Hodgson gone, thank fuck for that. Can the FA please get someone that isn't complete shit and has an idea of what they're doing.

Vardy and Rashford were the only ones that actually tried to do anything, the rest of them were pathetic.

I like how Ian Wright was saying how Joe Hart should be dropped for the quarters, whilst 2-1 down at half time.

Could he honestly do a worse job than Hodgson?

Happy for Iceland. Believed they would beat England, and they managed! I am even happier for England, as now Hodgson is gone, and there is a chance of someone useful replacing him. Despite the players being shit, he just made every mistake possible.

Bringing Wilshere over players that actually played in the past year and were in good form. Bringing Wilshere on today while being 2-1 down at half time, what did he think that will add to their game???
Why did Kane take every free kick there was? He wasn't close with the first few, what did he think that will change?
How did Vardy not start?
How did Milner not play more than 5 minutes?
Why on earth did Sterling start when he did fuck all?

Just some questions that everyone ask, but Hodgson decided he was smarter and that is what failed him.

Also seeing how the reacted to the loss... Just sad. No one seemed really upset, as if they never thought they could get further.

Iceland deserved it, it has to be said.

So, a humiliating exit from Europe to a team nobody fancied before the campaign began, the resignation of the bloke responsible, and an uncertain future. Sounds about right.

Anybody else kind of embarrassed to admit they're English right now?

Have been since Thursday.

Oh, we lost the football?

Yeah i'm a hell of a lot more embarrassed about the referendum result than losing in the Footy

Only England could exit Europe twice in one week!

Dunno why and how but England played pathetic football.

Wife convinced me to turn it off at half time to watch the game of thrones season finale. I don't regret that decision.

Once again England have failed to beat Lars Lagerbäck, handing him his first ever knockout victory. Feels dreadful that he's taken fucking Iceland further in an international tournament than he ever did with us.

Feel sorry for Hodgson too.

Well Iceland certainly showed they've got more than just a wide frozen range, thoroughly deserved.

Please, anyone but Southgate in the England manager's role. I'd even take Shearer over him. Personal choice would probably be someone like Eddie Howe. I imagine 'Arry has already got the job lined up though.

A foreigner? Are you mad?
The foreigners are the exact reason you left the euros... or the eu... I don't remember.

Have a proud english manager like Alan Pardew, or Eddie Howe.

The sad thing is that those two are still probably better shouts than who they'll actually give it too.

Steve McClaren it is then. He's got unfinished business, he needs to fail in a World Cup qualifying group.

There's no good English managers so I wouldn't go with an Englishman atm.

That being said there's a dearth in quality of good English players too.

Howe could be a good shout. I say Ranieri. No one is better than taking a terrible team and winning with it so why not? Might get England to play the way he got Leicester playing.

Simply don't agree with a national team having a foreign manager and i personally feel that the only reason one would take the job is because of the massive pay packet that comes with it, not because there heart and soul is in seeing England do well.
