Hey All,

Great work with the update being done here. I have a quick question.

If I was to make my own personal changes to current database, what happens when the January transfer window update happens? Can those previous changes be brought across? Can they merge? Or will all work I do on be wasted when I choose to update.

Regarding the changes it'll just be a few team names, person attributes but nothing wholesale or transfer related.

Thanks and much appreciated whoever can provide feedback here

If you are doing a separate file yourself, then multiple files can be used at the same time. Editor data files work by editing just the particular entry. This way different editor data files can work at the same time.

If you have file 1, with changes to team name A and B, and an increase in pace in player H (for example), it can run quite happily alongside this update file and other editor data files adding new leagues etc. File 1 could probably also be used in different versions of FM as well

Sorry Mons for my dumb brain some examples if you can please help with?

Say I changed speed attributes of Player 1 in this current database (My own personal one). When the official FM update comes if it contains an update to those same attributes for that player it will overwrite? Or will my changes block it?

Is it the same for player/staff movement? I make a transfer in this current database, will it be overwrriten in the update? EG. I put Mourinho to Inter Milan, would he be removed in the update?

Sorry for the dumb questions just want to make sure I don't spend hours on changes and then it's all overwritten or has to be redone when the January transfer window comes out from SI. Cheers!

Editor data files always overwrite the official database. Whatever is included in your editor data file will always take precedence to whatever is in SI's database. If you put Mourinho to Inter Milan in your file, but when the 19.3 SI database comes out he has moved in real life to Real Madrid, any career you start will still see him at Inter unless you remove your editor data file.

Hope this helps
