So the other day watching the Football League show or whatever Channel 5's incarnation of it is now called, I had an odd craving to start as Dagenham and Redbridge in League 2, something I haven't done since their conference days as part of the hero challenge. For whatever reason I was craving mid-table LLM meddling and fighting to stay in the black year in, year out over winning trophies. I think I'll hold it off for FM16 but it's certainly something I'll do.

It got me to thinking what everyone else had planned for FM16? I'm sure there are some weird and wonderful ideas on the site, so I thought I'd put it out there.

What's the plans chaps?

Hmm,ive always been a fan of LLM too,something ive never done in previous fm"s is start abroad.Im thinking along the lines of a eastern european save,or a scandinavian save,defo one of those two are my options.

Scandinavia is a great challenge due to the finances in the league, it can be hard to catch the big boys up and then when you do you're still behind Europe's best. I think that could be a good shout!

Yeh im thinking either start off unemployed see where i end up or either choose a mid table team from somewhere and see how that develops with a slightly higher manager reputation..Where exactly in scandinavia i dont know though :/

I will be starting a Pentagon/Hexagon challenge right away after adding world leagues pack from claassen...Before I get the pack, I will go with LLM to get the hang of new updates...

Not 100% sure if I will purchase it this year, I've been tempted but not got around to pre ordering yet and not played much FM15 over the last 4 months I'd say!

Wouldn't even have a clue what sort of save to have this year after my current long term one I had on this version

I am not making any kind of nations or Leagues but will depend on one created and distributed by Claassen over the years.

to be fair, you did just about everything in that save

Would be good to see you back with another epic or something like you're old save where you made Man United fully English!

You'll end up ordering it chum, I'd be disappointed if you don't.

But back on topic and I'm pretty much in the same boat as Dan is although I'm almost guaranteed that I'll purchase Football Manager 2016 but whether that'll be on pre-order for the beta or just buy it on release day remains to be seen. As for who I'm going to manage, again, like Dan, I've literally no idea after having an long-term career on FM15, albeit it ended being cut short due to 'motivational' purposes.

If they release a league extension for Serie D then I'd be tempted to manage Parma.

Think there will be some sort of custom for that shedender,problem is with italy is all the daft joint contracts and that kinda stuff,puts me off managing there personally.

That's the main reason why I never managed (properly) in Italy before, co-ownerships was a pain.

Almost everything! haha! Was a fun play around though,

I think if/when I do decide to get the game it may be an FCUM save now they'll be playable without an additional DB, maybe try and topple united and city at the prem and then eventually focus on winning more trophies than they both have. Or maybe go somewhere like Wales and try and improve the league, win a CL and move to the next team, or Gibraltar if they make it playable!

Quite bad I know but I've never managed a team other than my hometown team of Blackburn Rovers on any Football Manager game. This year I hope to add my own created team into Skrill North and take them up through to the Premier League, and also have a shot at managing my favourite European team Borussia Dortmund.

I quite enjoyed taking Everton to the top on FM15, I want to go lower though and started as a lower league team and take them to the top. AFC Wimbledon are the favourites.

That, or St Etienne, make them the biggest club in France again.

I like doing long term career games.

I'll try and get databases for as many nations as possible, start off with the Penta/Hexagon 1st, then trying out regional journeyman saves if I ever get bored with the former.

Hoping that SI increases their database numbers for the smaller nations, and not have that greyed-out players in small NTs bug.

With FM16 arriving soon,ive narrowed my choices down on who to be and i'll be doing a Scandinavian save.Heres my options... IFK Gothenburg,Randers FC,FC IIves,Keflavik,Stromsgodset,not quite sure who though....

I'm seriously considering having a long-term career with Newcastle on this years game, something I've done for quite a while, in an attempt to try and guide the club to some silverware, but I'm still yet to actually pre-order the game this year and I expect the beta to be out next Friday/Saturday ffs.

I think I shall purchase the game on Friday when I get paid and am actually looking forward to getting back into the game and hopefully another long term save! After many years trying I think I have to go with the FCUM idea! Now they are a playable team I don't need to worry about downloading an extra DB which is much better, no big worries over crashes due to fake information etc.

The plan, to take FCUM to the very top from the very bottom and then eventually try to catch both united and city in individual trophies, for example, win more FA Cups than United and City, more league titles, make FCUM the most successful club in Manchester!

Think I'm going to select one of the following journeys when I get the full FM16 version. Either going to conquer the British Steel Challenge, go and conquer Africa; similar to what I did with my Asian save this year, go and do a save called back in the USSR or 'The Very Best Challenge'.
