2015/16 Barclays Premier League Thread

I don't really agree with that. We're blatantly not a good side, but the raw materials of one is there I think. We've got a ton of players that in the right system and in the right positions are good enough. De Gea, Shaw, Smalling, Blind, Herrera, Schneiderlin, Schweinsteiger, Darmien and Martial are all varying degrees of fine (if we play to Mata's strengths I think he's fine too, but I think he's probably a bad fit for us). And with Memphis, Pereira, Januzaj, Rashford, Lingard, Fosu-Mensah and Borthwick-Jackson around the team there's talent there, too (i've somewhat given up on Wilson, but he could force his way back in).

We blatantly lack a few star players, our midfield still isn't good enough, we desperately need a real top quality attacking player and if a top class centre-half is available we should be in for them (are there any top class centre-halves in the game anymore though?) but I don't think we need to do much to our side, just get more out of what we've got and supplement them with genuine quality. I don't think theres any need to rip the side up and start again, again.

Would have been nice for Leicester to either clinch it today or their next game at home to Everton, whereas it'll be tomorrow night most likely. I doubt they'll be worrying too much about that though!

Don't worry Leicester fans, you'll be able to celebrate tomorrow night when we in inevitably screw it up at Chelsea.

Haha that Man Utd team so tryhard ...would've been awesome to see Leicester champions at Old Trafford but...no problem..i can't see how Tottenham will beat Chelsea after their fail against WBA.

If Fellaini is charged then Huth has to be too, surely.

All the pundits are going on about Fellaini's elbow, obviously he shouldn't do that and he's gotten away with it so often, but Huth was pulling his hair. If Fellaini gets punishment then so should Huth.

Hope Fellaini does get banned, thug of a footballer especially lately. Its been a long time coming,at last been caught out.

There's a consensus that both might get bans for the incident. Which IMO would be a just punishment.

I'm not sure 'hair pulling' is actually a red card offence to be fair, but there definitely should be some sort of recognition that there were mitigating factors.

It happened to an ex-player of ours earlier in the season, Marcus Bean had his hair pulled by two Morecambe players and they both got 3 match bans as the panel of refs decided it was a red card offence under violent conduct.

More than fair imo and Huth should get the same, he has been getting away with it a bit this season (no where near as much as Fellaini).
