Just the four games were played in April as we suffered our first league defeat of the season following a humiliating four goal "home" defeat at the hands of Minsk. We did manage to pick up nine points from the other three games, which I'm pleased with.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/Xgx3QEeAgRkKMbUGTlShzwaLydHTBfyf1htqR90L.jpg

We made the journey to Shakhter Soligorsk to start the month and we left with an excellent four nil away success as we broke the deadlock just before half time thanks to Premudrov and the lead was doubled ten minutes into the second half as left winger Santiago struck home. Two goals in the space of ten minutes from Korolyuk and Kostyukevic wrapped up the win.

We then faced Minsk at our temporary BATE home and we suffered a humiliating four nil defeat as a goal from Makas gave the away side the lead just before half time before he added two more in the second half to complete his treble in between a Camara goal.

We then were back on the road as we travelled to SKVICh and edged a five goal thriller with all the goals coming in the second half. The home side broke the deadlock on fifty four minutes but Kostyukevic fired home an equaliser from a free kick just three minutes later but a third goal in six minute saw SKVICh regain the lead through Teslyuk's second goal of the game but Korolyuk slotted home a penalty with four minutes left before Ryzhko won us the game with a header as the game entered stoppage time, Kondrat'ev was dismissed a minute later for the home side.

And the month ended with a single goal home victory over Brest (Blr) as Korolyuk scored the only goal on seventy two minutes in a poor affair.

We are top of the table on goal difference at the end of April as we've a +3 GD over second place BATE Borisov.

There was four league games played this month as we ensured an unbeaten month, including a shock victory over last seasons champions BATE Borisov in our "home" game against them. There was two away games back to back followed by back to back home games this month.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/rHzjuDsRWK5nZcTeFIj45LQsyH1yOvEA6w4UOSic.jpg

We visited Neman Grodno for the first game of the month in what was expected to be a tough encounter and it proved just that as the points were shared and the home side broke the deadlock on twenty nine minutes thanks to Bombel' and they looked like they were getting maximum points until Korolyuk popped up and levelled with five minutes remaining.

We stayed on the road as we made the trip to Naftan and picked up what could turn out to be a crucial three points as pre season signing Fabio popped up with his first ever Torpedo goal with three minutes on the clock to secure us the three points.

Our next game was our first game of the month at our temporary BATE Stadium home against BATE Borisov and we picked up an astonishing victory against last seasons league champions as we bagged a three one success, Ryzhko headed in from a free kick to give us the lead on sixteen minutes before the lead was doubled on twenty nine minutes through Premudrov and we then added a third before half time whenever Ivanov found the net. BATE did pull a goal back late on through Dashkevic but it was too little, too late.

A home game with Belshina ended the month and we ended May with a two nil victory at home. Ivanov scored for the second game running to give us the lead after only eight minutes before left winger and another pre season signing Santiago made it two nil after just twenty eight minutes to seal three points.

Nine games into the new season and we are top of the table, three points clear of second place BATE Borisov and we're adapting well to Highest League football quickly.

We had just the two games in June before we had a league break and it was a poor month as we picked up just a single point from six available and lost our second league game of a remarkable season to date, crashing to defeat at Dinamo Minsk.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/cxXVM6SUhm7mwKz75i2J1G8LYZqZ7beDsQlP6EET.jpg

The first encounter of two was away to struggling Gomel and we struggled to a one all draw as the hosts took the lead on seventy two minutes but we denied them a huge victory as Ivanov equalised with just four minutes on the clock to earn us a share of the spoils.

We then crashed to our second league defeat of the season in our next game away to Dinamo Minsk as the home side came out on top in a five goal thriller and the hosts broke the deadlock on six minutes whenever Afanasiev found the back of the net and the same man struck again on seventeen. This game had the makings of a rout for Torpedo as Lisovyi made it three nil on twenty five minutes but second half goals from Ivanov and substitute Kugan restored some pride.

We remain top of the league despite those two disappointing games but the gap has been cut to just a single point ahead of current champions BATE.

Four games approached us in July as we returned to league action with a home match that we are expected to perhaps win against Shakhter Soligorsk. We managed to pick up three victories from the four games, losing the other one as we some how managed to stay top.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/cqgyl3A7bj7aNzLXKuFnsVURGCaFG7wygMcjKqio.jpg

Our first game of the month was against Shakhter Soligorsk and they managed to beat us and I am still not sure how they did as we dominated throughout and had nine efforts on target but a twentieth minute goal from Tolkanitsa separated the two sides - we were booed off.

With our second defeat on the bounce it was important we bounced back as we made the trip to Dnepr Mogilev and we headed home with three points as a seventieth minute goal from Brazilian winger Santiago secured the victory and an important three points.

I didn't expect much in our next encounter as we faced a daunting trip to Minsk and we secured back to back victories, with the game heading towards a boring and uneventful scoreless draw, Yarotskiy popped up to smash home a winning goal with just two minutes left on the clock in Minsk, an important three points it could be.

July ended with a home game against SKVICh and we ended the month with our third win on the bounce, a two nil win that started with Korolyuk ending a long scoring drought by firing us into the lead on eleven minutes and the same man doubled his tally with a goal four minutes from time.

I'm going to say we've exceeded expectations as we were only predicted to come ninth if I remember correctly. I'm also about to participate in my first ever Belarusian Cup tie in the month that I'm almost ready to post up. Can we win the double? I'm not sure but I will definitely try my very best, just like I am sure the players will.

An almost one hundred per cent happened in August but that was ruined as we failed to pick up maximum points away to Brest but we have then went on to pick up four clean sheets on the bounce in all competitions, including one against last seasons league champions BATE.

http://i.imgur.com/adKzb.jpg

It was the trip to Brest (Blr) that started a five match August period and we could only muster a draw as we fell behind just before the quarter hour mark when Khvaschynsky broke the deadlock and they held on until five minutes from half time as Yarotskiy fired home an equaliser, the home side regained the lead thanks to a second Khvaschynsky but it ended up being a point apiece whenever Kostyukevic levelled on sixty seven minutes.

History was then made as I managed by first ever Belarusian Cup tie as we were drawn out against Zabudova Chist and hit half a dozen away from home and the scoring started in the sixth minute whenever Ivanov scored and then Korolyuk doubled the lead on fourteen minutes, Ivanov was to complete his treble just before half time as he then struck on thirty seven minutes and then five minutes later. On sixty four minutes Santiago made it five goals to nil with a lovely finish before a sixth was scored on seventy nine minutes as Korolyuk got his second.

We returned to league action with a home game against Naftan and second half goals from Ryzhko early in the second half and Korolyuk late on wrapped up the points.

Our next game was also at home as we entertained Neman and picked up a three nil victory that was started in the opening minute thanks to left winger Santiago who beat the visiting keeper, it stayed like that until the lead was doubled on the hour mark as Korolyuk netted his first and his second came twelve minutes later.

The final game of the month was an extremely tricky away clash to last seasons champions BATE Borisov and the Borisov fans and players were stunned as we took an opening minute lead thanks to right winger Premudrov who smashed the ball past the BATE keeper and then ten minutes into the second half Santiago fired home a second. BATE's hopes ended when Sokolovskiy was dismissed for two yellow cards with four minutes remaining.

At the end of the month we are four points clear of last seasons champions with both of us having played nineteen league games each. I think we've exceeded expectations for the season, don't you all agree? But don't worry, I will try and push on for the league and cup double and then I'd be almost done in Belarus.

We signed four players while the transfer window opened. Three players that should help the future of the club should they develop properly and one who is experienced and will be a starter for me, the one who will be a starter for me is a "big" money signing - two players have also been released.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/CBVokXdukQZeK91qGPn1CC6fdRwaXj315gRVku1G.jpg

The player in question who will be a starter is twenty-nine-year-old left back Obrazov who has signed for ninety thousand pounds from fellow Highest League side Naftan. He's already made eight appearances since joining the club and hasn't found the net.

Second player to join was Boiko who is a seventeen-year-old left winger who cost nine thousand quid from Dnepr Mogilev. The youngster is going to be back-up to Santiago and I am not sure whether he'll see much game time this season so I hope it doesn't harm his development.

Another seventeen-year-old has joined and this one is an AMR called Kuzminich who cost forty thousand from Minsk, just like Boiko he has yet to make his debut for the club but has experience as he made twenty-three appearances for his former club Minsk.

Our last signing was Ledenev and he's a third straight seventeen-year-old signing, costing twenty eight thousand for me to purchase him from Dinamo Minsk. Made twenty-one appearances last seasons for the Dinamo Minsk second team, yet to make his debut for me but I do plan him to become first choice as I have a right back leaving in the summer.

I've released both Klebanyuk and Veremko from their contracts as they're rubbish and will never play for me.

September seen our hopes of Belarusian Cup success crumble as we were dumped out on penalties by Dinamo Minsk away from home but it was however a one hundred per cent record in the league with four wins from as many games as our titles hopes stayed alive.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/9pZrtYqGoZ2pBf0Cif1sl1leX3JB4VRqxeZH2ivF.jpg

It was a trip to Belshina that started the month as we departed with maximum points but had to do it the hard way as the home side took a fifty seventh minute lead through Baskakov. With nineteen minutes left we equalised thanks to Koloyuk and with the game headed for a draw, Ivanov popped up to pinch the points.

We then brushed aside Gomel at BATE, a three goals to nil home success was started with Santiago's twenty first minute goal before Ivanov scored for the second game running early in the second half and then Korolyuk sealed the points with a third Torpedo goal with just two minutes left on the clock.

Our next game was another home clash as we entertained Dinamo Minsk and we secured an excellent three one victory as we broke the deadlock just before half time thanks to a stunning Kostyukevic goal but the away side levelled just before the hour mark before Santiago restored the lead four minutes later and Estonian striker Pohlak, in for Korolyuk who is suspended sealed the points on seventy two minutes.

It was Belarusian Cup time as we made the trip to Minsk to face Dinamo for the second game running and this time we were unable to pick up victory as we crashed out of the cup on penalties following a three all draw after extra time. The home side took the lead through Buloychik on five minutes but two goals in as many minutes from Korolyuk turned the game around but Stasevich's goal on eighty one minutes forced extra time. Santiago had given us an undeserved lead but Lisovyi forced penalties three minutes from time. Dinamo Minsk won 5-4 on penalties.

The month ended with victory over Dnepr Mogilev at our BATE home but we had to do it the hard way because Zhukovskiy had given the bottom club the lead on forty one minutes but we soon levelled in first half stoppage time from the penalty spot through Korolyuk before Premudrov turned the game around nine minutes into the second half. The points were sealed whenever Ivanov netted just before the hour mark.

Top of the table with ten league games remaining and we no longer have the distraction of the Belarusian Cup to deal with. It seems to be a race now between BATE, Neman and Dinamo Minsk to see who finishes in the runners-up spot, should we go on and win the league.

I'm just an amazing manager, that's all mate.

It's a pity that I am going to be stuck in Belarus for at least another full season regardless if I win the league or not due to me failing to get Belarusian Cup success.

I've also loaded up Belgium as I'd love next season to be my last. Belgium doesn't come into play until June 2018 iirc.

This was a busy month as we faced six gruelling matchups as we looked to wrap up a fourth league title on the bounce in this career. October started good and ended dreadfully with back to back defeats on the road.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/Q8FKUOXVoV76GPAuNT4Fp65Rd8owwRjje2rO4f5U.jpg

A tough trip to Shakhter Soligorsk started the month and we wrapped up an impressive three one away victory as Serbian central defender Ivanovic opened the scoring on thirty two minutes but the hosts levelled just five minutes later. The game was heading for a draw before Ivanovic leaped up to head home in second goal with three minutes on the club and then Korolyuk sealed the points in stoppage time.

We then returned to the road as we faced relegation threatened SKVICh as we came out on top of a five goal thriller despite falling behind on just eleven minutes with Golovchik scoring we did equalise three minutes later through Yarotskiy. Attacking midfielder Yarotskiy turned the game around with eight first half minutes left before Korolyuk added a third early in the second half but Golovchik's second for the home side made it a tense finish.

Our next game turned out to be an absolute epic encounter as we faced Minsk at BATE and edged a nine goal thriller. An early goal from Chukhlei gave the away side the lead before a thirty sixth minute goal from Camara doubled the lead but that lead was halved a minute later thanks to Premudrov. The away side looked like they had killed the game off early in the second half when Druchyk made it three one but two goals in four minutes from Yarotskiy and Kostyukevic levelled the scores. Santiago and a second Yarotskiy put us 5-3 up before a stunner from Lyakhovskiy made it a nervous last few minutes.

Next up was a home clash with Brest (Blr) and we secured a four two victory as Ivanov, Kostyukevic and Yarotskiy had us in a three nil lead within the space of ten first half minutes before Yarotskiy added a second goal just two minutes into the second half and we looked in control but Brest came back with two goals in twenty minutes through Khvaschynsky and Signevich.

A trip to Neman saw our unbeaten run come to an end as despite missing a controversial penalty earlier in the game, Savitskiy bagged the winner with just two minutes on the clock.

The month ended with a second defeat on the spin away from home as we made the trip to Naftan and fell behind on twenty minutes as Rios beat our young and promising goalkeeper and then our day went from bad to worse whenever Obrazov was shown a straight red card just eight minutes later, I was furious with him and fined him two weeks wages immediately after the game. The home side added a second goal on thirty six minutes thanks to Tchernykh before a sixty ninth minute goal from Lisitsa added a third. Goals from Kuzminich and Ryzhko were just consolations.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/niyYucIrFKla4zg5n6RDD8f4KoGAwcDjdwYluDWx.jpg

Despite those two defeats on the spin we're still eight points clear at the top, somehow with BATE and Neman the only two fighting it out for second place.

The final month of the season saw just four league games remaining. November started in despair three defeats on the spin stretched our winless run to five games and the media starting to question my tactics but the month and season ended in celebration.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/ptlwA488RjWyVtoLKv1HUZRCwgiRxSFQ07h4ERp8.jpg

November started with some positive news as we returned to our Torpedo home after eleven months away, balloons and stuff were set up for a celebration that was soon turned sour as opponents BATE Borisov ruined the party with a three one away win with Kornilenko, Karp and Aliakhnovich on target, Korolyuk got our goal with four first half minutes remaining. Mozolevskiy was sent off for two yellow cards late on for Borisov.

We then were on the road and faced a trip to Gomel as our winless run continued as Kozeka scored the winner with twelve minutes remaining.

The losing streak was stretched to five matches as we suffered a home reversal at the hands of Belshina despite Yarotskiy giving us the perfect start on nine minutes but the visitors levelled proceedings just three minutes later through Urupin and then Kozlov won the game for the away side Belshina just ten minutes into the second half.

Our final game of the season with us just about top of the table as a daunting trip to Dinamo Minsk and we broke the deadlock on twenty two minutes as Korolyuk broke clear and slammed the ball home but the home fans were able to celebrate on thirty seven minutes as Buloychik levelled. Dinamo Minsk were reduced to ten men on seventy three minutes as Simovic was dismissed for two yellows and just four minutes later Korolyuk struck to win the game.

Champions. I think this is my fourth title on the bounce on this career, quite remarkable if true.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/BY7Y5uVAsBfn5YUpXfi5QwZcLXxaDCDEzdPPtLro.jpg

This is the game when the title was won. On the back of FIVE straight league defeats we travelled to Dinamo Minsk and defeated them two one. Before anyone asks, no I didn't listen to the media and change formations because I knew this formation would and has worked before. Great moment.

Our last piece of news this season (to date) is that the ground will be getting more seats put into it. One thousand, seven hundred and forty five seats will be put in that is costing just under a million pounds and they're hoping to have the work done in just six months. They're temporarily closing the west stand so we don't need to move home, again.

This post will have our season expectations, the fixture list and Super Cup draw for the 2018 Belarusian Highest League season ahead as we look to attempt to defend our crown that we won on the final day last season. We also look to secure the Super Cup for the first time under my reign.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/JnOVn3y7Vs41DzfJW61GSBHXD4iFrVebOzfVuJYN.jpg

Following a remarkable season last season in which we won the league against all the odds, the board are once again being ambitious as they're expecting us to challenge for the Highest League title and I've been given two options to choose from.

I had the choice between Title challenge that would have given me a two hundred and seventy five thousand transfer budget or winner and that would see me with a transfer budget of three hundred and fifty thousand. I've decided to stay in the "safety zone" and said that I'd go for a title challenge.

The 2018 fixture list has also been announced for the upcoming season.

Our league season starts with Neman Grodno visiting Torpedo before back to back away clashes at SKVICh and Brest (Blr) before our fourth game is against Dinamo Minsk while our season ends with three tricky games as we're away to Belshina, home to Gomel and we end the season away to BATE Borisov.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/orpKiZ8bQUN0qqQ8XyUq9sJrnbeOizdjl7bWdcUJ.jpg

And the final piece of news was the draw for the Belarusian Super Cup and we'll play Naftan Novoplotsk with the game being played at a neutral venue of Dinamo on Monday, March 12 2018.

They're the most successful side to play in the Super Cup as they've (apparently) won it four times so I will have my work cut out definitely.

It's till a workable budget unlike the £1 one I received when I was at Altach. I have also spent quite a bit on new signings, which you'll soon be able to see whenever I get it posted.

We arranged six pre season matches, five of them were to be played before our Super Cup clash with Naftan and one afterwards. On the transfer front I brought in seven players to attempt to bolster the squad as I lost a key player to a rival club, which I'm raging at.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/IUQcDbVDyYM7z9uH0lKirxvuYw6gnbEnXqlpdye1.jpg

The first player to arrive at Torpedo was Tsinkevich who is a seventeen-year-old goalkeeper who has cost us fourteen thousand pound from fellow Highest League side Belshina. He's going to be back-up for this season and may play in some games.

Our second signing was Bogdevich and he's arrived from First League side Lida on a free transfer as he was out of contract at them, he's a seventeen-year-old striker who may be shipped out on loan to get first team experience as he may not receive it here at the moment.

An experienced central defender Shepelev has joined the club from relegated Dnepr Mogilev for fifty thousand found, at the age of twenty-eight he's a player who has bags of experience.

Former player Borovskiy joins the club following his release from BATE Borisov, despite being a seventeen-year-old Belarusian striker he's already rated at three and a half stars currently and I'm surprised BATE released him but I had no hesitation in snapping him up. I'm confident that if I can expose him to enough first team football then he can become a gigantic star at Torpedo and it's up to me to ensure BATE regret letting him go.

We made a "big" signing ahead of the new season as Shakhter Soligorsk's central midfielder Tolkanitsa arrived at the club for two hundred thousand pound and the twenty-eight-year-old is expected to be one of my first choice midfielders ahead of the new season all being well.

Our penultimate signing was a twenty-three-year-old right back from Dinamo Minsk, Zalrskiy cost us twenty thousand pounds for his services.

And our last signing ahead of our possible title defence was Yuraga, a left back who we paid eighteen thousand for from Shakhter Soligorsk. With me letting our back up left back depart on loan it was important I tried to get a better one in as soon as possible and I believe I have.

It wasn't all positive news as their was some bad news. Star midfielder Kostyukevic departed the club as our board accepted a two hundred and fifty thousand pound bid from BATE Borisov and he ended up departing the club, joining BATE. I was annoyed as I wanted to keep him.

In our five scheduled pre season affairs before the Super Cup we picked up three victories and suffered two defeats.

They were all played away from our Torpedo home and it started with a game against RUOR and a hat trick from Korolyuk in between a Moroz consolation goal sealed the win but then we crashed to a single goal defeat in the second game against Gorodeya and our third game was a two goal win over Isloch with two goals in as many minutes from Korolyuk and Fabio sealing victory.

I then travelled to my former club Zhlobin and secured another two goal win as Kugan and Solovey struck in either half and a trip to First League side Lida ended our pre season programme temporarily before our big cup final, the game didn't go exactly to plan as Kosmin and Zanemonets scored for the home side, with Yarotskiy pulling a goal back late in the second half.

We played four games in March as our season kick started with a Super Cup encounter with Naftan along with three extremely tough league games.

The season started with the big Super Cup encounter with Naftan at a neutral venue and I secured my third trophy in Belarus thanks to a three one success as we broke the deadlock in the fifteenth minute thanks to young Northern Irish man Carson who bundled the ball home but Naftan equalised late in first half stoppage time through Abdulaziz Abidemi. We restored the lead when new signing Borovskiy scored on seventy eight minutes and Carson's goal with the game entering stoppage time sealed the trophy.

And the season started with a tough game as Neman came to Torpedo and the champions got off to a dream start with a three nil win and we broke the deadlock on thirty four minutes thanks to striker Korolyuk and then central defender Yevlash headed home a second goal before Korolyuk continued were he left off last season with his second of the game and our third with twenty minutes left.

Next up was a trip to SKVICh who survived the drop at the end of last season. Winger Boiko got us off to a dream start with a goal inside two minutes before Carson missed a glorious chance to double the lead and I'm glad that didn't cost us as Korolyuk doubled the lead early in the second half and the same man added his second and our third.

And the month ended with a trip to Brest (Blr) as we headed with confidence following our impressive start to the season but we soon left with our tail between our legs as we suffered a humiliating two one loss and we fell behind on the half hour as Orochko scored and then Volkov doubled the lead early in the second half but we did get a consolation whenever Osipovich put through his own net inadvertently.

We're in third place at the end of the first month of the season but I'm not worrying as only three league games have been played to date, both BATE and Naftan have a one hundred per cent record after the first set of fixtures, I've no doubt we'll be up there come the end of the season.

Pre season was indeed decent enough but sure results don't matter then. I'm pleased with the start to the season despite the defeat to Brest and I'm down to one single trophy to win, which is the Belarusian Cup, I need to wrap that up and head to Belgium.
