This file is intended for FM13.3, and will need to be re-applied if/when patches/updates are released to ensure full compatibility. This is due to the fact that some files which are removed when installing this file are re-installed when patches come out.

Magrippinho very helpfully created a YouTube video on how this file should be installed. Some of the contents are different - but the procedure is identical.

Or, you can follow the below instructions to install this file:

Step 1: Go to

PC
 Program Files \ Steam \ SteamApps \ common \ football manager 2013 \ data \ db \ 1300
AND
 Program Files \ Steam \ SteamApps \ common \ football manager 2013 \ data \ db \ 1330
MAC
USERNAME \ Library \ Application Support \ Steam \ SteamApps \ Common \ Football Manager 2013 \ Data \ db \ 1300
AND
USERNAME \ Library \ Application Support \ Steam \ SteamApps \ Common \ Football Manager 2013 \ Data \ db \ 1330
For Mac Lion users, the Library folder will be hidden. Use this link to find out how to show it.

Step 2: Delete the dbc, edt and lnc folders from the folder above

Step 3: Copy the dbc, edt and lnc folder from this download into the folder mentioned in step 1.

Step 4: Go to:

Documents \ Sports Interactive \ Football Manager 2013
Step 5: Open the folder named "editor data" contained therein. If it does not exist, then create it.

Step 6: Keeping the folder in step 5 open, go back to the file you downloaded and open the folder named "editor data files".

Step 7: Copy the 30 files in the folder from step 6 into the folder mentioned in step 5.

To check if the file is working, go to the Champions Cup and EURO Vase, and they should be renamed to Champions League and Europa League respectively. If you are in the middle of a save-game, German national teams will be populated in the next instance that players are called up, and not instantly.

Could anyone upload the 13.2.0 Ireland.dbc file for me? I accidentally overwrote it without backing it up.

Edit: I'm also getting the annoying French short-names after installing the fix, is that a known issue or have I fucked something up?

So, if we have the latest patch 13.2... and then download the current version of the Real Names file again... is it just the Ireland file that comes with the patch that we need to put back in, or is it the other new (dated 20/12) files that come with the latest patch too? I'm confused.

Good afternoon,

Apologies to all for not solving this issue closer to patch release but I've not been online for a couple of days. I have updated the files in the OP and they should now work with the latest patch. Thanks for your patience.

Do you mean you're getting the short names or you are not getting them?

Either way go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Football Manager 2013\data\db\1300\lnc and delete the folder named all, if it's still there.

Found the issue, had to change the name of the editor data files folder from "editor data files" to "editor data".

what are the changes Mons?

Nothing much really - just some additions to competition and club names proposed in this thread and via various PMs. The new release also ensures full compatibility with 13.2.

suggestions:

awards file:
"AWARD_LONG_NAME_CHANGE" 102406 "Bola de Ouro (FIFA)" "Portuguese"
"AWARD_SHORT_NAME_CHANGE" 102406 "Bola de Ouro" "Portuguese"

city file:
"CLUB_SHORT_NAME_CHANGE" 1472 "Aves" ""
"CLUB_SHORT_NAME_CHANGE" 1489 "Sporting" ""
"CLUB_SHORT_NAME_CHANGE" 55056835 "Sporting B" ""
"CLUB_SHORT_NAME_CHANGE" 1494 "Guimarães" ""
"CLUB_SHORT_NAME_CHANGE" 55056925 "Guimarães B" ""
"CLUB_SHORT_NAME_CHANGE" 2397 "Famalicão" ""
"CLUB_SHORT_NAME_CHANGE" 2423 "Gondomar" ""
"CLUB_SHORT_NAME_CHANGE" 2433 "Nacional" ""
"CLUB_SHORT_NAME_CHANGE" 2440 "Atlético" ""

suggestion:
on the folder "editor data files", i suggest that you use sub folders, like "media", "club names", etc etc, or, or change the names of the files to a keyword on the start, example, "media - xpto", this way, a person can easly use the file he/she wants, i don't use any of the files that change club names for example, i have them all in your lnc file.

thanks.

I'll add the proposed changes in time for the next release.

I don't believe you can use sub-folders within the editor data folder. As for the file name changes, there's only a small number of files and they're clearly labelled, so I don't really see the need for that tbh...

Hello, and thanks alot for this, forgot to delete these files in dbc files and didnt even noticed that before my 2nd season.

But your great job saved my game -i dont like to play without german&japan; national teams, they are important for me-

By the way, i was wondering if there is a way for not changing names for Tournaments and National Teams. Im playing on Turkish Language and your files makes my game half english If its not posible its ok tho, just wanted to know.

cachirro, having thought it over, your idea to rename each file in some way to categorise it is not so bad. To avoid confusion, I'll not do it for this version of FM, but I will defintely look to change it for the FM14 version of this file

Yes it is possible to change them. Post anything you want to change into Turkish and give me the Turkish equivalent and I'll do my best to change it It would also be save-game compatible

Thanks, i wasnt expecting to get an answer that fast

National Names;

The Czech Republic - Çek Cumhuriyeti
The Faroe Islands - Faroe Adaları
The Republic of Ireland - İrlanda Cumhuriyeti
Montenegro - Karadağ
Former Yugoslavian Republic of Macedonia - Makedonya

Tournaments;

FIFA World Cup UEFA Qualifying Section - FIFA Dünya Kupası Avrupa Elemeleri
UEFA European Championship - UEFA Avrupa Kupası
UEFA European Football Championship Qualifiers - UEFA Avrupa Kupası
UEFA Champions League - UEFA Şampiyonlar Kupası
UEFA Europa League - UEFA Avrupa Ligi
UEFA Super Cup - UEFA Süper Kupa

these are enough i guess but if you tell me how to do that, or if its posible to do this with old file that contains original names for competitions etc. would be easier i think.

Probably not, well bits and pieces may work but I doubt it will be fully compatible. No harm in trying, but make a backup of the originals.

I happened to log in immediately after you posted

I've done the changes you've requested and they will all be included in any upcoming releases of the file. Contact me via PM if you want them sooner.

I'd much rather you told me which other changes you want so that (a) they'll be in place for the next release and (b) fellow Turkish speakers can use them as well.

Ok, cheers. i'll send you PMs when i found anything that overrides Turkish Language option.

I'm gonna share this page on "turksportal" (dunno if its okey to share website names, so i just type mid-table) which is made by official FM Turkey researchers. So more people will use your files.

Keep the good work. Thank you.

I just found out that the 1.2 update have less editor data file than the 1.1 version. Do I have to delete all the old 1.1 editor files or should I just overwrite them and let the extra files exist? Thanks for any reply. Keep up the good work.

(Edit) Nevermind. I just found out that the editor data files remain the same, numerically that is. Accidentally entering the dbc folder when I want to see the editor files. Just wanna say thank you for all your hard work. Keep up the good work, mate!

You can use them, on Mac at least. Here is how mine is structured, and all files load properly.

I hadn't even tried to use sub-folders in the editor data folder tbh.

As a rule of thumb, I'm a bit scared of releasing this file with subfolders as it could be a bit tricky to manage should some files needed to be renamed or deleted. I think I'll stick to appending an acronym on the filename in the FM14 version to separate file types

On steam, I believe 'Verify Integrity Of Game Cache' will re-create them.

You can get to this by 'right clicking' on game, 'properties' and then onto the 'local files' tab.
You may need to delete the 3 folders already there, if you have copied mons files over.

You'll need to Login to comment
