London City FC - February 2038
Into February and still on for a clean sweep of all five trophies this season and the form we're currently in, would anyone bet against us at this stage. Unbeaten in over forty matches now we seeked to extend it to fifty plus if we could have another good month. We faced just two Premier League games this month whilst seeing one FA Cup match, one Champions League match and our third EFL Cup Final in a row to end the month.
Remaining unbeaten, well up to the final game of the month at least as the EFL Cup Final result will be revealed at the bottom of this post. A couple draws slipping into our game but we keep fighting. We welcomed and beat Southampton at the start of February and won three one. Akoli netting in the first half with it one all at half time. Landzaat and Bernier netted to secure the win. A topsy turvey game saw us narrowly hold our own and take a point against London Rivals West Ham in an eight goal thriller, drawing four all. Wottrich, Fofana, Arregui and Andrews all netting for us. The FA Cup wasn't providing any competition at this stage either with a comfortable four nil win at home against Everton. Akoli netting again, whilst Bernier, Fofana and Guest from the spot rounded up that victory. The First Knockout Round of the Champions League saw us draw one all against Bayern Munich. Akoli had given us the lead in Germany, all set for a big second leg at home.
We are looking set for a second Premier League title and a second one in concession as we stay top of the pile, still unbeaten after twenty seventh matches. Just eleven matches to go this season, the lowest we can now finish is eighth whilst Manchester United are still applying some pressure on us just eight points behind in second place. Manchester City look to have secured a top three finish, seven points behind United in second but ten points clear of Spurs in fourth. Liverpool are just eight points above the drop zone at the bottom end of the table.
What a game! What a win! Probably my favorite Cup Final to date, I thought we had lost it not once, not twice, but three times as we fell behind three times throughout the match at Wembley. Juliano gave Arsenal the host after just ten minutes but we leveled through Fofana in the twenty third minute. A minute of madness then followed, Hammond gave Arsenal the lead late in the thirty fifth minute, we took kick off went up the other end and leveled immediately with Arregui. The game stayed that way and went into Extra Time. There Arsenal took the lead for the third time of the day when Juliano netted his second for the red side of London. But we never gave us Andrews netted in injury time of the first half of extra time to force a penalty shootout. It was a dreadful shootout to, just two penalties were converted which were both ours as Wall saved two penalties and two hit the woodwork, securing our third EFL Cup on the bounce.

London City FC - March 2038
Just three months remaining this season and we're still in the hunt to scoop all five trophies this season. It'd be some season if we could do the clean sheet this year, after scooping all four domestic trophies last year around. The Champions League is the only one missing from our trophy cabinet to date. We had the youth intake this month and on top of that faced three more Premier League games as well as the FA Cup Sixth Round and the Second leg of the Champions League First Knockout Round against Bayern Munich.
It would seem our youth intake is beginning to improve and despite not being superb still, the best player to come through the academy for some years now is Warren McCarthy. I don't think he'll make it to the Premier League but we will see.
Dammit! We were finally beaten this season, fifty one games unbeaten in all competitions from 17th May 2037 to 17th March 2038. The following game saw us finally lose against Watford. A strong three nil win at home against Leicester saw us start the month strongly. Wottrich and a brace from Akoli saw us start well. We then traveled to Everton where we beat them two one, came back from behind late on with Akoli and Arregui netting. We've advance to the FA Cup Semi Final when we beat Middlesbrough at home in the Sixth Round. Kabongo getting a rare goal with Arregui striking again. And then into Champions League action with us welcoming German giants Bayern Munich. We beat them three one, a confident showing saw us three nil up at the break with Akoli, Landzaat and Arregui on target. Our first defeat since May 2037 saw Watford take all three points from us. We lost three two, taking the lead twice but couldn't hold on. Ending the month with the Champions League Quarter Final where we blew a two goal lead in Spain against Barcelona, drawing two all.
Its tightening up at the top of the table as Manchester United close the gap to just five points now with eight league games remaining. They're on a strong season themselves losing just two matches all season. Its looking solid that a top two finish is the case this year, we surely can't blow our strong start now to lose the top spot.

London City FC - April 2038
And now down to our final two months of competitive football and despite our unbeaten run being ended by Watford last month, after managing fifty one games without a defeat, we were still in the hunt to scoop all five trophies this year around if we can hold our nerve and finally do the job in Europe this year. Another busy month April was with us playing in three different competitions still, would that be the case come the end of the month...
A superb month for Thierry Akoli who couldn't stop scoring, a couple more defeats beginning to enter our game probably as the team are getting tired, we've played a lot of matches this year around but we're still picking up points. We welcomed Huddersfield and picked up a one nil win to start the month before welcoming Barcelona and winning the tie narrowly one nil, three two on aggregate to progress to our third Semi Final in three years in that competition. Akoli made it three goals in three matches for April when he netted early in a one all draw away at Chelsea. He didn't stop either when we welcomed Tottenham and slipped to our second league defeat of the season, three two, he hit a brace tho. Before going one better and netting a hatrick against Manchester City in a more than comfrotable four one win, Arregui with the opening. That took Akoli to eight goals in five games this month. A draw in the league away at Manchester United wasn't a bad result one all, stops them catching us for now before we comfortably beat Newcastle in the FA Cup Semi Final four one to set up our third FA Cup Final in three years as we look to defend it again. Finally ending the month with a home defeat, one nil against Manchester United in the Champions League Semi Final First Leg.

Its always gonna be the one you least suspect tbf. So why not to somebody in lower midtable?
Almost there though Dan. And tbf 51 games is still a hell of an achievement. See if you can bring this home.

London City FC - May 2038
Here we go then, the final month of another season, season twenty two in fact and we were still in the running to scoop all five competitions this year around. We have already scooped both the Community Shield as well as the EFL Cup on penalties earlier this calendar year. We now go into May with the Premier League title, FA Cup and European Champions League all on the line still. Three Premier League games along with the Champions League Semi Final Second leg against Manchester United, the same opponents we've got in the FA Cup Final. Here is how it all panned out...
Another unbeaten month to end the season after slipping to a couple defeats over the last two months, but how would the FA Cup Final end, after United knocked us out the Champions League. At home we welcomed Wolves at the start of May, winning four one as Akoli netted a brace, Wottrich and Bernier also both on target before the break. We couldn't overturn the one goal deposit in the Champions League against Manchester United, drawing two all on the night of the Second Leg with Dunn and Mazurek netting for us. It was a third Semi Final exit in a row though for us. A trip to Middlesbrough saw us narrowly win a seven goal thriller, two one down at the break after Landzaat netted for us, Wottrich, Dunn and Akoli netted within twelve minutes of each other for us to come back and win. We ended the season against Liverpool, winning three two, coming back again from two down with an Akoli brace and Arregui also netting.
We are indeed crowned Premier League champions and by a comfortable nine point margin in the end of Manchester United. We set the club a new points tally and new wins tally in a season however still were eight points off breaking the Premier League points tally record which United hold at ninety nine points. Manchester City finished third a massive fifteen points behind their city rivals in red whilst fourth place Arsenal were a further point behind securing Champions League football. It'll be Europa League for West Ham, Spurs, Southampton and probably Middlesbrough.
Victorious London City celebrate famous quadruple for second season running. Yep, we've scooped the whole lot of domestic trophies again this year as we ran out Manchester United in the FA Cup Final to win on penalties. We dominated the whole game and extra time but couldn't find the break through, even with an extra man late on. But a show on character from the spot saw us win four three after six penalties each.

London City FC - End Of Season Round Up 2038
Another wonderful season under our belts, back to back domestic quadruples secured and now we're on the end of season round up yet again. Still missing the big trophy, the Champions League trophy with us hitting the Semi Final for a third time running. However here is the run down on the competitions, finances and the player stats for season twenty two.
Lets start at the bottom, Community Shield winners against Manchester United to kick start the season on the right foot. A four three victory in a thrilling Shield Final saw us blow the lead early but then take control again to get one over on Manchester United to start the season well. We went on to scoop the EFL Cup beating Arsenal in the Final on penalties as we came back from behind not once, not twice, but three times in one hundred and twenty minutes and then won the shootout two nil on penalties as both keepers showed their worth. We scooped the FA Cup at the end of the season, again on penalties, this time against Manchester United, winning four three after six penalties each, Wall again showing how good he is between the sticks. We took the Premier League by the neck this year, losing just twice all season whilst winning twenty eight of our thirty eight matches. Won the title by nine points over the red side of Manchester again with us setting a new points tally and league wins in a season for the club. However Manchester United got one back on us in the Champions League, knocking us out in the Semi Final for the second year running and seeing us crash out at that stage of the season for a third year running.
Everyone played for us this season, both our goalkeepers switched between the sticks with Wall playing the majority of the matches for us this year and he earned that place. Grabovac is still a key player for us though. Our defence switched partnerships throughout the season with us never really sticking to one pair thats for sure. Bernier, the winger was our top scorer defender this year, as well as assisting twelve goals. Fofana had another solid season, not featuring as much as he has the past few seasons as Wottrich made his first year in the Premier League one to remember. Youngsters Burton and Kabongo played their fair share this year as did Tagoe before he went out on loan to Dortmund. Top seasons for strikers Guest and Akoli, netting sixty five between them.

London City FC - Pre Season Round Up 2038
Through another summer and its been another one of change for us here at London City FC. We've continued our plans to ignite more English faces into the squad even with it being youngsters to build for the future. I've tried not to upset the squad too much as you'll see shortly. We've got news on our club ranking and financial ranking again as always whilst also looking at the squad and friendlies, finishing with another Community Shield to play.
A third straight Champions League Semi Final appearance sees us once again rise up the European Club rankings moving up ten places form twenty first in Europe to eleventh as we continue our rise. One day hopefully hitting the top spot. Unfortunately we took a slight step backwards in the financial rankings as we went from sixth in the world to eighth however we've not spent much this summer so hopefully setting us up in good shape to move forward this year.
How about that, only spent twenty five and a half million pounds this summer as we brought in six new faces, all youngsters and one of those were completely free with another just seeing us pay compensation. And as you can see on the right, four out of six of the new faces have already gone back out on loan as I feel its the best place for them at this stage of the season and their careers. Only one permanent deal this summer, Mojovic leaves us to join Liverpool for an initial seventeen and a half million pounds which can rise to twenty seven million pounds.
Here are all the new faces and as I already stated, four of the six are already out on loan with two of them still with the squad. Also you may notice four of the six are English youngsters, thats the aim now, improve the England national team by bringing in youth players and over the seasons making them big first team players. All of them have bright futures, the foreign two could just be used for profit in a couple seasons.
This is the squad we have at our disposal and thats with the youngsters from the under twenty threes and under eighteens that are currently out on loan so you can see the squad depth we are gathering and what potential we have coming through the ranks over the next few years. Four strong keepers in the squad in a couple years so we will need to sale one or two thats for sure. There isn't too much coming through in defence however do have a strong back line I feel. Midfield and upfront sees plenty of future talent coming through the squad.
A strong enough summer on the pitch saw us lose just one match as we faced Austria Wien among the nine friendly matches. Just one draw as well, strangely against MK Dons however its all for match experience and to get us ready for the season ahead.
Dammit! Our first ever Community Shield defeat after scooping three of the last four Community Shield trophies and having won all three we've featured in, Manchester United get one over on us here. Former red devils player Kabongo gave us the lead after two minutes. Their new striker, Rada leveled things in the twenty third minute before Kotlyarov netted a spot kick in the thirty fifth minute. We went straight back up the other end and scored through youngster Tagoe who comes back from his loan deal with Dortmund last year. However it was to be commiserations for us this year and Kotlyarov netted a second in the second half to sink us.

London City FC - August 2038
Following a busy summer, sorting loan deals out at least, we go into the Premier League campaign on the back of losing the Community Shield, the first time we've tasted defeat in four encounters of the competition. However we are now a club that mainly target Premier League and Champions League trophy with the latter still yet to reach our trophy cabinet following three Semi Final appearances. Three Premier League games to start the new season...
Goals are flying in at the start of the campaign thats for sure, netting twelve in just three games, however we've also conceded four already this year as well. We started the season away at Reading, winning seven three in a ten goal game. Akoli netted a brace as he seeked back to back Premier League goldenboots, Natterman, also struck before the break. Second half there was a brace for Arregui with Guest and Wottrich all on target too. Our only home game of the month saw us welcome Middlesbrough and beat them three one after falling behind. Wottich struck the equaliser before Frik hit a brace from centre back. Ending the month with a two nil win at Wolves. Arregui and Hoppe netting second half goals as we kept a clean sheet too.
Top of the league with three wins from three. However its been a strong start for four other sides as well this season as Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham and Southampton all also bag three out of three wins so far this season. At the other end of the scale its three defeats from three for Barnsley and Huddersfield, the former of the two having a negative ten goal difference as well.
A tough Champions League group stage draw admittedly, however I'm once again expecting us to advance from this. We'll go head to head with French Ligue 1 side OM as well as German Bundeslia side Drotmund and finally Greek Superleague PAOK.

London City FC - September 2038
Not only an unbeaten start to the league season, but a winning one as well as we took three wins from three after the opening month of the league season. However four other teams did that as well, leaving us work to do early on if we want to pull away from the pack. Into September and despite an international break, we still faced six matches with three in the Premier League, two in the Champions League and kicking off our defence in the EFL Cup once again.
Unbeaten still this season after two complete months and its looking like we can beat anyone in Europe as we ease past Dortmund and OM without any trouble what so ever. A home against Chelsea we trailed the majority of the game but stole a late point when Akoli netted from the spot. He was the man again as we took a trip to Germany to face Dortmund as he hit a hatrick in a six two victory, Guest also on target whilst Dunn grabbed a brace. Arsenal also held us to a single point like Chelsea, we required a late goal from Akoli. We kick off our EFL defence with a comfortable two nil win against Leicester in the Third Round. Bernier and Tagoe netting at opposite ends of the game. It was a dominant win at home against Cardiff seeing us win five nil, Andrews, Frik, Akoli and a brace from Landzaat securing the big win. We even made it three clean sheets on the bounce to end the month as we welcomed French side OM and beat them four nil, Dunn netting the opener before Akoli struck a hatrick and making it nine goals in just six mathes throughout the month.
Southampton are the early run away league leaders with six wins from six matches this morning and already sitting two points clear of second place Chelsea who have also played a game more than them. We occupy third, like Southampton only played three this season and we win our seventh game we'll move second place. Reading are the only team without a league win at this stage of the season whilst us and Southampton are the only teams who haven't tasted defeat.

London City FC - October 2038
Moving into October aiming to set up another unbeaten run if we can. I highly doubt we'll hit the likes of fifty two games in a row again but it'll be nice to try and stretch it as long as we can. Six more matches was waiting for us in October with us facing League, Champions League and of course EFL Cup action, trying to progress in all three.
Another unbeaten month, very pleased with what we've managed this month as we win five and draw the final game, again Watford being the side to trip us up. We kicked off with a big five nil win over Huddersfield, Landzaat struck one whilst Akoli hit four, two from the spot in a space of three minutes as well We welcomed Everton recording another win, four two this time as we raced into a three nil lead with Guest, Frik and Bernier netting in fourteen minutes, A late own goal got us over the line. PAOK welcomed us and we beat them two one with second half goals from Akoli and Bertootti. Two clean sheets followed, both at home with a two nil win over Manchester United, Akoi and Tagoe netting before beating Burnley two nil in the EFL Cup Fourth Round, another brace for Akoli. Ending the month with a one all draw against Watford, Akoli saving us late on.
Second in the league after ten games, Chelsea lead by a point, Southampton have really fallen away after their ever so strong start to the season. We're the only side unbeaten so far this season however haven't made the most of it having drawn three of our ten matches already this season.
Top of the Champions League with three wins from three matches and a plus nine goal difference already. OM sit second, three points behind us whilst PAOK are in third. Dortmund, surprisingly, bottom the group without a single point on the board and facing elimination if they don't sort themselves out soon.
Next Update: London City FC - November 2038

London City FC - November 2038
The penultimate month of another calendar year is here and we faced another six matches in November, looking to extend our current unbeaten run which stretched from early August after the Community Shield Final defeat against Manchester United. We once again face three different competitions as we could seal our spot in the next round of the Champions League with a win in one of our two matches. We'd also make the EFL Cup Semi Finals if we can scrape past Manchester United.
The perfect month, what a month November was, six wins from six, only one clean sheet but we've progressed in two cup competitions once again. A home win against PAOK secured our spot in the First Knockout Round int he Champions League, Akoli hitting a brace and a late Bernier goal securing the three one win. We then welcomed West Ham and won three two. Arregui netting the opener and yes, Akoli with another brace, this man loves goals. A trip to Fulham saw us win two one, coming back from behind with Bertolotti and Fofana netting in the second half. A big home win against German strugglers Dortmund saw us come away with a five one win. Single goals for Frik, Arregui and Dunn whilst Akoli netted not one, but two of course. Staying at home we welcomed Leicester and beat them two nil picking up our only clean sheet this month, Wottrich scoring and assisting Dunns late goal.
Now in charge of the league title race and we've played a game less than Chelsea who sit second by just a point currently. It then looks very good behind us, with a further seven point gap to Everton in third place. Arsenal are then level on points with them. At the other end its all very close with just three points separating Barnsley in twentieth and Swansea up in fourteenth.
Five games in the Champions League this season, five wins. A plus fourteen goal difference and we're really looking in good shape in Europe this year when you consider we've faced two of the bigger teams in France and Germany this year in OM who sit second and won't jump us and Dortmund who is bottom, without a single point in the group stage this year around.

London City FC - December 2038
And so the final month of 2038 calendar year was upon us and it was time to try and end the calendar year on a high. We had eight more games to go this year to see if we could continue the season on a high. Currently unbeaten in twenty one matches this season following one defeat against United in the Community Shield. We had Champions League and Premier League action this month. Could we continue to grow this season.
Another new milestone hit. Now one thousand two hundred games in charge of management. Not all at London City however with fifty matches with the England national squad earlier in the career.
Make that twenty nine matches unbeaten now, what a superb month, brilliant once again with another five wins and three draws. We drew with Spurs two all at the start of the month before traveling to France and taking on OM, winning two nil to seal the perfect group stage with Akoli and Dunn netting inside half an hour. A second clean sheet on the bounce came at home against Barnsley three nil. Youngster Willis netted twice after Arregui opened the scoring. Anoher two all draw saw us come from two down to draw against Swansea, Andrews and Willis netting. Three home games followed and we performed well winning all three. Beating Liverpool four one, A brace for Akoli along with Dunn and Arregui netting. We then beat Reading two one, coming from behind at half time with bird and Arregui netting to mark my 1200th game in charge. Willis then struck a brace against former side Manchester City to see us win two one. Finally ending the calendar year with a one all draw against Southampton Nieto had given us the lead.
Once again going head to head with Manchester United for the league title it'd seem. Two points clear of them with a game in hand which could see us move five points clear as we face Middlesbrough. Chelsea are also a further point behind, drawing six games already this season is beginning to cost us, we need to turn those into wins for sure. Liverpool are just three points outside the drop zone.
Surprisingly easy and straight forward for us in the Champions League group stage this year, for the first time we won six out of six at this stage. I thought it'd be tougher when the draw was made. OM easily through in second place as well. Dortmund beat PAOK in the final group game to give them some points to finish but they will still crash out seeing PAOK in the Europa League knockouts.
A superb draw for us will see us face St Etienne. I side we haven't lost to and I think we will ease past these as we did against OM this season already. All four Premier League teams are through to the knockout rounds as well.

London City FC - January 2039
2039! What a year to be alive, probably anyway. London City FC are searching for their third Premier League title on the bounce as well as looking to defend their EFL and FA Cup crowns which they've held for a few seasons on the bounce now. However with a double header against Arsenal in the EFL Cup this wouldn't be easy to make the Final let alone win it again. We would also kick off our defence of the FA Cup this month with the Third and potentially Fourth round tie, with just one real transfer story to report too.
Meet Sam Wood, the guy I hope will become our new leading goal scorer for seasons to come. Just twenty three years old and already been capped by England twelve times. Hes got a big future ahead of him and looks very good stats wise already. He cost us an initial seven and a half million from Southampton which I couldn't believe, he was unhappy and wanted to leave, transfer listed and we got a bargain. The fee could rise another ten million over appearances etc but I'm not complaining here.
A busy start to another new calendar year saw us face eight matches across three different competitions with two FA Cup Rounds, two EFL Cup matches as well as four Premier League matches, and unfortunately we've crashed out the EFL Cup, not defending our title for a fourth year running. But first we start with a trip to Middlesbrough where we came back from behind late on again with Arregui and Akoli securing a late win. We welcomed Wolves and sorted ourselves out winning three nil, all second half goals. The FA Cup Third round draw was good to us, traveling to Sheffield Wednesday and winning five two as Dunn, Akoli and Mazurek netted and a brace for Bird. Arsenal beat us at the Emirates in the EFL Cup Semi Final First Leg, they won two one, Bird netting the consolation for us leaving a big second leg. This upset our form, drawing our next three, away at Chelsea in the league two all, at home to Arsenal then twice, one all in the league with Arregui saving us with a late spot kick before we drew nil nil three days later with them to see us crash out the EFL Cup Semi Finals. We end the month with another FA Cup win, this time in the fourth round, Hoppe gave us the lead against Brentford after just eight minutes. But we required a ninety first minute winner from Frik to see us through.
Manchester United take advantage of our busy month and slip ups, seeing them move top but only on goal difference. Their goal difference is far superior than ours at this stage however we do have a game in hand which can see us move to the top of the table again and three points clear. Liverpool have recovered to move eleven clear of the drop zone at the other end.
Next Update: London City FC - February 2039

London City FC - February 2039
We keep passing the months on, day by day and keep pressing towards the end of another season as we try and get our first ever Champions League title as well as try and hold on to our Premier League crown. We have already failed to defend our Community Shield crown as well as the EFL Cup as Arsenal beat us last month by a single goal over two legs. We still sit in three competitions this year and can defend both our Premier League and FA Cup crowns for another year. But having yet to win the Champions League title, my main aim was on that this year.
One more transfer to confirm with the Asian transfer window still open, Chinese giant Guangzhou came in for French full back Jordan Bernier and I was pleased to see him go. Hes been a good servant for us over the years since joining from Liverpool for just over six million pounds. He hands to China in a two and a half million pound deal.
A month that started so promisingly quickly turned sour, seeing us win our opening three and then fail to win either of our last two matches. A trip to Wales to take on Cardiff saw a big win as we rotated the side and saw Burton net twice in ten minutes. Wottrich also struck before the break whilst Andrews hit a second half goal. Back at home we welcomed Huddersfield and won three goals to nil, all three coming in the first half as Landzaat struck a break and another youngster in Willis netting. Our final home game of the month saw us host Everton in the FA Cup Fifth Round. Beating them with former Evertonian Andrews putting us ahead, Landzaat netting the winner eleven minutes from time. A trip to France saw us lost the First Leg of the Champions League First Knockout Round, St Etienne claiming a one nil win, unfortunately no away goal but we can come back at home. The month ended with a two all draw against Everton away from home in the league, Landzaat hitting both ours in three minutes, either side of the break.
Top of the table once again and clear of Manchester United by four points now. We have eleven matches left to play and now need to be at our best to defend our third league title in a row. Our goal difference is only four worse than Manchester United so we're in with a shout if it ever came down to that, but I'm hoping it wont. Chelsea are in fourth and just ten points separate the top four this year around, making it a closer title battle than its been for some years.
