I've a feeling its gonna happen a few times over the season for Blackpool. Matches being abandoned for that reason that is.

The fanbase is split over the current methods being used to protest. In one sense, there is the fact that it drags us back into the headlines and hopefully shows the fans' anger at what has been done to our club by our chairman and reiterates some of the stories about what a horrible piece of work he is. However, an away game is more likely to ruin the game for the home support and turn other fans against us rather than have them support our cause. Even most of the NAPM brigade are against doing it at away games but with this being preseason against a non-league side I guess the small minority who went felt justified. I imagine Oyscum is getting his solicitor to write the summons now. Potentially to me to for daring to utter anything on a forum, seeing as he is currently suing one of our fans' online forums too.
As much as I am loath to discourage people from visiting our ground, I would say do not come to Bloomfield Rd this season. The atmosphere is toxic and there are likely to be more protests until the Oystons are gone. I don't see any other resolution now.

Go for it I reckon, things like fines for going on the pitch, what opposition fans think etc come secondary when it comes to trying to save your club and drawing attention to how much of a tool Oyston is. I wish we'd do the same against Venky's, although it would have been better when we were in the PL for more exposure.

I'm on the other side of this argument, as is pretty well known. If the FL/FA had taken quicker action to ensure Town fans were reimbursed (it still hasn't happened, and Blackpool haven't made any kind of offer either) I might be softer in my stance, but as it happens my club's fans have been hurt after being supportive of action against Oyston. I will maintain that when you disrupt the thing that you've come to see in the first place you've lost the argument.
On to our first pre-season game, I had nothing better to do yesterday afternoon so went to Guiseley. As friendlies went, it wasn't bad at all. Guiseley looked a tidy side and I hope they do well in their first season in the National League. They have some good ex-League pedigree in the likes of Liam Dickinson and Andy Gray, and their left-winger impressed me. We were very much in pre-season mode and played at about 60%. We had Martin Cranie on trial, and he's now going to Spain with the rest of the squad, where we'll face Leyton Orient - in this game he looked composed, but it's difficult to work out whether he's good enough for Championship football on the evidence of 45 minutes. We walked out 3-1 winners in the end, with goals from Wells and Butterfield before they scored a penalty. Lolley scored a cracker in the last minute to give the scoreline a bit more gloss.

I think this is a good thing (on one hand) because it's harming Karl Oyston's pockets.

Southend 2-3 West Ham - Payet scored twice (wow, his free kick) other own goal

I've a feeling a lot of matches may be abandoned during the league season, because of that. Or am i totally wrong?

In truth, I'd rather see friendlies played with some real intensity. I remember when we played Newcastle a few years back and there was a real needle to the game. It prepares them for the season better, in my view. Even so, I'm generally still not bothered about results. I'm more worried about injuries, which have been our problem - neither Miller nor Vaughan have played a single minute, so we're desperately lightweight up front. Hogg's only played a few minutes this afternoon. Davidson's buggered off to Australia to reap the rewards of possessing a working penis. Not ideal preparation.

Bellerin ---------- Chambers ---------- Gabriel ---------- Monreal
Arteta
Cazorla -------------------- Rene-Adelaide
Wilshere ------------------------------ Ozil
Walcott
Going with that but gonna be plenty of movement going forward.

Same here, keep wanting to put Walcott in my team but unsure if he will get the minutes?!

But probably Giroud.

I'd be more than happy to see Walcott playing there, always looks dangerous, on form, suits our style of play better, actually gives Ozil some movement to work with and looks more than capable of making the position his own. Has done nothing wrong when played there and fully deserves a run.

Huge risk if we don't get a CB this summer. LvG said he's probably going to start Blind there against Spurs, god.
