That game in Kiev cost us, Athletico came from behind to win 3-2 so for a while we did have 2nd place. Fingers crossed we beat Zenit and then get some luck in the draw.

Indeed we did, certainly could have won that 2nd leg but we equally could have lost the 1st. Not sure on where to strengthen during the Summer as have a good few young players in the squad now, but could well struggle to keep hold of some of them as plenty of interest.

Thank you. Spent most of the window trying to keep my best players but finally gave in to selling one when a decent bid came in, plus he was constantly requesting to be listed. Our window closes before the rest of Europe so unable to bring in a replacement.

Really wanna go unbeaten but lost just once in both of previous seasons ffs. I do now play a completely rotated side before champions League games to ensure the first 11 is as fit as possible, though this does of course mean we're weaker than we could be in the league. Though it does give the next set of youngsters some valuable playing time.
Question for those who have played on one (smaller) league for a few seasons. Does the value of your players increase if the league rep goes up and my main problem is the prices other teams are offering for my players, usually no more than around £3m and I'm never selling them for that, so they just become unhappy. That deal above for Uremovic is a one off. Also, though this is a problem with the game more than anything, most of them have very high contract buyout clauses (£60m-80m usually) which they obviously accepted when signing a new deal, but when a club offers £2m and I reject they become unhappy that I'm pricing them out of a move even when the player is already worth just a little less than that...

I just set the asking price of all of my key players and hot prospects really high. That seems to keep others clubs from making a bid. Then if I actually want to sell the player I just lower the asking price to something that is a more realistic sale price

A draw would have been enough but the damage was done in the 4-1 home thrashing we had against Valencia ffs. Genuinely no idea what happened there but had we of won (or drew in the end) we'd have gone through 😭
