What happens when you have multiple kits installed?

Sorry for this noobie question...

Yup, so what happens when I have more than one version of the same team's kits installed in the Kits folder? it could be SS kits but made by different users, or even kits of the same team, but different versions (e.g. SS/ LS).

Which of the following happens?

(1) The kits clash so they all do not appear
(2) The computer randomly selects which kit appears in the same
(3) The computer always chooses the same kit to appear

I have a feeling it is (2) but can anyone verify this?
