I don't know London. Or the Tube.
How bad is it? If I'd paid for a £60 ticket, I feel I would put up with a bit of discomfort.

It's not though, because he was sent off for the face he lunged and that both his feet were off the ground.
I can see the argument that the laws are too strict now, or whatever, but to the letter of the law (just like his one against us) I think it's a red card and it looked ever more so from the angle Dean saw it from.

When I went to that con thing with my friend, you had to queue to get onto the platform. I ended up having to grab her and shove us onto the train.
Ninja
Tbf, in general it's pretty shit.
Last time I went to Wembley we were in the queue for about an hour for the tube, and that was an olympics game that hadn't sold out. Last time I was at the o2 we were very close to missing the last train home because of the 45 minute queue.

I think it was a harsh decision to send him off to be honest. Him and Wilshere both went in for it.

Can't see us not winning an appeal against a 3-game ban. I understand why the ref sent him off, as I thought it was 2-footed in real-time but it clearly isn't. Wilshere is no more 'in control' of his tackle than Kompany is

As I said above, I really don't see where Dean can go with it.
This is the definition of excessive force in the Laws of the Game:
Any player who lunges at an opponent in challenging for the ball from the front, from the side or from behind, using one, or both legs with excessive force and endangering the safety of an opponent is guilty of foul play.
Now the argument, obviously, is that whilst Kompany lunged he didn't endanger safety, but that's not the interpretation that the FA have used in the past. And games are clearly being refereed under the instructions that a lunge by it's nature endangers safety.
Poll, (who I don't think is very good, in his column as he was wrong with a point of law, again, the other day over Suarez hand ball incident) at least seems to say that this is what referees are told at the top level:
Referees are instructed that when a player goes into a challenge with both feet off the ground he is not in control of his actions and must be dismissed as he is endangering the safety of an opponent.
Although Kompany only makes contact with one foot, both feet have left the ground. I can see the FA bowing to public pressure and ignoring their own precedent on this and rescinding it, but to the letter of the law I don't think there's much argument.

I mean you can keep typing words and that's great. But I'm not going to read them. Because you're wrong. But please, if you want to continue then go ahead.

We'll see when the appeal is heard.
All I'm saying is to the letter of the law Dean's decision was perfectly acceptable, you may argue that the laws are too strict and too many good tackles are being outlawed. That's a perfectly fine opinion to have, and one that many referees probably hold as well. Unless you're actually going to argue with me over the law itself, I assume you agree that it was a red card under the current interpretations.

If a man rapes a woman, then the next day says that it is wrong for another man to rape a woman, it doesn't make that man's opinion invalid. Trying to call someone up on that is the pursuit of idiots who can't appropriate decent arguments of their own.
