N'Zonzi off to Sevilla for a bargain £7m. One of my favourite Rovers players of recent years, top player.

LITERALLY NIGEL FARAGE!

He was on absolutely outrageous wages in the UAE as well.

Looks like we're shifting RVP as well this summer.

We've cleared well over half a million a week off the wage bill, hopefully thats for a reason and not just cost cutting.

Not my finest I admit, but when your post boils down to "they'd find a way if it wasn't Barca", without actually providing any ways FIFA might do that I'm not going to try too hard.

Well, the reason I said that is because that's how the cookie has crumbled. I recall Portsmouth being given a transfer ban from signing new players years ago because they still owed money for previous transfers. Watford and iirc a French side, may have been Nantes, had similar bans on signing new players. So, to say it couldn't be enforced isn't entirely correct. However, Barca being Barca, the "transfer ban" they received was nothing more than a registration ban, a completely different punishment altogether. Though, you'd never guess this with the way it's been reported until you read into it properly.

His new club is a £100k a week pay rise, right? Mind-boggling sums for a player that struggled to make Sunderland's bench when he first moved here.

No club has ever been given a 'Transfer ban'.

Portmouth had a registration ban. Rangers had a registration ban. Roma had a registration ban. Barcelona have a registration ban.

Football Associations have no power over whether a company can hire someone or not, only if they can register them.

Apparently clubs in England, Netherlands and Italy are interested in our midfielder Ole Selnæs and we have turned down a £2m offer from an unknown club.

They throw ridiculous amounts of money at average players because they just stop paying them if they don't perform up to scratch. The Chinese game, is predictably, dodgy as fuck. Contracts mean sweet fuck all over there. They discard players as they please.

Cabaye to Palace looks like it's actually happening then

The money that mid-table/lower PL clubs can spend nowadays is mind-boggling.

All confirmed.

Also didn't know until then that Palace, like Bournemouth, are sponsored by Mansion. How many Premier League teams is it that are sponsored by casinos and betting firms?

Cabaye is an outrageous signing for Palace.

Shame they have a fool managing them though, they'll still be bottom half.

Wijnaldum looks like it'll be sorted today and Mitrovic tomorrow. Good start to the transfer window - still need 3-4 more of similar quality, though.

Mitrovic has been linked with clubs in the CL, so that'd be a good coup for you. I've never seen him play like haha but he sounds decent.

I saw highlights of one Anderlecht game when I was on holiday in Belgium last year. Which shows how much I know.

He did score the winning goal if that's anything. I'm also aware he had a good game when Anderlecht drew at Arsenal in the UCL last season.

Nicking two players that Roma wanted. If FM is to be believed Mitrovic is actually a Newcastle supporter.

West Ham have signed Angelo Ogbonna. Meanwhile, BBC West Midlands has claimed Aston Villa have accepted a bid for Fabian Delph. Which means we can expect him to be in their reserves.

Also a line earlier that betting has been suspended on Martin O'Neill becoming the new Leicester manager.

Think he could get a decent amount of game time to be honest. Yaya's going to need somebody to do his running for him and Delph can't be worse than Fernando, surely?

Fernando was hardly great at that by the second half of the season.
