I made some name changes in the editor and want to merge them into the database being used by my saved game. When I select the file option to Merge Editor Data it prompts me for a file name. What file am I attempting to merge with and where would it be located? I'm assuming it's the database I originally loaded, but where is that located on disk so that I can merge?

Changes made by the pre-game editor need to be in place before starting a new game and cannot be added in the middle of a save game.

However, depending what name change you want to do, it should still be possible to have those changes in your save game by using an lnc file, using the methods outlined in this website.

Thanks for the clarification. I'm really only looking to change team names. As an American not familiar with European football it's more helpful for me to see, for example, 'Real Madrid' than 'R. Madrid'.

That should be easily doable with lnc files
