It seems you won't be winning the league this season @Dan which'll be a shame but I'm still optimistic you can sneak over the line.

Unfortunately I can't see it @Shedender although United have struggled across the line the last two seasons.

And so we move into the final month of action with the league title seemingly out of reach with Manchester United leading the way with only a couple matches to go. We'd have to be perfect to catch them now and would still need favors from other teams against the Red Devils if we were to over take them. We also have the second leg of the Champions League Semi Final where we need to come back from a goal behind as well as the FA Cup Final against Southampton this month as we searched for our fifth FA Cup on the bounce,

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/FgiFegMMH7Jur7cyT00AnGeOUt5wmX8t436n1CzS.png

An all green month for us with the games you can see at least. So still we hoped the title would be on. We welcomed Manchester United in the Champions League Semi Final Second Leg and beat them three one, seeing us progress to the Final for the second year running. Three one the score on the night with Wood, Dunn and Espino all on target. Back to Premier League action we finished it with three home games, welcoming West Ham we comfortably beat them four one, Sen, Wottrich, Godwin all netting in half an hour, a second half goal for Akoli sealed the deal. Two one nils finished the season, the first saw this milestone...

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/fJrbXDXm7HWo0P1SGuzRjhxs1GG9yb8gflJ4YiEp.png

Thats correct, I've now hit one thousand three hundred matches in charge at London City and a further fifty more in charge of the England national team a few seasons ago. But we marked this game with a one nil win as Wottrich netted a first half goal. Finishing the season against third place Arsenal with our star striker Wood netting. Enough for the league title though..

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/xpcKv0TRATTMOymMNsAcRAMTmPF6NQzF5WLR8ObE.png

Denied our fourth league title on the bounce as Manchester United claim it with eighty nine points, a superb league season for them losing just five games, as did we in second place however somewhat four points behind them come the end. Manchester City jumped Arsenal on the final day of the season with them finishing nine and ten points behind us respectively. Chelsea, West Ham and Southampton all head into the Europa League next season.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/z4yFvNwUhqGMMQ22mMsZT34t4KvyyMmD6vjMw3Ho.png

London City celebrate incredible quintuple! Thea headline says it all, we've gone and scooped a fifth trophy this year out of a possible seven, with one still to play as we are crowned champions of the FA Cup for a fifth year running! It was a scrappy game which saw both sides pick up seven yellow cards and both sides finish with ten men. A goalless first half came to lift in the second forty five, almost immediately as Wood fired us ahead three minutes after the break. Southampton pulled back level nine minutes later and in an even game, it was forced to Extra Time. The Saints were reduced to ten men just before half time in extra time but we didn't make the most of it. Three minutes from penalties we were reduced to ten men as Godwin picked up his second yellow in five minutes. But eventually, very late, the winner came. Wottrich striking in the only minute of injury time to secure the FA Cup!

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/qmDBnbaumixqhsMqcmpicqdWXmYs1Od8Mw7y7vLI.png

The Champions League Final will see us face off against French side OM. This will mean we've faced three French sides this tournament in PSG, St Etienne and OM. The Final will again come in a single post next.

London City FC - Champions League Final 2040

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/oFeNEjb6C6kYaABAgFXU13ACkXTudtB9389kQu7k.pnghttp://i989.photobucket.com/albums/af19/timtim11/1301394_zpsf8dfc943.pnghttps://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/9zanBrtnhU1dYNeEUSqgDRvYI3BgR7RWSvl6WB1T.png

This time last year we were gearing up for our first ever Champions League Final after missing out on them the previous three years in the Semi Final against a fellow English club. We have beaten Manchester United in the Semi Finals the last two years now and so find ourselves seeking back to back Champions League success. It wouldn't be easy as we faced our third French side of the tournament this year, OM. Time to run down the stats before the match.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/rdAzDvGDM7WrnBB7TYFIDkKWja5AUGgMVaiXmrrS.png

A sensational Champions League campaign from OM sees them reach the Final having only picked up one defeat on their journey this season. They began with a group stage consisting of Everton, Steaua and Porto, remaining unbeaten picking up fourteen points and topping the group. This saw them draw to Everton twice and do the double over the other two teams. They faced Benfica in the First Knockout Round, coming back from two down in the first leg to win three nil at home. Knocking out Villarreal in the Quarter Finals two nil before beating Everton on penalties in the Semi Final following two goalless draws.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/0VFooZtfX181GnpYVgfxydWDHwNyyIleV1JFR9Mb.png

Our run to the Final wasn't quite as smooth as OM' was but we're here nonetheless. Our group stage saw us face OM league rivals PSG, along with Valencia and Ludogorets. We went on to pick up fifteen points from our group, one point better than our Finalist however did taste defeat to Valencia. We come from behind on aggregate to beat Saint Etienne in the Second Leg of the First Knockout Round. Beat Real Madrid comfortably at home before suffering defeat which still saw us advance away. Same story against Manchester United in the Final, we lost four three away but three one at home again seeing us progress.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/q2DW6nSNEJpXGpBhPgikJVuQ7L8b9LCt1Xl3Ia9S.png

We've faced OM three times, two of those competitively with one being a friendly. And it was the friendly that we lost, three one which I believe may of been either in the Championship or one of our first seasons in the Premier League. The two competitive games were last season in the Champions League group stages, beating them four nil at home and two nil on the round.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/MUMtEXvuLjcyg7Y3k4iERrMuO3jv4kUsoLsRYezM.png

OM finished third in Ligue 1 this season as we finished second in the Barclays Premier League but its the French side who go into the Final as the bookmakers favorites to come away with the trophy. Both sides have a handful of players missing, mainly through registration rules though so shouldn't be a problem.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/s6U7ZIl1yp3BYt914v2dnwSdTtzsmsd35MTXQaBV.png

Half Time and its all but game over it'd seem. We've dominate the ball and whilst not having loads of shots, we've made the most of the ones we've taken seeing as take seven, hit the target with five and lead four nil at the interval. Sam Wood finishing his season with two first half goals, Wottrich and Dunn also both netting first half goals and surely it'll only take a miracle to bring OM back into this tie.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/JCqQmsPSUgKh08FD2cla4bX9lXsmW8BGugN5vycF.png

Victorious London City celebrate Unbelievable sextuple! Thats the headline we're going to see on the papers tomorrow morning as we scoop our sixth trophy of the season to round it off in fine style once again. OM tried to get back in the game, pulled one back but we were just too good on the night, holding on for a superb four one victory. The only trophy we missed out on this year was the Premier League, so close to that perfect haul.

London City FC - End Of Season Review 2040

Another season comes to an end and that'd be the twenty fourth o this career now. We have had a couple of sensational seasons here at London City FC the past two seasons with the latest seeing us scoop six trophies, more on that shortly. The usual end of season review with the competitions and player stats for the year.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/xM6lF54zhCukFdmmDMG9DpZi7P7te06KCJ7Rb1Pr.png

Sam Wood was our main man once again, scoring fifty six goals and making the highest average rating of seven point two eight over the year as well. Wottrich picked up the most assist with eighteen this year whilst Dunn completed the most passes hitting ninety percent. Wood also scooped fourteen player of the match awards whilst Sen was our most booked player picking up twenty three yellows, Godwin was our most dismissed, picking up two reds. Competitions and what a season for us, its missing the club world championship at the bottom which we scooped. We beat Manchester United in the Community Shield at the start of the season shortly followed by beating Leverkusen in the European Super Cup. Going on to beat Everton in the EFL Cup and then Southampton in the FA Cup Final, losing the league title to Manchester United this year around. Our finances are superb, over two hundred million pounds in the bank balance whilst having over one hundred and fifty million to spend on transfers. Again I'll be looking to offload foreigners and bring in more English players to the capital city squad.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/WZIzkTACs81WkOBeGztj8mPYfV5witIiKfn3NuR5.jpg

All four goalkeepers made appearances this season as some played in the cup games where I thought we could play lesser players. Hoppe was our free scoring defender this year, netting eight times whilst making fifty one starts. Wottrich had a fine season in attacking midfield with fifteen goals and eight assists in his fifty nine starts. Andrews also played well over the year netting twenty two goals. But of course Sam Wood was the standout stats man, making sixty two starts, three sub appearances and scoring fifty six goals, setting up another seventeen as well.

London City FC - Pre Season Review 2040

Pre season number twenty five has come to an end and boy has it been another busy one with money going all over the place. We were once again looking for English players to come in whilst shipping off the remaining of our non English players, trying to build the capital city squad into a world beating side containing all Englishmen. All the pre season news follows along with fixtures of pre season.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/ftfxnfCTk7MuWvHAad2UI5N4TkWMPuoXCc7jiKCo.png

All the rankings come the end of the year, we remain second in the European Club rankings, sitting behind fellow English club Manchester United as Real Madrid slip to third place. Elsewhere we have hit the top spot in the world reputation list, seeing us classed as the most reputational club in the world. Finally we are moving up again in the financial rankings, sitting fifth from sixth last year. Arsenal maintain their grip on the top spot.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/RIG6E8MkwIoEDcME641J8EFxv4WEWOHnDnwbF9UO.png

In other personal news, I've been re appointed as England national team manager. I'm not sure how long this will last, they're currently sat second in the World rankings so much better than where I took over them before. A big wage on my shoulders and with my club turning all English it could be another opportunity of bringing in more English talent.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/hsK3Xsk5Fss00CuHDA2YtYQb2qsm8iw57GGiIfUg.png

Seventy nine million pounds spent, one hundred and sixty eight million pounds received, another big summer with the money, another profit coming in to the club. I've sorted the players sold by fee received again as its the easiest way to see the money we received. Oscar Wottrich joins fellow rivals Tottenham in a fifty million pound deal whilst fellow Premier League side Arsenal took Hoppe off our hands for twenty seven and a half million pounds. Espino heads to Reading for up to thirty two million pounds whilst defender Oliveira joins Leicester for twenty two and a half million. There was twenty million plus Firth for Grabovac who joins Chelsea, Mazurek joins Fulham for fifteen million pounds, Landzaat joins Brentford for up to twelve million. Two smaller deals saw Houssos Burnley for just over two million and Chadwick joins Villa for four hundred thousand pounds.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/fQI9LsSpXh1t9F0i2tJJydC48Ykll3BrLW9ODgmy.png

As I said previously, four players join the club, all English as well with Julian Firth joining from Chelsea in a part exchange deal, Edwards joins from Liverpool for twenty five million rising to thirty. Raul Graham joins from Premier League leaders Manchester United costing us up to thirty eight and a half million pounds in ad ons whilst Watford sold us Ferguson for up to thirty three million pounds.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/NT9gMeIg6bVjiiYLTSbWne5arWai2j1qVSfbfMsh.png

Here's our nearly all English side now, there are still a couple of non Englishman we're trying to ship out and should any late deals be done in August then I will update on them. Four players are of non English whilst we have plenty of upcoming talent in the squad, hopefully with plenty of game time they'l produce some standout football.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/dFtLmhLiChpAYWkgvd1TzEnchsglhPlXCDALztd0.png

Sam Wood is our standout man over the last two seasons and I'm sure he will be once again. With him still young and English I'm expecting plenty more from the lad.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/m2ToZqeXSWyXyuQ4pnRoCZiD43zVJbLGg8wfYBeL.png

Solid enough summer on the pitch. Lets move into those competitive games.

With pre season over we move into the season with two chances of a trophy right at the start of the month with the Community Shield and the European Super Cup immediately. We also have two Premier league games in August to see how we cope with the large outgoing of foreign players once again.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/HQMgo1f6uVyBVRVaFiFcfWPx6nOKSh4CFxzFJszQ.png

Another two players see the door come the end of the window with Fatih Sen moving to fellow Premier League club Liverpool in a £14.25 million deal with it potentially rising to £20.5million. French striker Akoli meanwhile moves to Spain and more specifically Real San Sebastian on loan with a view at a permanent deal.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/3e7UpuvxQSMW41tDhQXzT8Uv9mbiG5WeRNiIZ4BV.png

Well it was a big August for us with two early trophies up for grabs and we needed to try and make our mark on the Finals as we faced two fellow English sides. As you can see we began the league season well, more on that shortly though.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/zZh6t95cGILg9k1loSSGAcOUNmywO6I4fSe1ArvX.png

We came up short against Manchester United in another Community Shield head to head with the Red Devils and it could of been our day but we were misfortunate here. Akoli missed a penalty after just two minutes and then we went on the back foot when Holmes fired United ahead. They led one nil at the break. Second half it looked like we came out on fire as Sen nodded home a corner however just two minutes later England striker Rigby fired United back ahead. We came back again to level the game up when Graham grabbed a debut goal eighteen minutes from time. But it'd be heartbreak for us as Kotlyarov struck for Manchester United just four minutes from time to send them to the Community Shield title.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/FTxSmI9iU72SozoU2PTs5gdBTU2y9IoqhnfKOeHB.png

Thankfully it was a better outcome against Arsenal in the European Superb Cup, a game we absolutely dominated with shots, hitting thirty in the end with seventeen of those on target but it still required Extra Time to grab the win. It could of been done in ninety minutes however Akoli missed his second penalty in just three days in the sixty ninth minute. We kept pushing as Extra Time started, Sen converted a spot kick for us in the ninety fourth minute before two more goals came in the next seven minutes with Wood grabbing a brace to guide us to a second success European Super Cup title.

Moving in to league form we traveled to Stoke to start the season off on the right foot with a one nil win over Sam Wood with the goal in the seventieth minute. And we even went on to make it three clean sheets and wins on the bounce as we welcomed Reading in the second and final Premier League game of the month as we beat Reading two nil with goals from Akoli who finally got his spot kick right and Davies netting in the second half.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/YL8Y1q5fGIoDAiCWfGVZH4Uw8zjUx5yJVhXK2RnR.png

Obviously too early to call anything at this stage but two games played and two wins on the board is a strong start for us. But that still leaves us fifth as four other teams also get off to a 100% start with Manchester United topping the lot, Middlesbrough, West Ham and Watford and the rest of them. Five teams without a point after two games with Spurs the surprising side of them.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/w5fMcY9s4YSzQEFKw47rUfA7bTI0ouW8PMIF0iCX.png

We will look to lift a third Champions League title in a row with it beginning in this group. We were first seeds from the draw and will face Spanish giants Barcelona along with Portuguese Premier League side Sporting and finally Romanian First League side FC Steaua. We're definitely hoping to get through the group although Barcelona will be tough opponents.

With the kits, I noticed they change colour between seasons (they're cracking btw), did you make editor changes prior to starting (like making the year of the kits 2018, 2019, 2020 etc.) or is the colour change purely on the SS'?

A pretty strong start to the season saw us scoop one of the two trophies available to us early on in the season as we beat Arsenal in the European Super Cup but were denied by Manchester United in the Community Shield. We then went on to win both our league games to see us sitting well out the blocks early on. This month is busier as expected, despite an international break we still played matches in the league, EFL Cup and Champions League this month which featured a trip to Barcelona.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/HVyKpoJ50ZCHX86Gxr5Q1A7PC5cWNGMdi7Jt9xD0.png

An unbeaten month for us and that was with tricky ties against Arsenal, Bacelona and Manchester United as we picked up some very promising results for a side nearly full of Englishman. It started with a trip across London to Arsenal who we beat two one, young defender Robert Da Costa striking both our goals with the second just two minutes from time. We went home to welcome Middlesbrough and smashed them five two. A thumping performance from our boys saw defender Firth strike his first two club goals since joining from Chelsea this summer, Platt, Bird and Wood also contributing a goal each. A trip to Spain to take on Barcelona ended goalless, a point for each side. We then traveled to Sheffield Wednesday who we beat three two, Wood hitting a brace with Ferguson also on target. I played a rotated, weaker side in our trip to League One Leyton Orient and won two nil, young English striker Tim Willis making the most of a rare start with a brace. We ended the month with a repeat of the Community Shield Final, a head to head with Manchester United with us welcoming them and winning five two. Two Englishman with five goals between them as Ferguson hit a brace and Wood struck a hatrick in fine style.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/ZIaBferFXvuTkmVEZMQuyTgm6bHSaWAL15BC8sx4.png

Only side unbeaten this season, only side not to drop points this season, despite all the changes we made again in the summer and seeing us in the bottom half of salary spending in the league we're coping alright to say the least. Six wins fro six and a plus ten goal difference. Seeing us three points clear of Manchester United, Manchester City and West Ham, all only to drop three points to date. Spurs had a better month, picking up seven points from a possible twelve. Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal struggling in mid table.

We're into October and we're moving well early on in the season. Once again just trying to press on and win as much as we can this year. Following an unbeaten September, we move into October with another six matches to play but moving across several competitions. Two Champions League games, one in the EFL Cup and three Premier League matches await us.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/AcYBVr6SEJyyckunaRUphaDwD0Lqbx0EBMXxTyHU.png

Well, six matches, unbeaten in all six and picking up six wins, perfect run for us.We welcomed FC Steaua in the Champions League with a slightly weaker side out which saw youngster Willis hit a brace. A trip to Southampton saw us narrowly win one nil thanks to Godwin. As we welcomed Chelsea we got off the blocks rapidly, Dunn and Wood netting after five minutes before we conceded in the second half. Back to Champions League action we welcomed Portugal side Sporting and won one nil, Dunn netting a spot kick just before half time. A trip to Everton saw us leave it late to come back. We trailed one nil at the break but came back through Godwin before going two one down. Dunn and Willis netted in the final ten minutes to see us brilliantly come back. Finishing the month in the EFL Cup Fourth Round against Stoke, drawing two all on the night before winning on penalties.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/A7j4kbE9OpaSYHy0BYM1B2vzsXwUqTALTP06TlRQ.png

Nine played in the league this season, nine won and we're sitting top of the pile and in control early on. Still obviously a lot of football to go, twenty nine league matches as well as a large handful of cup games over several different competitions. Manchester United are once again our closest challengers, currently sitting three points behind us along with Manchester City in third.

Unbeaten in the Premier League and Champions League to date as we try and defend our titles for another year.

Another month passes by and November sees us win three of our five games, drawing the other two whilst I also faced a little bit of action with the England national side through the month. It began at home against Watford, beating them four one as Sam Wood netted a hatrick. Young Tim Willis was on the scoresheet in a one all draw against Sporting before we drew nil nil away at Leicester three days after being in Portugal. We ended the month much better with two home games, beating West Ham three two with First netting twice and Andrews also on target in the first half. Whilst we beat Barcelona four one in the Champions League to end the month, Wood hitting a nine minute hatrick, his second of the month with Ferguson also on target.

Not really too much to say about the league at this early stage of the season, Twelve games into the season and we're only a point clear of second place Manchester United and three clear of Manchester City in third place. We're the only side unbeaten in the league at this stage but I don't expect that to last too much longer.

We've confirmed our spot in the next round due to Barcelona and Sporting playing each other at the end of the group stage seeing one of the two head into the knockout rounds. We will top the group should we avoid defeat against FC Steaua. They are pointless at the bottom of the group at the moment,

Decided to get through another month on this save as I switch between my two bigger careers now. This one will always have a soft spot on me due to the longevity and transformation I've achieved with London City now. We're Premier League and Champions League double winners. Scooped six trophies in one season last year but I still feel we're yet to finish the task I set out. But we shall see if we can get to the end of another season.

We round off the 2040 calendar year in pleasing form despite a small hiccup with players perhaps in the Christmas spirit a little bit too early. But lets go back to the start of the month, a trip to Tottenham and a superb display with us claiming a five one win, Sam Wood our main man as he hit a hatrick. Da Costa netted eleven minutes into the second half with Willis striking in injury time. Another trip, this time out of England as we faced FC Steaua but settled for a nil nil draw in the Champions League. We managed to defend our crown in the Club World Championship. A scare in the Semi Finals as it took penalties to see off Monterrey after a two all draw. The Final was more straight forward, we dominated the game and won two nil, Bird hitting a brace. Our EFL Cup run continues as we went on to beat Cardiff two one, Wood fired us ahead before the host leveled. We won it nineteen minutes from time when Davies leveled for us. Two defeats followed, we lost out against Barnsley away from home, two nil before losing one nil at home against Liverpool. The year ended on a better note with us beating Fulham three two. We were three up at half time with goals from Wood, Andrews and Dunn. Luckily we didn't bottle it completely, but this could of been more comfortable than we made it.

League holders Manchester United continue to lead the way after nineteen league games however if we win all three of our games in hand we can jump them by a single point. Time will tell. They currently sit two points clear of their near and dear rivals Manchester City who are a further six points ahead of us. We then open up a four point gap over the Merseyside brothers Liverpool and Everton. We're going to face conjested fixture lists this second half of the season so will need to be at our best from now if we want to regain the league title from the Red Devils.

Our spot was already confirmed before this game in the next round but here is the final group stage. An unbeaten stint in the Champions League to date for us but not the prettiest run. We won three and drew three of our six group stage games and this was enough to see off Barcelona by a point. Sporting head for Europa League finishing third place with eight points whilst FC Steaua finish bottom with a single point, which they got from us. We'll face Germany side Leverkusen in the First Knockout Round as we seek a third straight Champions League trophy.

Would anyone like to see me finish season 25 before FM18 is released? Feel I left the save a little short after all the hard work that originally went in throughout the early years of the save...

It's up to you @Dan tbh. Would you still enjoy the save considering you haven't played it in nearly four months?

London City FC - End of Season 2040/41 - 25 years on

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/oFeNEjb6C6kYaABAgFXU13ACkXTudtB9389kQu7k.pnghttps://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/zFxcoS18jvpKirHKBuemJ5DRU3QrOiGRkkbSp75j.pnghttps://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/b08qHZmBLOhe7OU48pKOD9PK5HWZgPyOjxRqrg91.pnghttps://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/EclI7YJjWk3gE9cBe5p4TAeFZp2mmgDKrBE9TPZL.png

So I went on to complete the twenty fifth season at the helm of London City FC and this will be one big update, covering the remainder of the season from January to the end of May. With all the competitions run down to the end of the season, could we make it a high season to go out on. We were looking to claw back the Premier League title off Manchester United, whilst looking to retain the Champions League for a third straight year. Lets see how everything unfolded over the remainder of this season.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/uWGmF8ZM82tJd2brwYMYWxjaFpBOxo2X4FQf550u.png

No EFL cup success this year, we began strongly in the competition beating Leyton Orient comfortably as expected. Went o to beat Stoke at home but required penalties before knocking out Cardif in the Quarter Finals. Our biggest rivals especially as of late, Manchester United, knocked us out the Semi Finals, beating us two nil and three nil over the two legs.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/3ihqui4C6Rvg9aI4bcJWo2KOQCnQGfZZT4CeoPEf.png

After five FA Cup titles in a row and six in the last seven seasons, unfortunately our run of dominance in the competition comes to a close. We beat Cambridge three two in a nervy away game in the Third Round. We then traveled to Premier League rivals Arsenal, a London derby and unfortunately crashed out after Sam Wood had put us ahead.

We weren't even able to defend our Champions League crown! Gunning for a third title and we blew it! Obviously we've already seen the run down in the group stage which we easily sailed through. The First Knockout Round saw us face Germain side Leverkusen who we drew one all away from home and beat comfortably three nil second leg. The Quarter Finals saw us draw one all at home to Manchester United, but beat them three two away from home, a late Godwin goal helping us across the line. For the third knockout game first leg running, we drew 1-1 in the Semi Final against AS Saint Etienne, but losing one nil at home, after going overload to grab a goal before we conceded and crashed out. All eyes on the Premier League...

Our worse season for a while, not only missing out on regaining a league title from premier League champions Manchester United but we finished down in third in fact! An awful season on our behalf. United were unstoppable, just three defeats all season and we dealt them one of those. City finished second, sixteen points behind their City rivals whilst we were a further three points behind.

Not the way I wanted to end the season and career, but it was very enjoyable run over the last year of FM17! Roll on FM18!

So with FM18 now only a month away and the beta most likely just over two weeks away I thought I'd take the plunge and get some ideas from you guys what you would perhaps like to see me do for FM18 for a career. Over the last couple of years I've gone down a few different routes with varying success and having you guys on board throughout has helped motivation as I've reached seasons I never thought I would, what would you be interested in seeing me do for the new game, a couple ideas below:

- Around the World - attempt to win every league and cup playable on the default database

- Build a nation - take over a club in a small nation (Wales, Gibraltar, San Marino etc) build the league and country up to eventual multiple Champions League winners

- One club save - Take on a club and stay with them throughout the seasons try to win as much as possible

- Create a club save - Like I did last year with London City FC, create a club and take them to be world beaters.

- Journeyman - go where the crow flies, no aims or objectives just enjoy the moving around

- Your ideas....

I'd pick a journeyman, I always enjoy reading those type of saves. Around the World would also be interesting @Dan.
