
July 29th - York City (a)
August 1st - Borussia Monchengladbach (h)
Might try for Sheffield. As for the US games, its a bit much that NUFC's players complained the last US tour in 2011 (which went Kansas->Orlando->Ohio) required too much travel, and the team has duly booked a tour that is over 1,000 miles longer.
Also worth noting that Sunderland are in the US at the same time as NUFC, and are playing Doncaster on the same day as the York game. Which could make for some interesting meet-ups.
Jason
Your game vs us is Chris Morgans testimonial, he retired in 2011 iirc. He should play in it.
He's donating any money generated to three charities, two of them are Sheffield charities but he's also giving money to gary Speeds charity.

Yes. Indeed it is. I saw it mentioned that there maybe a link through former NUFC man John Carver, who was on the SUFC coaching staff when Chris Morgan moved from playing to management.
But that sounds like it should raise money for some good causes. Hopefully its a good match.

I'd go as far as saying it'll probably sell quite a lot of the 32,000 tickets available, maybe 25-27,000. Morgans very popular up here.
Looks exactly the same as the season before last just a new sponsor. Cringeworthy advertising campaign to boot.

We've just kicked off away at mighty Lancaster. Probably our best chance of a win all season!

Ended up travelling to Portadown this afternoon with a 2pm kick-off, couldn't make it due to work commitments unfortunately but we got beat 3-0. We did win our first two friendlies beating Bangor Swifts (6-0) and Bangor Amateurs (5-2) while we've three more games within the week - travel to Comber on Tuesday before welcoming both Albert Foundry and Ballymena to the Fuels.

Match abandoned due to pitch invasion protesting against the owners. Oyston Out!
EDIT: Photo of the pitch invasion, about 7 people really and the game could have resumed.
