A number of my players are complaining about the individual training i have assigned them to, they say it is not beneficial. For example I am trying to get smalling to improve his passing, but he claims that this is not beneficial, I find this baffling because passing is clearly the weakest area of his game so how can he claim that passing training is not beneficial, this makes no sense. Even more annoying is that there is no option to interact with the player to explain why you have given him that training regime, your only option is to take him off the training or you are stuck with an unhappy player. I didn't have this problem in previous FM games, is there any way around this???

I'm starting to realise there is no point doing anything in FM16, players just whinge about everything possible and even when there is the option to interact they always end up threatening to turn the squad against you! I guess the only way round the individual training is just to let him whinge but leave him doing it, not sure if that will be damaging to his performance levels though.

yeah, at the end of the day the players should do what they are damn well told to do in training. since when do the players tell the manager what to do with training, this is just silly. when guardiola becomes city manager could you imagine the centre backs at city trying to tell guardiola that they don't need to work on there passing

training isn't rocket science! I only train people in their field or in the area that I want them to play in.

i am well aware that training is not rocket science thanks, i have been setting up training for years in fm and do not have any difficulty in doing so, if you refer back to the original post you will see that this thread is to do with players complaining about my individual training, it wasn't a comment on the difficulty of setting up training...

Try to train him as ball playing defender because passing is one of the most important abilities of the role.

I always have players complaining about training. that's what players do IRL! yet, I have never had a player ask to leave in game because he felt I was training him too hard!

my advice is, ignore the player and continue how you see fit. the results will show!

but, keep clicking on their 'development/training' every so often and always request new preferred moves.

employ decent coaches as well.

And there I've been, trying to train all my players in rocket science. None of them thought it was beneficial
