This file will need to be re-applied if/when official patches/updates are released to ensure full compatibility. This is due to the fact that some files which are removed when installing this file are automatically re-installed by Steam when official patches come out.
Some of these changes, ESPECIALLY THE CLUB NAMES, may not apply in the Beta, FM Touch or in existing save-games. There's a workaround for that in the first post.
The sortitoutsi real names fix changes the instances of fake names in Football Manager 2019 to the proper, real life names for awards, cities, stadiums and competitions, in cases where the actual name is not licensed, such as Champions League, Europa League and Premier League displaying instead of EURO Cup, EURO Vase and Premier Division respectively. It will also fix the fact that the Japanese National teams don't call up real players and that the Bayern manager has a fake name. These are all fully save-game compatible.
There is also a club name changes file, which changes the names of clubs in a way which ensures that any nicknames entered in the default database are retained. This file includes the proper names for Brazilian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and French clubs to circumvent licensing restrictions. It also adds real-life media and journalists, encompassing most major footballing nations and continents. Brazilian clubs' text colours are also changed through an editor data file. Finally, it includes a small file which corrects the 3-Letter competition names to correspond with any changes made in the lnc files. For all the files in this paragraph to work, however, you will need to start a new game.

This should be what your editor data folder looks like now. There may initially be a config.xml file in this folder and it can be safely overwritten; it is generated by FM every time the game starts.
To make sure the files have been applied correctly, go to the Champions Cup and EURO Vase in your saved game, and they should be renamed to Champions League and Europa League respectively. If you are in the middle of a save-game, Japanese national teams will be populated in the next instance that players are called up, and not instantly. Do keep in mind that this file does not add Japan-based players are not in the official database and these will need a third-party add-on to be created and added.

You can get to the Library folder by simply selecting Go from the top bar and holding "alt" key - The Library folder suddenly appears on the drop down
For Mac Lion users, the Library folder will be hidden. Use this link to find out how to show it.
For those struggling to find the Steam and Steam Apps folder etc using Mac with the new OS High Sierra, this link below shows how you can unhide your Library folder which will then let you find the other folders.

Is this in any way connected to this file or should I look elsewhere?
mons
I'm afraid they don't have anything to do with this file. Neither the text "Noord-Ierland" nor "Groep" are included in the competition name change file.
It could possibly be related to any other editor data files you may have downloaded who has made the changes you refer to, but without seeing what you have, it's difficult to tell.
Sopel
Hmm, and what types of files could cause this? Before my current save I had different fix that didn't cause such problems but I carefully removed it and installed yours following every step. Where should I look, in .lnc files?
mons
It will probably be an editor data file, possibly adding some Dutch competitions and in which the file creator made some additional changes.
mons
Best thing to do is use the editor to open any editor data file you may have and check the respective entries...
Sopel
Hmm, so claassen's then? I don't have any other files that touch upon Dutch or Northern Ireland leagues. And the polish leagues are made by a polish creator so I don't see any reason as for why would he change that.
Well, anyways, maybe there is some pesky file left by some dutch creator, who knows, thanks for the help anyway

Like I said earlier, without knowing what files you have downloaded, there's no way I can tell exactly what is the cause. It could also possibly be caused by a remnant of the other real name fix you mention and which maybe you inadvertently omitted to delete. All I can say with 100% certainty is that it's not caused by this download.
It should be possible, I believe, but you'd have to find the equivalent path to those linked to in the main post. I don't have an ipad, so can't really help, I'm afraid.
To find the installation folder on the ipad, can you try right-clicking on FM19 on Steam, choosing properties, then clicking the below button
The screenshot is not for FM and I have no idea if Steam works in the same manner on a tablet as it does on a PC, but that's the best I can do for you...
Sopel
I searched around and yep, you were right - the file that caused my problem was FMInside's Update, in case you'd have someone with a similar problem to mine, thank you for your help!
mons
Glad to have had that cleared up

This pack doesn't add logos, so you'll have to ask whoever created the logopack you're using.

Superettan (Swedish 2nd tier) is called D3..

Rus7M
Why is that? And how to fix it? How find real ID club reserves numbers from France?
mons
I don't believe I made any changes at all from previous years to Swedish competitions. I'll check again and fix what needs fixing.
@Rus7M, like I said before, this pack doesn't add logos, so you'll have to ask whoever created the logopack you're using. Your issue has got nothing at all to do with this download.
Qvordrup
you can find UIDs for clubs here : https://sortitoutsi.net/search/database
the UID for monaco is 826 and the UID for monaco reserves is 48038841. So what you gotta do is find the logos (normal and small) for monaco (826) copy them to somewhere and rename them 48038841 and copy them back in to the folder where they belong, and overwrite the wrong logos. You could also just use the Metallic logo pack as can be downloaded here : https://sortitoutsi.net/graphics/style/3/metallic-logos
you can also go in to your preferences in the game and turn on UID so you can see the uid of monaco reserves in your game. if you use some custom database the uid might be different. But anyway this has nothing to do with this forum so please stop posting the question here

Old name: Uncles FC
New (correct) name: Solomon Warriors F.C.
Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solomon_Warriors_F.C. ("They were formerly known as Uncles FC"
http://www.rsssf.com/tabless/solom2010.html#nattelkom
They have the correct name on sortitoutsi: https://sortitoutsi.net/football-manager-2019/team/432951/solomon-warriors-fc but not in FM 19.
mons
As you rightly note, the correct name is Solomon Warriors. However, our file does not change the name at all and the club remains with that name in-game.
Perhaps you have other files in your editor data folder which are amending the club name Possibly timo's Solomon Islands league file?
V-Toll
I found the problem. It's not another file but my default language (German). When I change the data language in the editor to English I also see the correct name. Should I report this in the official forum?

That's very strange Yes, I would report this if I were you...

Hello!
I think there's been a mistake.
What's now been edited to be called The Best FIFA Men's Player should be the Ballon d'Or.
What's now been edited to be called FIFA World Player of the Year should be The Best FIFA Men's Player.

Ah, I see. I have released a new version to solve this and some of the other minor issues identified since release. The change is save-game compatible.
No update was released yesterday or at any point in the immediate past, as far as I'm aware
Ivo Jeurninck
Are you sure? This morning Steam installed my Football Manager again and since then the name fix doesn't work anymore. I've tried to download the fix again, installed it as i've been doing for 11 years know but it didn't work. Not in the save and also not in a new game. Brazil clubs are 3-letter names, Champions League and Europa League are not called that way etc...
mons
Has it been a while since you played FM? The last official update was 19.2.1 released on 19 December; nothing since then.
I'm a bit confused as how to the CL and EL name changes aren't appearing - those changes are save-game compatible
Can you give me screenshots of how all the folder mentioned in installation instructions look like on your system?
Ivo Jeurninck
I play every day, so thats not the problem....

Can I see inside the dbc/permanent, edt/permanent and lnc folders? Also your editor data folder.
