Play with commentary only/ turn off 3d match engine

Hey sorry if these has been answered already, i havent seen it anywhere. im an old school player and have always preferred to play with commentary
only. i cannot find how you do this in FM18 and dont know how to turn off 3d engine. can anyone please advise.

Same, would love to know. Much better the old way before they started bringing out 2d and 3d engine. Any ideas anyone?

With it seemingly being impossible to turn off the 3D match engine, can anyone give advice on what is the best way to view matches that is similar to the “old” versions I.e minimal 3D/ graphics and so forth. Thanks

Must be a way because if anyone thinks the 3D engine is good then fair play to them. No realism for me, 3D stadiums that don’t look anything like their real life counterparts and robotic on the field players.

Stadium pics in the background like the old days are far better

There is no way to turn it off, welcome to the future.

Best you can do is put it on lowest detail

You can "remove" the pitch and view the match with commentary only.
Change the camera from 3D to Commentary, remove all highlights and you'll watch the match with the line-up and the commentary in the bottom.

But can you get Stadium pics to appear in the background as well like the old day?
