Fellaini charged with violent conduct for the headbutt, but not for the other incidents. Thought he deserved something for the punch tbh

Some leniency towards Fellaini's punishment is down to Moyes post match comments and Fellaini's near enough immediate apology. Mark Halsey did see the other 2 incidents but didn't consider them to be violent conduct according to FA statement.

Apologising shouldn't make a blind bit of difference, he still did it.

He should have been punished for it in all fairness, surely the FA should be able to look at it themselves

I agree. Luis Suarez should have had a far greater punishment for admitting his racist abuse

Mark Halsey's a shite referee.

Fuck knows how a slap and an elbow don't count as violent conduct.

Credit to Moyes for criticising him mind.

Walcott looks to be getting his chance.

Tonight's team: Szczesny, Sagna, Mertesacker, Vermaelen, Gibbs, Arteta, Wilshere, Cazorla, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Walcott, Podolski

Subs: Mannone, Koscielny, Coquelin, Ramsey, Rosicky, Gervinho, Giroud.

Reading are fucking woeful. It's very well done by Arsenal, but Reading aren't even going in for tackles.

Some of Reading's fans booed when the 3rd went in and then a few did at the half time whistle, pricks.

Not really, their team isn't showing any form of effort or fight at all.

Fans will generally excuse lack of talent, but lack of heart and effort is inexcusable. They've had every right to boo.

I'm pleased with the performance so far but much of our lead is down to how awful Reading are. The defending for all three goals was very poor. We're still not home and dry yet, mind.

+1.

I can't see their Russian owner being too impressed by one win by Christmas. I know McDermott got them up but sometimes you have to be ruthless.

4-2 now, as I type. Can it happen??

Booing is completely pointless, it just drains a team of confidence and fight.

Rubbish. If a little bit of booing affects a team then they're obviously not mentally strong enough to be on the pitch in the first place.

Fans pay the money and have a right to voice their displeasure especially if, like Poe said, the players aren't giving their all.

Can you honestly think of one time, when a team has been booed and then went on to a great victory/comeback/performance?

And the owners will put in a lot more money than the fans.

That doesn't really matter but off the top of my head one that you can relate to, Newcastle 4-4 Arsenal? Amongst many other examples that happen every weekend through the divisions.

It certainly doesn't make teams play worse all of a sudden.

Can't really compare owners' hundreds of millions or whatever to a fans wage, either. If there's players on tens of thousands a week not pulling their weight, the fans should let them know.

The fans got behind the team in the 4-4. And it definately does make teams play worse, the negative attitude certainly brings down performances. Blackburn would have booed their way to a Champiobship last season if booing made a difference.
