EDIT: Turns out it is. The teams are seeded from their fifa rankings into two pots, top four in one then the rest in the other. Assuming nothing changes between now and then this means the pots would look like this:
Switzerland 7th
Italy 17th
Croatia 18th
Northern Ireland 20th
Sweden 23rd
Denmark 26th
Republic of Ireland 34th
Greece 47th
Right?!

I thought they were both unseeded? With Denmark seeded. Not sure how they split them all though.

As far as I know, with both nations being unseeded it's not possible.

Exactly what I am saying! More than that, if a third seed team made it to second place, why would it be fair on the to be put against a first seed team? I mean, if a fair draw made that pairing, fine but no need to bubblewrap the bigger countries.

Norn Iron were so much better in the second leg in Basel, I really thought Johnny Evans' header was going to go into the net but alas it wasn't to be. Gutted for players like Aaron Hughes and Gareth McAuley as this was probably their last chance at qualification for a World Cup.

Even though Switzerland missed a fair few chances tonight which would have made it more comfortable, it's a shame the only goal of the two legs was as a result of the awful penalty decision.

As you say, Insigne - the most creative player, the most likely one to maybe produce a moment of magic to get through the defence - getting about 20 minutes over the two legs, absolutely mental.
Get Ancelotti in and go from there.
