*My journeyman save will continue, but this save is going to take priority for the time being, I've already played through season one which was very enjoyable! Potentially the most fun I've had on a save in a while.

Yeovil Town Football Club, a club on the down, back struggling in League Two following a couple of good seasons. Yeovil were promoted to the Championship for the first time in their history back in May 2013 following a Playoff win from League One. However the Championship season wasn't one to remember, picking up just eight wins from forty six league games, the club finished rock bottom of the English second tier table and were relegated to League One. It got worse a year later when they were sent for a second relegation on the bounce and were forced to play League Two football again. The last two seasons have seen The Glovers struggle in League Two as well, narrowly avoiding the drop finishing nineteenth in the 2015/16 season and then last year finishing twentieth. Something has to change at the club.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/Yo9WJIy0M713TzXKAERbMngjg6zqijP633sT9WUz.jpg

As you can see, its not a glowing trophy cabinet, its not one of those you hear everyone talking about thats for sure. A Skybet League Two title is currently the clubs 'most prestigious award'. Eighteen other trophies currently sit in the trophy cabinet but nothing really significant to date. I aim to change that. As you can see on the League History graph, the club are on that sharp decline, its time to turn this small towns fortunes around and get them towards the top end of the English league structure.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/5Bcym0uiFq6VgPspQQXjqvPpBVyhvYxRnRVybNLx.jpg

The facilities here at Yeovil aren't the greatest, for a small town they're okay, but for a club that were in the Championship three years ago, they're not what they'd like to be. This will be an on going process to improve them as and when we have the finances ready. A stadium with a capacity of just 9,565 and only 5,212 of those seats it a stadium now seventeen year olds but already looks out of date. All the facilities are quite poor here, Below average training facilities, Poor data analyst facilities, basic youth facilities. We'll work on these as we go though.

For a change, I've given my manager 'Dan' full coaching qualifications and previous experience. I can't be bothered to go through requesting to go on courses constantly taking it out the budgets and I'd like the squad to respect me and be able to make an impact in the transfer windows and with staff. But I have my Yeovil Town green tie on and am ready to try and take this club towards the top. I've already played out one season, which will be the next update, I'll more than likely then run seasonal updates to give me more time to play and less time to worry about updating constantly.

Season one, 2017/2018: Season one has come to a conclusion, in all honesty, it ended up being one of my funnest seasons I think I've played on Football Manager for quite some years. I never managed my local side Yeovil Town as I've never been motivated to play it, but this year season one leaves me wanting more. The aim is to get them to the top eventually, but lets recap on season one, the board wanted a mid table finish, the media changed our prediction from 17th pre season to 9th when the season started. Could we go on to defy the odds in season one, we'd face three cup competitions too, the Checkatrade Trophy being our best bet of silverware this year.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/ABxTGH4IHK0uVYaK6VGVAuBomeMaNOUVcphHj7Nw.png

Pre Season News: Within the first couple days of me taking charge, the one thing I wanted to do was find us a suitable parent club who would help us a little financially as well as be able to send us some younger players on loan which we can help develop as well as push us towards the top end of the League Two table. Four clubs soon came back, Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton and Manchester United, we want on to choose Chelsea, they offered us the most and I like their youth academies.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/NscjFg9QHFYdXmRPysERjLvuZess4WcedYd9JwUY.png

Transfer Window Round Up: Our bank balance was always too tight to do much, our wages were tight, eventually I eased these up when I did contract renewals to give us the room on the wages. However I stuck with loan signings over the summer, bringing in five faces for the season. Jared Bird originally from Barnsley then raiding Chelsea Under 23s, our parent club at the time to bring midfielder Kyle Scott, defender Ruben Summet and attacking wingers Miro Muheim and Kylian Hazard, brother of Belgium star Eden!

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/q8klC52a7aqpFbXTXPs27oeQMtQt6jrL0hAH58iV.png

The Carabao Cup: The board wanted us to reach the First Round, easily achievable, we went one round better in the end then. We faced League One side Charlton first round and managed to come back from one down, to force extra time when loanee Olomola netted for us. It was penalty shootout success for us too as we won 5-4 from the spot. Second Round We were home against Championship side Aston Villa, they weren't brilliant, we fell just short though, perhaps a tactical error by me, losing 2-1.

https://i.imgur.com/asZRWZK.png

The Checkatrade Trophy: We had a very 'derby' feeling group with us facing Exeter and Plymouth, least the away day wasn't too bad. Our other team in the group was our parent clubs, youth side, Chelsea Under 23s. We won our first two groups games one nil before narrowly losing out four three to eventual Carabao Cup champions Chelsea Under 23s as we qualify with them. The Knockout stages saw us beat Barnet on penalties, Olomola netting both ours to bring us back from behind, the second in the 88th minute. Whilst the Third Round saw us lose a thriller to MK Dons, three all on the night but a penalty shootout defeat. The board pleased we got out the groups stages!

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/q3IjDIHUXgk5b1ZpOegzaPVE42AGTTINN1lSU9Bl.png

The FA Cup: Once again, a superb run, beating the boards expectations for a third competition in a row. They wanted us to reach the Second Round, we went on to make it to the Fourth! Beating League One side Port Vale three nil away in the First Round got our FA Cup journey going. Home ties for the next three Rounds saw us beat fellow League Two side Port Vale in a five goal thriller, three two with loanee Hazard netting three minutes from time to send us through. Southport put up a fight, leading two one at one point, behind goin down to ten men and two goals in the final twelve minutes, seeing us advance. Championship side Fulham then sent us out the competition, we didn't give up though, losing five two.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/pCYYOk793gZHq9YLLt2x7ZvrBZyyRkH80YxUY7qu.jpg

EFL League Two: What a season this turned out to be, we hit some fantastic form over the year which saw us hit a thirteen game unbeaten run and a seven game unbeaten run close to each other. Over the year we only lost twelve games which I felt was a brilliant effort for a club predicted to finish so low. We also played out just two nil nil draws over the whole season as well. We lost Omoloa in January as his loan deal from Southampton came to an end and we couldn't renew it which was annoying, he had provided us so many goals up to then. But over the season, out of thirty three wins none of them came any bigger than the victory over what was league leaders on the Final day of the season, where we won three two.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/srm8Y5nTMn3spSlGfnmuQ42pG8mCnbMBQPN58H0s.png

EFL League Two Table: League Champions!! I didn't expect that, the board didn't expect that, the fans didn't expect that! We've been there or there abouts from about ten games into the league season and it went down to the very last day. We went into it second, two points behind league leaders Lincoln and we jumped them, before the game we could of finished down in sixth still! We went on to score eighty eight goals this season, the best in the league, whilst conceding sixty, not the best defensively, which is only the eighth lower to be fair. Close rivals Exeter come up with us as do Lincoln who defied the odds, Mansfield (who for some reason don't have a small badge) won their way to promotion via the playoffs.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/aYmaEN8IYYuMevpFiNrTLABjd52tgOef3Xns1VkX.png

Player Stats: Krysiak was our number one for the majority of the season, Maddison was given a couple of games to try and keep him happy at the club. Very happy with our number ones performance over the season. As you can see, Sid Nelson was our main centre back, making fifty appearances as a loanee and he was paired with nathan Smith for the majority of it, six goals between this centre back partnership too. Connor Smith in midfield popped up with forty appearances with five goals and four assists. Moving towards the attacking phase, Hazard had six goals and seventeen assists in thirty eight games, superb supplied this year, whilst Zoko was our leading scorer, thirty three goals and fourteen assists in fifty one games.

Just two things:

1) You need to strengthen the defence drastically, 60 goals conceded for champions is poor.
2) How come Mansfield Town don't have a badge?

But you have had a tremendous first season at Yeovil @Dan and well done on securing the League Two title. Francois Zoko had a tremendous season as did Kylian Hazard too - are you looking to get the latter on-loan again for the League One season? KIU pal.

He was brilliant for us last season @Suffolk Seasider, hopefully he can continue that sort of form in League One!

Thanks @r96Skinner much better than I had expected for a first season.

As long as we scored more than we conceded I don't care @Shedender we done so much better than expected. Not sure why Mansfield small badge is missing from the pack when the large one works. I was definitely going to raid Chelsea again as you'll see in the update here.

We won't @DNZY so I need to put them on the map myself!

Thanks @tongey

Season two, 2018/2019: Season one was a huge shock to myself, we performed so much better than I had expected and somehow turned an early 17th prediction in League Two into league winners. Now we head into season two and have to turn things up another notch. As expected the board wanted us to avoid relegation as the media were tipping us to finish rock bottom of the league. I had plans though, we had our training facilities upgraded in the summer, a screenshot I had missed. But everything else you need to know is rounded up in this here update.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/fvQsKjdQcDHNlUDrFf8QLMwPNbAbjyXT4ee1FiNo.png

Pre Season News: Apart from our training facilities being upgraded in the summer this was the only other real piece of big news, a delight to every Yeovil Town fan in the world. Greedy chairman Fry retired and we got a whole new board in. It'll be a good transition, they cleared the club debts and pumped a little money into the club, not much, but it'll help us in League One. We searched for a second parent club, with Man United, Arsenal and Liverpool coming back, however I decided to keep our current link with Chelsea.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/Esamvoun5CZjxAYy7SarzefF8q1dOgFjfSrWIWQZ.png

Transfer Window Round Up: A couple players left on free transfers as their contracts ran out in the summer, bar that the only actual deal that took place saw Sowunami move to Accrington on loan. Incomings was very busy on the other hand, seeing twelve players join the team over the course of the season. We raided Chelsea once again, Snapping up Kylian Hazard on a free transfer and fellow former Chelsea player Maddox. Whilst Feruz joins us on loan from the blues. Olomola rejoins us this summer, he played half a season for us last year and was top scorer until he departed in January, this year hes on a full season deal. Sid Nelson, also on loan last year joined from Millwall on a free too. I wanted another keeper that would provide competition for Krysiak, so bought in Flatt on a free deal. Doran, Wright and Whitmore were also free summer deals. Lennon and Raggett joined to sure up the back line on loan from Charlton and Norwich whilst we snapped up a record breaking £350k for Palace' Kaikai in January, a player of some quality in my eyes.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/xqfFJx9rM3q5e4MQV4XlRMtQYQBpfBm853p1Esco.png

The Carabao Cup: No Carabao Cup run again this year, we crashed out in the first round as we faced fellow League One side Southend, we just couldn't get going, Khan netted a penalty to make it one all but we eventually went on to slip away.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/c23HILqzm88DtsY7Mf9J8WzL40afqhMheFBuAX3d.png

The Checkatrade Trophy: Another superb Checkatrade Trophy run for us again this year, the group stages saw us win three out of three, with one of those on a penalty shootout. We beat Bristol Rovers three one and then Plymouth on penalties following a one all draw. We had to win against Swansea to secure our spot and went on to finish top of the group as we beat them two nil, both goals in the second half. A run kept building as we beat Southend, Southampton under 23s and then Lincoln to reach the EFL Trophy South Final. But that'd be where we finished our run, we lost out three one to the eventual winners. Both years now we've gone out to the eventual competitions winners.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/GMpsQnKtSLsEIn2u145vOUlYnJt3cJozfJge1vpY.png

The FA Cup: Delighted to see us make the Third Round for a second season in a row with me in charge, shame we couldn't quite match last seasons fourth round appearance and with the game I felt we could of. The first round saw us drawn at home against Cambridge who we comfortably dispatched four one, leading four nil as Olomola smashed a hatrick then conceding in injury time. Another home tie fo the second round, this time we beat Newport three one. However the Third Round was our stopping point this time, Charlton beating us away from home two one.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/wKS6UqG3oIbrSmO0QNlNz1Zy5xLGt1DZgnU0vubJ.jpg

EFL League One: What a season this turned out to be, the start our form was very hit and miss, inconsistant and no real run appearing. However as our league season developed it proved to be a great momentous run from the end of December. Going originally on a nine game unbeaten run from December to February in the league things turned and we were suddenly in promotion contention some how. We went on to lose three on the bounce and win two from five games! An easier run of games awaited us towards the end of the season, seeing us go on another nine game unbeaten run, with our fixtures against Doncaster a big decider on the final day, we went into it in second place, a win and results going our way would see us win the league again...

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/hkv0t7FiyymFO68mlRcTwcvoPVbABhkN4iVH4j45.png

It looked like we were going to bottle our chance of promotion, even a point wasn't going to be enough as results were going against us, we were going down to third and facing the prospect of the playoffs this year. However in the eighty ninth minute we were given a penalty, up stepped Otis Khan with nerves of steel to convert and send us into pandemonium! A second league title and promotion on the bounce!

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/y0ts7PJykMHvhVB9FVaX1Fy9tTyuMfiaNZ2uKPLU.png

EFL League One Table: And there it is, confirmed, for the second season running, we win the league title on the final day as results go our way! I wasn't expecting this. Honestly I was hoping for a mid table - top ten finish this year, we've outdone ourselves and the opposition! We've smashed it. Once again we had one of the leakiest defences going but managed to outscore the opposition on our way to a second promotion and league title. Even more impressively Mansfield are also coming up with us for a second season running. Exeter also nearly followed for a second year running but missed out in the playoff Final. At the other end of the table its relegation for Oxford, Bury, Oldham and AFC Wimbledon.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/bA6b1CuHol1JiWkx0PQdzLOw5dPTF36jyT9EiNPv.png

Player Stats: I kind of overloaded the squad a bit too much this year it'd seem and wasn't too good at rotating them. Krysiak was still our number one, Flatt made a few appearances and performed well, he'll be important next year I feel. We had plenty of rotation in defence with most of them hitting plenty 'double figure' numbers, Sid Nelson proved to be our main defender though, the leader of the back line. Kaikai made 25 appearances 8 goals and 8 assists since joining in January. Hazard wasn't used quite as much but performed when required. Madox was brilliant in midfielder notching over fifty appearances for us since joining from Chelsea. Olomola was brilliant at the front line, thirty two goals and nineteen assist in fifty two games. Doran, Feruz and Zoko all hitting double figures too.

Season three, 2019/2020: Following two promotions in two seasons and two league titles to come with those, we head back to the Championship with Yeovil Town for the first time since they were in it in 2013/14 and unremarkably struggled. Thats when they were relegated for the first of two times in successive years. Now I need to perform better than they did, we had a bit of spare money in the summer to spend as well as a weird transfer which I'll show you shortly. Just the two cup competitions this year thought compared to the three the last two years.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/wwxBJMq8ACSNDduSmbdGRmKROffCx8cRDuBxMRZ4.png

Pre Season News: Only real news from the summer, I didn't search for another parent club as we had Chelsea still and I'd look to make that work to my advantage again if possible. But the news was the board wanted to reinvest the money we've earned the last couple of seasons and upgrade the training, youth and data analyst facilities, it'll cost us around two and a half million pounds in total but it'll be a step forward for the whole club hopefully.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/3d2O6jvdrzFNnh95foYJbPUkuKRFU1sXz0huIxhV.png

Transfer Window Round Up: A window in which we made a profit and a pretty decent one at that. We lost Maddison to a free transfer, he wasn't going to get any game time this year anyway. Green ad Goluickas left for Rochdale and Trackie respectively, both deals combine to just under thirty five thousand pounds. Then a weird deal, Sheffield United snapped James Bailey off us for two million pounds, potentially rising to three point one, a rotational midfielder for us, the board accepted the transfer above my head. Joe Tomlinson and Rhys Browne went out on loan.

Incomings were slightly busier with eight new faces in total over the summer period. First in was experienced midfielder David Wheeler from QPR for just ninety six thousand pounds. We then raided Swansea, Leicester and West brom to snap up Adam King, Callum Elder and Kyle Howkins on free deals. Loan deals were agreed for George Byers and Toni Gomes, as well as Olufela Olomola from Southampton, his third stint with us now. Finally we finished the summer by signing Macaulay Gillesphey from Newcastle for £165k.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/HcqvsWDZyuv7tMdWmt8TJ5d1m5oxmPETCmdfYFNj.png

The Carabao Cup: A couple of goal fests for us in the Carabao Cup this year, two rounds, eight goals scored, nine goals conceded. First up we faced League Two side Cambridge where we had to battle but won four three in the end. The an unkind draw saw us face Premier League side Crystal Palace and despite Olomola netting four for us, we lost out six four! A back and fourth game, we gave it our all!

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/yGKglWZrRBi0uB6BqZaSuxMoUCY6kUHxHBCI35lr.png

The FA Cup: Another unkind draw left us no chance to produce a cup run in the FA Cup either, we were draw at home against Liverpool, Premier League giants. And even though they played a slightly lesser side in strength, we still couldn't get anything from this game, losing out two nil.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/SkBqoKWXl8ilWcdFL1cH45u9pJOcPkRUBXYCObwC.jpg

EFL Championship: Well it was a very inconsistent journey, plenty of defeats and so many draws over the season but we also picked up a load of wins, shocking many of teams this season and even went on a lengthy unbeaten run at one point, admittedly it did include a fair few draws. We conceded 19 goals in our first 7 games and then I realised we couldn't play attacking football this year. I changed it to counter, defensive and even contain football as we had to try and sure things up. Admittedly our defence never really overly improved but results did. We were always going to leak goals this year so I'm pleased with how the results panned out, but did we do enough to secure a second season on the bounce in the Championship.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/3EjvfSI4X3KZjN1h0eH1ciLyapxKgOMmeHnHGJYx.png

EFL Championship Table: Ninth! What an absolute blinding season that was! We scored the second most in the league, only three behind Hull whilst we went on to concede the third most. A shocking season at the back but it doesn't overly matter this season, it was just about securing ourselves in this division this year and we easily did it. Wolves smashed it this year with 102 points, Leeds head up with them whilst Huddersfield win the playoffs. We ended up thirteen points away from the playoffs but we were never meant to be there whilst thirty points clear of relegation. Sunderland went into administration and nearly went down! Surviving by three points. Mansfield are relegated this year after coming up with us twice last couple years.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/slssBTr6VQpQmSothTvfWvhfSiC7TrW1FvHqORJn.png

Player Stats: A simply stunning season from everyone who featured for us this season and they all deserve a mention! In goal both Kysiak and Flatt performed well, yes we leaked goals but it was always to be expected in this league, we improved as we went on. Mugabi and Nelson were our main two defenders this season, notching up a good amount of starts as was Howkins. Into midfield Elder who came in this season was ever present Wheeler performed well when he was used. Hazard was a little under used and will leave this summer as he won't accept a new deal. Kaikai produced eight goals and eleven assists this season whilst Khan had ten goals and nine assists. Olomola had a baffling season, forty one goals, twenty assists in forty nine games! Zoko didn't deliver in this league, Toni Gomes, a little short of quality but notched up thirteen goals and thirteen assists in his twenty nine games.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/E7HOEZAZxkjEcIHigHp12OpkoJdo9uoRsATIUzJ9.png

End Of Season News: I don't normally do an end of season post but we had some big news as soon as we finished the season. The board are investing more money into the club as the stadium is undergoing an expansion. Not a big one, we'll add 2841 more seats to take our capacity up to 12,406 in total. It'll take four months to complete. Elsewhere we also set a new record in high finish, beating the previous 24th in the Championship.

Season four, 2020/2021: Four seasons into this career now and my reign at Yeovil Town shows no signs of stopping anytime soon. Not from my point of view anyway. Season four provided us with the chance of our second successive season in the Championship, the second tier of English football. After securing a record high 'ninth place' finish last season, I was secretly hoping we'd hit the playoffs this year whilst the board wanted us to avoid relegation and the boys were told to aim for a mid table finish. Objectives all over the place but we knew what we were aiming for.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/nJWQ53eGZQ8a1uTCkse76nFm1NOp0bRPBuzogR0t.png

Pre Season News: Very little news again this summer, only news was a repeat of last years news that the facilities will undergo upgrades again, probably come the end of the season. Its brilliant for us as we need to keep improving these facilities we have now to make players want to join us and make sure we're getting the most out of them whilst they're at the club even at youth level.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/LPAn4fIzHLtTBKzIx765wjGFBcRP7MDxmPggN8Uk.png

Transfer Window Round Up: For a second summer window in a row we succeed in making money. A few people left as their contracts expired at the end of last year, including Kylian Hazard who very much became a bit part player. Young Alex Whitmore joined Plymouth for £100k whilst Rhys Browne headed to Northampton for £22.5k. The big deal saw Krysiak earn a call up to the Premier League as Newcastle took him off our hands for £1.6million. A couple younger players left on loan. In January Gillesphey made noise about leaving, Cardiff snapped him up for £210k whilst Wheel joined Charlton on loan.

Incomings we didn't spend a penny! Just how I like it! However I did go for a few younger players who already look very talented, in my opinion anyway and could add a lot to the squad over the coming years. Leon Goosens joined from Oss, a twenty year old centre back. We got Sasa Bubanja on a free deal after his contract ran out with Aarau from Switzerland. Even Sobak is my new and future number one. Just twenty years old and this allowed me to ship of Krysiak. Another free deal as he leaves Norway. Tyler Reid joins on loan from Swansea more as back up. Hamza Choudhury joins from Leicester on a free and adds quality and a little experience to the centre of the park for us. Whilst we raided Chelsea for another two young stars in Fikayo Tomori and Jake Clarke-Salter. It goes without saying Olomola and Toni Gomes both had their loan deals extended another year.

The Carabao Cup: One day we may get kinder draws and actually give this Carabao Cup competition a proper go. We faced Oxford at home in the First Round and comfortably beat them four two, a bit of a goal fest there. It was the same scoreline in the Second Round where we faced fellow Championship side Reading however on this occasion we were on the wrong side of that scoreline and crashed out.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/ZMozAh0tojFE3fCHIqG6tLwmHiKIVD7koIPGKXPw.png

The FA Cup: A nicer draw in the Third Round of the FA Cup this year compared to last year where we faced Liverpool, this time around we had Shrewsbury and beat them one nil thanks to a Kyle Howkins header. However the Fourth Round would prove to be our exit, we drew at home one all with West Brom however the replay, away from home saw the Baggies beat us two nil.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/mNiwypwb7IplK1QRfwapaX5c6pMradDd3BjQ2EvK.jpg

EFL Championship: The season started in style alright as we hit ten goals in our opening two games, conceding just one as we beat Norwich and then Preston, a couple defeats followed before we put another five past Sunderland and then Portsmouth. Whilst our defence was just as leaky as last year, we continued to score goals for fun again this season and that saw us cancel out a lot of defeats, in fact we only lost five times in the first half of the season and were racking up a good early points haul. A couple big games to forget, Losing 5-0 to both Fulham and West Brom, they are both previous Premier League teams though, Millwall also beat us 5-2. But all in all a good season and Gomes and Olomola both hitting twenty eight league goals.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/Vw6GfsIZf1q13BvhTA1q4fyKvCRaCzYAtLlIzzdm.png

EFL Championship Table: That season had seen us go on to finish all the way up in third! We missed out on the chance of automatic promotion as well. For a lot of the second half of the season we occupied second place and could of followed Fulham up this year who had a tremendous league campaign. The Final day of the season we had to beat West Brom to jump them to second, unfortunately they ended up smashing us and we moved down to fourth! So we'd head for the playoffs instead this year. We'd face Brighton over two legs in the Semi Finals whilst Bristol City and Portsmouth would do battle in the other Semi Final. We also recorded a high all time record finish of 4th place as well.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/0pL5t2oryRYyFhgAvIANtwVDRZE5EGtPMJT6E0Rh.png

EFL Championship Playoff Semi Final Leg 1: The First Leg of the Semi Final would go on to see Brighton hold the advantage as we travel to the seashore club and lost out narrowly two one. We did grab a vital away goal though. Mitrovic fired Brighton into the lead with a header after twenty nine minutes. It got worse just three minutes later when Madsen made it two nil. Thankfully three minutes later Olomola struck to give us hope still.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/qaMNqVDEQsJbdzYTEuwPv4KVOv7GrPm9xzVWuqmw.png

EFL Championship Playoff Semi Final Leg 2: What a response from the lads this was! We were being dominated on the stats but that didn't stop us performing here. Olomola gave us the lead after just thirteen minutes which bought the tie level on aggregate. The game peatered out a bit and with neither side taking their chances it went to extra time. And thats where Otis Khan stepped up again, scoring the penalty which sent us to the Championship two seasons ago, this time in the 111th minute he struck from 13meters out to send us to the Playoff Finals!

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/GFHX8fVRM9b40JWgP7pwq1EjYysYNQ3y1sN3tyxg.png

EFL Championship Playoff Final: So close but yet so far! We fall at the final hurdle this time around as a local derby saw us face off against fierce rivals Bristol City and miss out on the chance of promotion to the premier League. A game where we didn't create much saw Bristol City go on and win the game thanks to a strike from Pekka Kari-Sorja in Extra time, the 96th minute. We done what we could, it just didn't prove to be enough this year around.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/JcLSWNWgiU2oAwvXFRUx8ZHivoS8pcj1oWwbwwyN.png

Player Stats: Another season where probably everyone could of been mentioned. Sobak came in to be our number one immediately, making 50 appearances over the year, conceded a fair few but he'll grow as a keeper. At the back loanee Salter made forty starts whilst his fellow Chelsea team mat Tomori started 53 of our 54 games this year and was superb, Sid Nelson we our highest scoring defender with three goals. Into midfield and Maddox and Kaikai were the highest capped players this season with forty three and forty eight starts. Twenty goals and twenty six assists between the pair whilst Otis Khan scored thirteen and assisted twelve in his thirty seven starts. Olomola and Gomes clicked this season, both hitting twenty eight goals and had 15 and 16 assists between. Gomes was the only play to play every game this season.

That hurt big time @DNZY, I mean, I don't mind losing playoffs at any stage, its part of football, but to Bristol City, just nope!

We will push on and build from it @Shedender

Season five, 2021/2022: My fifth season in charge now at the 'Glovers' and every one of those seasons have been fulfilled with enjoyment and challenges along the way. We had absolute heartbreak last season around as we reached the playoffs where we went on to lose in the Final to fierce rivals Bristol City. We now had to rebuild, win the fans back over and prove we were capable of doing it all over again. Could we hit the playoffs for a second year running, or even go for straight promotion.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/kWD1Q8Zo8zjZHatNjCzJmAwAoWXUm5rwOL09CHKu.png

Transfer Window Round Up: The transfer window wasn't overly busy but we did our best to strengthen the squad where we could and sorted out getting rid of dead wood. Jake Gray joins newly promoted Birmingham for £81k potentially rising to £110k. Kyle Howkins was the only other man to permanently leave, joining Sheffield United for £500k. Elsewhere Ashton, Wilson and Smith all went out on loan.

We started the transfer window brining in three players on free deals, all who played for us on loan last season. Young Chelsea centre back Jake Clarke-Salter, who had a solid season for us last year on loan, signs permanently, as do striker pairing Toni Gomes from Liverpool and Olufela Olomola from Southampton. Delighted to get these three in on permanent deals. A couple more free transfers followed, both are centre backs and go in the name s of Fevzi Gurbuzerol and Ivan Trepsic. We finished the summer window by signing Brazilian attacking midfielder Diego Cristiano for £600k.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/0HC6422h5Nl4XVgAcgmANTsdIY6lJqLRjHICj28B.png

The Carabao Cup: The Carabao Cup saw us finally get past the opening couple of rounds. In fact this time we got to the Third Round. We beat Forest Green two nil in the First Round, goals from Clarke-Salter and Kaikai sending us through. We then welcomed Stevenage who also put up little battle, beating them three one thanks to a couple goals in the final ten minutes, Cristiano, Olomola and Kaikai on target for us. We exited in the Third Round though as Premier League giants Arsenal came to us and we lost out two one, Choudhury trying to get us back in it four minutes from time.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/nxzF60zzK7fFBbwyfECIztZDTGJj76BX9WPcjsPG.png

The FA Cup: We also went on a 'small' FA Cup run too as we were drawn away at Shrewsbury in the FA CUp Third Round, second half goals from Gomes x2 and Olomola sending us through three nil. Next up, at home we welcomed Nottingham Forest, beating them two nil, again second half goals required from strike pairing Gomes and Olomola. But it was another Premier League giant who sent us out, Spurs beating us two nil at home in the Fifth Round.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/ndjJCQBiclmBtO3wB22aS94TfJyhjZejTSzlu7ZT.jpg

EFL Championship: Our form this season seemed much better, we didn't get beat by conceding '5' or more, more than once this year which is an improvement, we went on a couple of good unbeaten runs in the league too, stretching to six wins on the bounce in one run and an eight match unbeaten run. Highlight of our league season results must be the 5-0 win over local rivals Exeter, that pleased the fans whilst former Premier League side Huddersfield provided out worse moment of the league season with a 5-1 thrashing of us. But all in all, was this enough for promotion or a playoff spot.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/DrAyBtgNTmuAGG0tAeWX6cjomcFIN6Idy1VbO82z.png

EFL Championship Table: Playoffs secured for a second season running. We went into the final day in third where a win over league champions Brighton would of seen us jump into second and win automatic promotion, same as last year, but we obviously missed out on that and dropped down to fifth. Once again we scored the most league goals this year which saw Gomes and Olomola finish second and third in the goal scoring charts. However did concede the eighth most again this year. Anyway, a two legged tie against Norwich now awaited. We had beat Norwich on both occassions this season...

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/IJmkdyZ1lxWC83313ludBGb7FTe1zYW9vdZ3xIdL.png

EFL Championship Playoff Semi Final Leg 1: A late comeback, a late fight potentially leaving us in this tie! Norwich came to us and got off to a flyer, Beckwith netting after just two minutes and it got even better for them three minutes later as they doubled their lead through Ralls. Despite all the action in the first five minutes, the fans had to wait till the last five minutes for anymore, we went overload and it paid off, Olomola netting twice in the final five to snatch us a draw to take to Norwich in a couple of days.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/gJiEJA5ezrjES23qZm0MPVowQkgFbfN3FJhwnhjO.png

EFL Championship Playoff Semi Final Leg 2: Another tight affair saw the game end 1-1 on the night. Toni Gomes fired us into the lead just before half time, the perfect time for an opener. However Evans leveled for Norwich and neither side could find that all important second, it went into Extra Time and still no goal was found, so penalties awaited. Which is where we came out on top winning 4-3, not missing a penalty. Olomola, Gomes, Wheeler and Goossens all netting for us whilst Ralls and Trybull saw their penalties go wide and saved respectively to send us to the Playoff Final for a second successive season.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/ogbkexlwPn2MB7UQYbzMteC5qMz2kCUhLsJBCetY.png

EFL Championship Playoff Final: WE ARE GOING UP! SAY WE ARE GOING UP! Promotion! To the big time! The Premier League awaits. Despite struggling in both head to heads with Ipswich this year, the Playoff Final went our way and it was our star man striker again. Olomola fired us ahead and began to make us dream in the twenty eighth minute as he converted an early penalty. Fifty ninth minute Ipswich got themselves back level, Tom-Oyving Henriksen leveling the scores. However Olomola from fifteen meters out five minutes later, the goal that proved to be vital to send us to the Premier League.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/kQa4IzXXtGAq56lqJgAmT0eOmj5ykYrHzVHgncqC.png

Player Stats: Here is the squad that took us to the Premier League. Another fifty one appearances notched up for young keeper Sobak who is always improving. Flatt made four appearances across the season. Jake Clarke-Salter made fifty appearances following his free transfer whilst Mugabi, Nelson, Goossens and Elder all made around 30+ appearances along the back line. Adam King had a good second season here, scoring four, assisting three. Bubanji made fifty five appearances in midfield without scoring once! Diego Cristiano proved to be a worthwhile purchase, forty one appearances, nine goals and fourteen assists whilst aqveraging a 7.02 rating. Into more attacking positions. Maddox had another good year, four goals and fourteen assists in thirty eight games. Kaikai had ten and ten in thirty six. Then probably my favorite strike partnership I've ever had on any FM game, Olomola made fifty appearances, netting thirty two and assisting ten whilst Gomes made fifty four starts, scoring thirty five goals and setting up eighteen. A superb pairing.

End Of Season News: We desperately need a new stadium but funds are too tight. So the board and going to upgrade our current one, Huish Park, by a tiny amount for now. Our current 12,935 capacity stadium will undergo development and see another 4,453 seats added as well as install undersoil heating. It'll cost over £7million and see the capacity reduced over the next six months for completion. We will also see the youth and training facilities undergo upgrades over the next six months for another £3.3million. Its good to see the board improving the club behind the scenes for sure.

It'll be tough for us to survive @Shedender but the growth the club can see just this season in the Premier League financially has been immense. Hopefully we secured our spot....

Season six, 2022/2023: A sixth season in charge at Yeovil Town FC and the clubs first ever appearance in the Premier League. After a battling season last year saw us win the Playoffs against Ipswich and head up to the top tier of English football. Now would be our biggest season to date. Trying to survive in this division was now key as the financial benefits of being here would see the club grow year upon year.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/6OJ4nnOLwC8UhFu9XdDocgOF9XRhrage0XLTg5gV.png

Pre Season News:
Only pre season news was after the World Cup with a few nations coming to me to take charge. These were England, France and Russia. Whilst I was tempted with the top two, espcially for the money they were offering, I declined all three in the end.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/06mrY9Hh547OoH1dVJLIJjOo4FdvyHXtDWOQTRNY.png

Transfer Window Round Up: Think this is one of the first years where we spent more money than we bought in on transfers. The board gave me £30million to spend and I spent just over five million pounds in the end. Three youth players headed out on loan whilst keeper Jonathen Flatt joined Bournemouth for £50k.

Coming in we had to strengthen and first is was a transfer breaking fee of £3million for goalkeeper Emmanuel Crucitti from Perugia. Hoping he'll help us not leak so many goals. We raided the free transfers again as we bought in defensive midfielder Maximilliano Landriel, Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori who spent a year on loan with us two years ago and then former Arsenal academy player Joe Willock. Liverpools Liam Coyle cost us £375k whilst midfielder Ben Godfrey cost us £1.8million from Bournemouth. Finally a second keeper bought in this summer as Sergio Vall joined on loan from Barcelona.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/FUtukp0CNZoVmenwcKxi3Desy6OR8O8jSLXHd8aC.png

The Carabao Cup: By far the best cup run we've experienced to date. The Carabao Cup saw us go all the way to the Semi Finals this year around. We beat Championship side Birmingham 2-0 in the Second Round, late goals from Goossens and Olomola got us across the line. Portsmouth gave us some troubles in a 3-3 draw which we'd go on to win on penalties. Premier League strugglers Leeds welcomed us in the Fourth Round, we came back from one down at half time with Maddox and Kaikai netting. In the Quarter Finals we faced a derby against Bristol City who beat us in the Playoff Final two years ago to the Premier League and were relegated last year, we beat them 2-1, an Extra Time winner from Maddox getting us into the Semi Finals. And we played our best against Liverpool, losing out 3-2 at Anfield and 3-1 back at home as we missed a spot in the Final.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/iVIGncTZjxpkqwfnvfzvPZe5cP8UCMzBeD5ujivO.png

The FA Cup: We also enjoyed a good run in the FA Cup this year around. A trip to Peterborough in the Third Round saw us win two nil, Kaikai and Olomola netting in the final eight minutes. We continued our trips away with Sheffield Wednesday, winning two one before drawing nil nil against Watford in the Fifth Round. The replay we set up defensively and in the replay beat them 1-0 thanks to Willock. The Sixth Round saw Man United beat us 1-0 at home.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/E8zapkcTqvbzdG3oZ63DBbvFD8M9Rd0L56jpXHrT.png

Premier League: Well, as if you can't tell my that, this season was a struggle for sure! We never found a good run of games and never found a good run of results. Perhaps my fault for not making the most of the money available last summer and not strengthening enough. Conceded 5 on three different occassions including a 5-5 draw with Southampton and conceded six against Manchester City. We weren't strong enough to compete this season, but would we of done enough to survive...

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/lBKpwiPETTHeCOpCPp5NeRAb1C059HUTbJWIQpp5.png

Premier League Table: We didn't even hit the 'magical' 40 points total this year but due to the sides below us having a worse season than us, we survived by six points in the end. It could of been much closer. Had Swansea of beat us on the final day they would of drawn level with us on thirty five points as were Burnley, We'd probably of still survived on goal difference though. This obviously recorded a new 'high league position' for us this year, our debut season in the Premier League and now we got to make sure we're here to stay. Shocking season for Liverpool in 8th and Arsenal in 9th. Wolves and Leeds both go down along with Swansea.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/uEvcfWWmlcdJonT4BUVrlHhjTqoAGJtWhOGgoLm7.png

Player Stats: A bad'ish season stats wise means not many players really stood out. I've got three keepers, all predicted to hit the same rating star wise but need to sort out which two I want this year. Goossens played 49 times at the back, a solid season for him and Callum Elder too. My midfield rotated alot, Willock impressed for his first season here with 10 goals and 5 assists. Maddox and Kaikai also impressive again this year. I tried to keep faith in Olomola and Toni Gomes (for some reason not in the screenshot tho) but they didn't quite live up to the last few seasons. This summer I plan on spending and revamping the squad.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/simPpSwQG1d1x4Ia3aOVx8SrRfzphW2Q2fzbsqds.png

End Of Season News: Great news which just keeps getting better. The season has ended again and the board have rewarded us with an upgrade in the training and youth facilities once again. We'll try to keep pumping money into these until they are the best we can get. The stadium is being upgraded capacity wise again. I'd rather they just bought a new one in my name! We'll now ground share with Bournemouth for the next year whilst its done. The club have also cleared all the debts now too which is excellent news!
