Thanks Miimaa, to knock one country off the list already is excellent, however I know we won't be as fortunate in every country so we just have to play how it comes. I am using the same tactic at the clubs at the moment, but if it doesn't work I will revert back to one of my different tactics!

I've made a difficult opening few months harder than they needed to be here in Belarus as I've struggled to keep within the budget in the transfer window and blown my chances in the friendlies to really sit in a bad position going into the season. It really wasn't a beautiful pre season.


The transfers saw me scoop four players from Osipovichi, all were on free deals but stupidly we had to pay compensation on the deals meaning we spent more than we actually should of. However all four players from them are decent and first team quality immediately so they were good deals. We also snapped up Kilmovich from Belcard who will be another vital player for us this year.


The team report now looks like this, we are strong in areas however do have some very weak spots. Our defence looks good however there are only three standout players there, Rusetskly, Kilmenko and Makerevich. Midfield is the same with a couple standout players whilst upfront our new signing Kilmovich should be a standout player with a five star rating. We still need to find a new keeper, as soon as possible!


As I said, we had an awful pre season and the results showed how the team just weren't use to playing together or playing with the formation I've brought over from Austria. A busy schedule with ten friendlies this pre season saw us lose five of them, win just two whilst drawing the other three, harmony in camp isn't brilliant and its not the form we wish to take into the season on the back of three straight defeats.

So the league has started here in Belarus and to say its been a good start would be a lie. We've struggled this season to get going and the tactics just aren't working. We faced five league games in the opening month as we faced a tough start to the league.


The season started so promising with our first win of the season. An own goal gifted us the lead before Belcard leveled at the break. Second half we led again, this time with a second own goal going our way. But late on we conceded a second as it looked like we had blown it. But a goal five minutes from summer signing Klimovich saw us secure a three two win and a winning start!

But from then on things turned sour. As we traveled to Verdrich Rechitsa we were dealt a blow. We conceded twice in the first half, before conceding a third in the second half to slump to a poor three nil defeat and bounce back to realisation. It will be a tough season.

Returning home to Rudensk, we lost three nil for the secon game running. This time one goal before the break, followed by two coming shortly after the restart. Another poor display where no real attacking chances were made, we were never going to win this.

Traveling away to Smorgon we put in a late good display to ensure we grabbed a vital point. Despite going into the break two nil down we had belief and that counted as we stood strong to earn a point late on. Dyatlov netted the first with eleven minutes left on the clock before Savitskly netted late on to secure a two all draw and grab us another vital point this season.

However the opening month ended on a low note as we were beaten by SKVICh. Another poor performance. Two nil down at the break as we started poorly once again. Second half we pulled one back with Yanovskiy netting for us but to no avail as they added a third in the final three minutes.


So its certainly been a rocky start to the season but already above the predicted finish, not by much though. With just four points from five games proves its going to b a very long and hard season for us, but if we can pick up a few results against the lesser teams we could be in good shape to stay in the division and hopefully compete next year, not the start I was expecting here in Belarus.

Extremely poor pre season programme and you’ve unfortunately taken that into the league season with an awful first month at the club but I’m sure you’ll be able to turn it around eventually.

I wouldn’t even worry mate as I can’t see myself doing any better straight away, if that’s any consolation.

Our second month was another one containing five games for us to compete with, once again all the games were played in the league. Despite May being a bright month on paper, it was a different story on the pitch as once again we showed signs of struggle through the month


The second month started mediocrely as we traveled to Polatsk an earned a very creditable draw. We slipped behind early on in the first half but our battling spirit shone through as we went on to grab a late equaliser. Klimovich netting with thirteen minutes on the clock to earn a point.

Our first home game of the month saw us welcome a Granit side who were only just above us in the table. A close game was on the cards and that was shown to the fans as once again we played out a one all draw. Once again we fell behind before the break but again came back into it. Klimovich was the striker on form as he found the back of the net.

Our second, and final home game of the month of May saw us welcome Lida and end up on the wrong end of a three one scoreline. Despite Klimovich netting his third in as many games for us it just wasn't to be as we failed to win for the seventh time this season on the bounce.

A very decent, battling performance against Pinsk saw us take a more than creditable two all draw as we came from behind twice to steal a point. We went behind after twenty one minutes before Dyatlov brought us level with six minutes before the break. Despite Pinsk netting two minutes after the restart, we didn't lie down and a second equaliser was scored by Dyatlov moments later as we stole a point.

We ended the month on the road against struggling Beryoza and recorded only our second win in the opening ten games this season. We led within the first minute as Dyatalov continued his fine scoring run with his third in two games and twenty minutes later put us two up with his second. We conceded twice before the break for it to go back level and it looked like once again we'd blow it. However a brilliant second half saw us net three to win five two. All three goals coming from in form striker Klimovich!


Ten points from ten games really isn't beautiful and proves the media predications are going to be spot on for us this year. Struggling to find wins we sit down in twelfth place, just a position above our expected finish and really are in the relegation scrap for the long haul this year. Only four points above the two relegation spots so far proves we are in trouble whilst being sixteen points from the top.

June proved to be a short month, a very short month with just one league fixture for us. So with this I went on to arrange some friendlies to try and keep the fitness levels and and get the team adapting to my style of football, however our last lot of friendlies went badly.


With just one competitive match this month it was important we won it and we did as we faced bottom side DSK. Wemade a strong start as we led within six minutes through Yanovskiy and addeed a second before the break as Klimovich continued his fine scoring record. However conceding late on put a bit of pressure on us, however we stayed strong to secure our second win on the bounce.


With a one hundred percent win rate this month we move up the table a little. Playing DSK we were always needing to win it and as we did we secured back to back wins to boost our position from twelfth up to tenth to ease us away from the relegation battle a little. We need to find some solid wins though.


So with just one league game this month I thought I would go and arrange some friendlies, in hope that we could pick up a few much needed wins and take the morale up a level. Unfortuntely that didn't happen as we won just one game of the four friendlies and that was against our reserves. Another poor bunch of friendlies.

Tough start, but I'm sure you can turn it around in the autumn.

Back to a full competitive month in July and already being on the tough side this season I was hoping we'd get a little bit of a break this month. However with four hard games in July it was very...very unlikely that we'd get the break we needed. However coming up to the halfway stage in the league this year we would be able to reflect on my first fifteen games here in Belarus.


The month began with a bottom of the table clash as we traveled to Zabudova yet a confident performance by our in form striker saw us claim all three points. Eleven minutes in Klimovich put us infront before the homeside leveled by the break. Twelve minutes from time however Klimovich went on to net his second and our second to secure a confident two one victory.

We then welcomed Slavia Mozyr and another wayful performance saw us slip to a four two defeat. Two down in the opening eleven minutes we knew it was going to be a bad game, conceding a third before the break was another blow. However Chekan netted first after the break to bring us back in contention, before Slavia Mozyr put the game beyond doubt with their fourth before Chekan netted a second consolation goal.

However we managed to cause a huge shock when we welcomed Khimik Svetlogorsk as we recorded a huge three one victory. Yanovskiy put us infront after just three minutes before Savitskiy doubled our lead after nineteen. Khimik Svetlogorsk caused a small stir before the break by pulling one back, but after the restart Chekan netted to secure a three one win.

It didn't boost the clubs chances though as we fail to a defeat away to Gorodeya at the end of the month with a poor performance where we created very little. Falling to a three nil defeat was bad and slumped us back down the table after the hard work in the match before.


Really not much to say on the league table this season. Its clear we are not going anywhere this year, its just about getting a team together capable of competing next year now and that means getting them use to the tactics and everything. Ten points clear of the relegation zone we are beginning to look like we will stay away from that. Nine points outside the playoff spot but we are likely to miss out on that too!

August, when a season should start really. Well the main ones do anyway, still no cup draw but five more league games and would it finally kickstart our season? I can't see it happening but we would give it our best shot as we always do. A milestone in management for me to!


The month began by traveling to Belcard where we recorded a strong two nil win with a valuable clean sheet. We raced into the lead after just five minutes through Bogdevich before adding a second in the second forty five coming from Savitskiy to secure a two nil win.

A second away game on the bounce saw us travel to Rudensk. A slow start saw us behind after nine minutes and come half an hour we were two down and sinking fast. Luckily we put in a solid second half and two goals in three minutes saw us comeback to snatch a point. Our first came from Rusetskiy before Yanovskiy nodded home a corner to secure the comeback and earn the point.

Our unbeaten run continued as we returned home and welcomed Vedrich Rechitsa. Another narrow game was left late to decide, very late. With just three minutes left on the clock substitute Tishura made himself a hero as he slotted home from close range to win us all three points.

Four unbeaten in the league as we welcomed Smorgon, a midtable clash between the two sides was again secured by a single goal as we also kept our third clean sheet in four games. Bogdevich this time with the goal coming on the halfhour mark to secure the win.


We ended the month with a clash against league leaders SKVICh and it turned out to be my one hundredth game in charge. However it was a memorable one as we slipped to a one nil defeat. A good scoreline nonetheless, just hope it gives us confidence going into next month.


A fantastic month for us saw us almost go unbeaten and with just a defeat from the league leaders we are now up to eighth in the table. Could of probably done a bit better but we are overachieving now and just need to keep form like this going to keep a strong mid table finish come the end of the season. Unlike Shedender, I am here at Baranovichi for the long run! I will build them into the best Belarus has to offer.

Another tough month done and dusted and even with this one being a little shorter than expecting.. We faced just three league games this month of September so we had to try and keep our good form going. Finally finding our feet we can begin to rise up the table, however a top finish is off the cards now.


The short season began with us welcoming Polatsk where we recorded a fantastic win. We raced into the lead after just seven minutes with Klimovich putting us ahead before Polatsk leveled. Moments before the break Dyatlov put us ahead with a close range shot. Second half we were pulled back level before a late show from Rusetskiy firstly netting to put us back infront with twelve minutes to go, before he set up Nikitin nine minutes from time to secure a four two win.

Traveling away to Granit we thought we could win, but this time lost a six goal thriller by the same score we won by last game. Klimovich once again gave us the lead after sixteen minutes but come the half hour mark we were two one behind. We conceded a third before the break before Dytalov netted in injury time for the second game running. Second half we conceded again to slip to a defeat.

We ended the month at home welcoming Pinsk where we returned to winning ways once again, this time with a narrow one nil win. The only goal of the game was taken well on the sixty fifth minute and who else to finish it than Klimovich. His low strike to the bottom right corner to secure his thirteenth goal in twenty three games this year.


We have just seven games left on the fixture list now this season and over the next two months we will look to secure the top half finish. We are now six positions and twelve points ahead of our predicted finish in thirteenth and just need to keep focus over the last couple months. Another good month nonetheless for us though, two wins from three, could of potentially won all three but we will take six points.

2 wins out of 3 isnt bad at all, hopefully with those last 7 games you push on!

Its a good rise indeed Dodds! If we can keep that going into the season, we could find ourselves performing very well next year!

Our penultimate month of the season saw us face five of our final seven games this season and it wasn't a glorious month for us but with the season finally nearing an end it was about to end in a bad way. We just needed to keep composure and ensure we finished in the top ten, easier said than done.


The month started so brightly as we welcomed struggling Beryoza and recorded a two nil win, our only win of the month. Savitskiy put us infront after thirty six minutes to raise the mood. And we rounded up the win moments from the end as Tishura netted with three minutes left on the clock.

But form then dropped as we faced four defeats on the bounce the first coming as we traveled to Lida and lost out two nil, Despite being close to them on the table on the pitch we failed to show that, falling to a poor defeat come full time.

As we welcomed the leagues bottom side, DSK we fell to a poor defeat in which we competed, but poorly. We took the lead after just four minutes when Klimovich netted for us before three goals from DSK saw them lead us at the break. Second half Klimovich netted his and our second before DSK added a fourth. We went on to score through Kosmin however DSK added a fifth as we fell to defeat.

Things got worst as we traveled to Slavia Mozyr as we got smashed four nil. Very little happened in the game and we didn't deserve to win. We failed to make more than three chances throughout the whole game, conceding two goals either half, a poor performance.

Four defeats on the bounce as Khimik Svetlogorsk smashed us five nil in our second away game on the bounce. Morale and form are at its lowest and now with just two league games left we are set to finish in a strong mid table spot. But with a top ten finish available, could we upset the odds and finish eighth or higher?


The month started so brightly but ended in a huge ball of fire. Our league form took a blow with four defeats on the bounce but as we dropped a position the league is almost done now. We've got just two league games left to go and we look set to finish strong in the middle of the table, this will give us a good chance to fight it out next year if we get the money to strengthen in the summer.

We fell behind after eight minutes but a swift attacking change from me saw us turn the game on its head. Bogdevich brought us back in it before Klimovich netted his first of the night to gift us the lead at the break. Second half we secured the win as Klimovich netted his second of the evening and our third.

We ended the month and season with a four one defeat against second place Gorodeya. Unfortunately it wasn't the greatest end to the season as we fell to a four one defeat. Two early goals sunk us before Klimovich netted his eighteenth goal of the season. But two more from the playoff placed side saw us sink to a defeat.


The season is over...finally! Well, I say finally but I've actually enjoyed my first stint this year in Belarus, its been a challenging one and following how quickly and well we coped in Austria it was about time we had something to compete with. A strong finish in eighth, five places above where we were predicted was plenty good enough for me, and I'm confident we can build on that next year.

Great league finish, lets hope you can build on that come next season.

It certainly was a good season for us finishing eighth Shedender, I feel if we press on a little this year and get the right men and right tactics we could challenge for the league, we just need to get off to a better start!

So my first season here in Belarus is done and dusted and I prepare for my second season in charge here at Baranovichi. We had a good season last year, finishing up in eighth and this year I am confident we can do better. With a few months out of the way due to the winter kicking in, we now head into another pre season and look to take on another good season and possibly compete this year round.


The winter break provided some good news for myself as the Baranovichi board realised my potential and how well we coped last year to offer me a new deal. Initially they offered me a two year deal, which would be a twelve month expansion on my current deal. They offered to rise the wages to £650, however I was happy to settle for £600 to help the club out and there we are, I will be here till 2018 if all goes well.


And following the first bit of good news, the board quickly provided me a second bonus. Our good season has seen the board go ahead and get the grant for an expansion. We are adding an extra 947 seats to the stadium which will cost almost half a million but in seven months time when its completed it will be more than good enough for us. Hopefully we can use it to our benefit, more ticket sales and more income.


Shortly after the winter break had past the board came back into contact with me and set up the season expectations for the year to come. They want us to secure another mid table finish which should be striaght forward for us, safety is the expectations. Once again no transfer budget however we do have a small wage budget available but it won't last very long I can assure you.


Here is the financial situation at the club, not perfect but its one we can deal with. The club are almost one hundred thousand pounds in the red now but its a minor debt compared to what I had over in Austria. As you can see, still no transfer budget but the wages are very tight. We are currently over spending by a meer twenty nine pounds but I have players to ship out to recruit some new ones.


The pre season friendly list has been selected and we have a mix of tough games along with some easy games to try and raise morale. Hopefully with the new faces we will be able to bring in a few more wins than we did last pre season. As you can see March and April will be a very busy month on the pitch and I think if we get the tactics and team right from the start it could be a competitive year for us!

A decent finish in the league, hopefully you can improve this season. Also, love the average wage of £50 a week

After my first season here in Belarus ended I now went in to my second pre season and with the expectations and that already shown I hoped I could have a good pre season on the pitch as well as behind the scenes with transfers to strengthen the squad ahead of the new season.


The transfers at the club have now been concluded and I don't plan on making anymore needless deals. Obviously if new faces come up and are worth signing I will look into it. A busy transfer window saw eight players leave the club as they were needless and had no quality what so ever whilst nine players join the club to strengthen our chances for promotion this season, i hope.


I won't screenshot all the players but here is a rundown of the team report that my trsuty assistant manager has given me for the season coming. Our new goalkeepers are stronger than what we had last year whilst our defence is looking quite strong too, except possibly left back. Our midfield is brilliant whilst we have two quality strikers who have more firepower than we will need, but hopefully they are both among the goals this year.


However the finances have been hit hard this season and we are now over one hundred thousand pounds deep into the red and not looking to get out of it for some time whilst our wage budget is also over spent. The club simply didn't offer me enough to bring in the quality so we are over spending by three hundred pounds, however our average wage is still only sixty three pounds per week.


Over the pre season we played nine friendlies which the squad had to get use to the tactics as well as playing with each other as we had a number of new faces in the club. But with nine games we won four and lost the other five. Pleasing thing was we found the net in every game but one whilst keeping just one clean sheet wasn't a high. We now head into the season on the back of two friendly wins and hopefully some rising morale.

Squad looks solid on paper. A poor pre season but It's going to take time for the players to gel together. KIU. You'll do well this season.
