And they say British players are overpriced...

That will go down well.

Crazy that they've paid so much when he had 6 months left on his contract

Said it before in this thread, Chinese clubs are absolute chumps and have no idea whatsoever what they are doing.
They've bought Obafemi Martins too, I haven't seen any quotes on a potential fee, but I'm sure even the MLS has mugged them.
Sam
Hoping this isn't true, way too much money.

Might be best for both parties, I don't think he's any better now than he was 3 or 4 years ago.

What about Campbell? Is he also going to leave?
Ninja
they only paid about £15m for him. They'll definitely get 20 odd in this market. Everton maybe.

Jonas
West Ham it is apparently.
Dan
As good as he is, when he is fit, I wouldn't say he was £45million good! Get that money Klopp and buy a new, fit striker in the summer!

It definitely is. Are you mental?
Liverpool overpaid for Carroll because he was young and english, and their transfer policy was pretty shite.
PSG dont need english players, Sturridge isnt that young and he lives on the operating table.

I suppose what I mean is it isn't surprising, rather than comment on the ridiculousness of it.
There are definitely cheaper, better choices out there.
I think this summer transfer window could be one of the craziest yet.

Well, according to Sky's "Swedish Football Expert", Zlatan doesn't want to live in Manchester but would like to join a club in London. Suggesting Arsenal (although available on a free, don't see them matching his wage demands), Chelsea (would match wages, but maybe not European requirements)...or West Ham! Now, that is a shout. With the money coming in from the new Premier League pay outs, potentially qualifying for Champions League and moving into the Olympic Stadium I would actually love to see this happen and agree it is actually a possibility!

It's either us or United, wages aren't an issue.
