The job center has just offered to pay my wife's wages for three months if Cancer Research will take her on permanently as assistant manager at the store she's been volunteering at, I'm really surprised, I didn't know they could do that. Great news though as the manager seems very happy to do so, she needs the go ahead from the area manager first though.
They (Jobcentre) are also talking about helping get our walk into national newspapers for us as a goodwill gensture. I take back all the negative stuff I've said about them in the past, They aren't useless after all.

My brother saw the big helicopter crash in Vauxhall. Fuck knows why he was there at 8am given that he's at Westminster University at his student accommodation is next to the Wembley Stadium, but he said he heard a loud bang and lots of fire.

Year 8 is one of the worst because they don't really want to learn that stuff and they know they don't really have to since they don't have exams in it etc.
I used to work in Year 1 so the advice I can give is limited. The most important thing is knowing when to stand your ground and not being afraid to do so. If you don't have balls, they'll know you're a walkover and will just do what they will.

I can't understand this outrage about there being horsemeat in Tesco's burgers, As far as the ingredients dolloped into processed burgers goes horse is probably one of the most healthy. For 58p did people really think they were getting quality meat anyway?
I usually buy fresh burgers or make them myself from minced meat which taste a million times better than tasteless frozen shit anyway.

I get why people are upset.

If you pay for beef burgers you should get beef burgers, but that's as far as it goes for me. Horse meat, apart from being a little taboo, is perfectly edible and quite nice, apparently.

Yeah it's not great but some of the kids were great and really switched on, you just have to handle the ones who think they are the life and soul.

I think I did ok today and hopefully they are a little better next week, I get paid either way and teaching secondary school isn't a desirable career for me.

Just looking through a load of old videos of mine. Still can't believe we got We Are Scientists to do this promo video for a party we were having in Aberdeen. Everything from them was off the cuff. All they got was the date and venue and the fact it was a party by Leckerblitz. Haha!

The National Lottery is doubling it's price to £2 per line, People are up in arms about it being a tax increase on the poor, stupid and delusional. There's a pretty simple solution if you are poor though. Stop pissing your money away on gambling and stick it in the piggy bank FFS.
