The Dream Russian Job - 13th August 2102

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/ZcjoqmbRdSJI0ZLxRefsTqWBlXMqv8rjc1tKhEKa.png

Its been a while since I've been in Russia, not overly 'ages' but still almost ten years as I return to the country for the first time since 2095. This time I've got the job I've been waiting for, with the three big trophies left here in Russia it was important I waited for the right job, now I expect it to take one to two seasons to complete the country.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/TsUOp0UAtkN5cZ7BHtcFswsdEnT6VZcMD0CYnivd.png

Thats correct folks, I've finally landed the Zenit job. As you can see here they've just gone a third successive season without the title and this saw the club fail to renew their managers contract on the 30th June 2102 seeing the manager of twenty six years depart the club and me take the reigns. The club now expect the title back!

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/oeax61Y7TozCxEiFqaHpGJbyjKEmZF57YQ7QmaBR.png

The finances have surprised me, they aren't in the greatest ways and that is a big issue here. With just three point three million to spend there isn't much room to improve the squad financially and the wages are in turmoil!

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/nmCEA8TAXGRuMvS3cgUjuohQE0MOq9PAKnXZLNbF.png

Heres the squad I've taken on, the ratings don't make this team look very good, I'll need to look through the youth and reserve teams before trying to find some free transfers to strengthen the squad however the wages are the big issue at the moment.

Zenit - Mid Season Update 2102/2103

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/jE2PGIe5gMbeLJAL6vemRJBDSAdgFA1GZI6zUsq8.png

Well halfway through the Russian season its time to bring you an update of whats gone on to date. This season could see me scoop two of the three trophies I require here in Russia and set me up nicely for the third one whilst the board expect both. The aim is also to return Zenit to the Champions League.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/Fcx2uAi4eHeOo336pqSe4RdvMW8EgPXBWwYQLeyy.png

The Kubok Rossii started for us in the fifth round and started confidently with a nice three nil win over Dinamo SPb where we won three nil. Two penalties helped us on our way there. A two nil win in the sixth round against Tom, same scorers seems to have set us up a tie with Terek in the Quarter Finals.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/6lQzrjxxePJ8afWBei4fHWjLYp92bj6Jd3gUD0B8.png

We've played very well over the first half of the season and up to the winter break which is where we are now. Only seven games where we didn't claim all three points as we picked up four draws and just three defeats so far this season, how does this reflect on our league position...

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/EBib77OWZ1J0b5BK4fSH6SH3sRoruEXyZl6ccOtO.png

Well we trail Anji as we have reached just past the half way stage of the season with seventeen of our thirty league games played and we sit second, four points off that top spot which we need this season. Hopefully a stronger second half of the season for us and weaker one for Anji will help our fate.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/jE2PGIe5gMbeLJAL6vemRJBDSAdgFA1GZI6zUsq8.png

The seasons come and gone and it went by very quickly indeed! I've enjoyed the stint here, mainly because its gone very well indeed, you could see by the first half of the season how well we were performing, now we needed to slightly improve for the second half of it if we were to be crowned champions.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/GaD5kepVnXVzcgbhuBlXEPmmLATuFYjqyYLCmSYX.png

Champions on the Kubok Rossii after an easy run through up until the Final. We faced Terek in the Quarter Finals where we won two nil away from home. Then welcomed Dinamo Moscow who we comfortably beat four nil embarrasing them to send us into the Final. We met Rubin there. Trailing first half before Tuveri levelled for us. It went into Extra Time where Skacel netted two in seven minutes to secure the trophy.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/TbGAR0QZOkfT1irNGHK36skLV85rhe10aqXaaSvd.png

A superb run through the second half of the season saw us really rejuvinated on the pitch for our final thirteen games, picking up eleven wins and two draws, avoiding defeats well. We also managed to keep our back line tight as we kept nine clean sheets, including a good run of five without conceding a goal.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/wdj0RPDMOqrX6m9LCMPbA1hNFCI2tyAzlpfEJJ7H.png

Double Champions! We won the league comfortably enough come the end thanks to our superb second half of the season form. Unbeaten in those final thirteen league games helped us catch up Anji and then slowly move away from them as we won the league over them by ten points to secure Champions League football once again next season.

Zenit - Superkubok Final 2103

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/jE2PGIe5gMbeLJAL6vemRJBDSAdgFA1GZI6zUsq8.png

Well here it is, my first chance of ticking off a country in what seems like a long whilst. Russia could be ticked off if all goes well this game against Anji in the Superkubok Final to seal my third trophy in charge of Zenit and all four at Russia.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/caQ1desgN3iX0bm6c7lM5nFqfEXTcnd9WUkHtXkk.png

Russia is completed! The Superkubok Final really wasn't a thrilling one and it didn't live up to much. Fans had to wait sixty nine minutes before the first goal went in and that went Anji' way! However ten minutes later we pulled back level and forced the game to extra time and then a penalty shootout. We went on to triumph in the shootout, winning three two.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/IkWkwCQjJacrj1GsG7szQqYSFsu5yAXctGI2iI75.png

Goodbye Zenit and with that, goodbye Russia! Its nice to be leaving although this stint at Zenit was easy it was highly enjoyable thats for sure, I wish I could stay longer but I'm on a mission here, an impossible one albeit! Thirty six games in three hundred and eighty days in charge. Twenty seven wins, six draws and just three defeats. Conceding only sixteen to the sixty nine we scored. Both cup competitions and the top flight league title...secured!

Another French Appointment - May 2104

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/k1PFqGRFXiCoxoILvcsLyBOKMPe8sAUqLCACmoTX.png

So I took it on myself to sit out the 2103/2104 footballing season in order to get a hard job in France, the Amateur division is one of two league titles I still require here as well as the cup competitions which I'll focus on when I make it back into Ligue 1 eventually, most likely when the PSG job comes up. However if I've done this right, all should be well.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/asEu4G8WLn7JkxZFZlx26CoSA4p2q7fUJ2pYiSaN.png

Martigues is the club who have taken me on and as you can see, we currently sit in the relegation zone and just a point away from safety. However safety this time isn't the aim....relegation is! I need to be relegated to play in the CFA and so this appointment makes sense with just one league game to go all I have to do is lose it, scary to think I'm actually going out to lose a game.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/hDVvb2OWVgm655lUfM6jfuDXs1zebrgUne26C8TL.png

I had one job and one job only, to lose the final league game of the season which would ensure we were definitely relegated. We had a tricky tie too, heading to a fourth placed side with hope they'd want to win to finish on the highest possible points tally despite not being able to finish in the playoffs anymore...

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/mCCjHPjs3N94WLlaghH63flY8NkV1YOiOrhCipdq.png

I couldn't even make us lose! The one job I had was to go out and lose, we won one nil against fourth placed side FC Gueugnon as my formation worked once again. We weren't even the better side in the game, hopefully this would be enough to ensure we were still relegated..

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/bC7Q5zdpqTwzV2CAYDz5QnwmJahAHY0czk72bKAV.png

Phew! It wasn't a wasted job I took after all! We have in fact been relegated which for once is absolutely perfect, we only went down on goal difference as we finished level on points with Chatellerault and then just a point off Colmar and Orleans both surviving.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/k1dVu0lkThan9OmhlqtNxGon1fsN1HsJOmjtqSTF.png

Here is the squad I now take into the CFA, more than confident in our ability and the players ability to fire us back into the third tier of French football which would in fact allow me to take out a lot of leagues. Of course I shall seek a few more players to help us strengthen over the season and push for that top spot.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/hDVvb2OWVgm655lUfM6jfuDXs1zebrgUne26C8TL.png

We're midway through the season here in the CFA league and I'm happy to say I do still have my job, the only bad news is we're not quite performing as well as I would have liked. I was hoping we'd come to this league and walk away with it however its not been the case, heres whats happened in the first half of the season.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/NBq8kGYYqqqlRHkeWIh0YciXM74toX4N9AEj6kLC.png

Well theres no exuberant cup run for us this year as we crashed out in the sixth round on penalties. We advanced easily past the Fifth round with a three nil win but drawing the next round one all cost us as we lost in penalties.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/mu20GUnC5wbT4KBRL8h36G4Um8EygHIyo1aSs2aF.png

We started the season very well but both reserve sides in the league have beat us and thats cost us a decent run. We've then failed to win all five of our final league games to end the first half of the season and not sit so pretty. Six clean sheets in fifteen games isn't too much to grumble at thats for sure.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/h8cpFbXYqph5QWkjmJ7M252z7L5lDXRqFXKylRus.png

Well we currently sit in sixth place but only four points off the lead which is easy enough to make up especially if we can have a really good second half of the season. Libourne have played well so far this season as have Anglet who sit in second and level on points with the league leaders. Both Monaco and Marseille reserves sit ahead of us.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/hDVvb2OWVgm655lUfM6jfuDXs1zebrgUne26C8TL.png

Another season in France has come to an end and its definitely treating me much better than it did back when I was in charge of Monaco a couple seasons ago. When I arrived there it looked like France could cause me a big issue, to be fair, the top league and three cup competitions haven't been touched, however this was my chance to tick off the bottom division and then take out a couple leagues here in France.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/6PjN4uUZkJ1rllU7GpCIHM7ZhrWDYCfqk1qwTMtj.png

Well that was the turn around we needed, in January I changed the formation to a 4-5-1 and tried to hold our back line a lot tighter together to ensure we weren't throwing away goals and leads and played on the counter! This went on to work as we lost just one of our final fifteen league games, with two draws and twelve wins! We finished the season with five wins on the bounce including four one nil wins, our form came good when it mattered, but how far could we go...

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/7GvdIorW00N2LEO8wwB4SVsGMcB9WDv4VZLDa5hx.png

It would indeed be our league title and all on the final day of the season as we held our own one nil against Libourne. A second minute goal which we then went on to defend was enough to crown us champions of the CFA!

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/zEclTr7k4ZKDxG92DWiXB1CjjTz9FdHafxdNEMay.png

Here are the final standings this season, remember in this tier a win earns you four points, a draw two points and a point for losing, weird points system but everyones a winner somehow. The title came down to the final day as you know where we were crowned champions as we won it by a single point over second place Anglet. Monaco reserves finished in third, just four points behind us whilst Hyeres in fourth were still only seven points off the drift in a very close game.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/LxX5h7Rp4Gln0D4FRPlM29bRGWo0xCtx1szpL9XM.png

Did we deserve it...probably not, but if you don't hold your own in the league till the final second of the final league game then this happens, we jumped Anglet on the final day to win the title whilst they slipped down to second place.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/XyV4IJ4nzgUYS8AP3Fx6YCeZjh9hb3CwXkagL8gi.png

On the final day of May I went on to hand in my resignation and remove all the leagues from France bar the Ligue 1, a trophy I still require as well as the three cup competitions. Three hundred and eighty six days in charge led to thirty three games, twenty one wins, seven draws and five defeats. Forty six goals scored, twenty four conceded. League win, promotion and relegation all in three hundred and eighty six days.

Another Return To Italy - 2105

Well I'm making another return to Italy and its been a long while since I was last in Italy thats for sure. Its been around thirty seasons since I was last here and I had the unfortunate error of the fixtures not loading for AC Milan. Now I'm heading to the depths of Italy in order to try and tick off the lower leagues and work myself up again.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/67BdjefqJ3ODT8YOILwwVhtNzJwHly61YwmFFVoB.png

Ascoli have fallen over the last few years and are now relegated to the bottom playable tier, the board expect us to bounce straight back to Seri B whilst I expect the same and have told the players this, so I want an instant impact. As you can see, my first return to Italy since 2071 so hopefully a joyful one with currently just one trophy wrapped up here in Italy.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/FIrWfBgUadbrK1GsMLAVD9vcDaL12CsjlBmC0pM1.png

Here is the current squad I am taking on into the new 2105/06 season but I hope to strengthen over the next couple of months to really allow us to press on at the top of Seri b and not make it too much of an issue to win promotion and trophy number two here in Italy.

A First German Stint - 16th November 2105

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/NW4vbvCZx3VBIFKzJPN5kd2XLKJuCZWjfsT6fFvU.png

So a couple months on after my annoying non stint in Italy I've returned to management rather quickly. My first stint in Germany where I've got a few league titles and cups to tick off, all five in fact and hopefully I can get a few done in a row. We're heading to the bottom of the Germany structure to start this journey.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/tJomTjLlhVBIApsd3JtAziTaWCFMU6R12qC95OWY.png

Braunschweig are the club I'm heading for who are currently playing their trade in 3 liga. The bottom tier of Germany gootball and I'm hoping it'll be a quick turn around and a quick trophy. We're almost halfway through the league season and the club are predicted to win the league, the board expects this!

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/eZzJJX9jXwTUhDk9FjdraJwGKRbvtapT1Tf6sRgT.png

The club are two games short from the halfway point of the season and currently sit fourth, harsh for the previous manager to get sacked but its given me a great opportunity to earn another promotion at least, the league title not be possible but we'll try our best thats for sure!

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/XfhJOTtf80VxT23g2BRO6yHOMlU02bhuEkAqqyx9.png

A very big squad on my hands here and it seems like there is plenty of quality in this team to help us earn that promotion spot. Like the looks of Erich Schacht, a good first half of the season sees him on twelve goals in seventeen games. Hopefully the squad play well and push on for the remainder of the season.
