Finished 1-1, town had a man sent off. Not good though, means another game to fit in which is a nightmare considering we already have an astronomical number of games in hand, up to 10 games on some teams.

Wilfried Zaha, £15m? If that's the case, then Sean Scannell must be worth more than the entire national GDP of China.

So satisfying to get one over Crystal Palace. Timewasted from the off. Seven times the physio was on in the first half for their players. They came for a draw, and only attacked after we scored a deserved goal. We outfought them, dominated the first hour and a bit, and hung on for a deserved three points. Nice to see that some teams don't know how to lose with grace, though - Holloway's a wanker.

You think Scannell is better than Zaha? You think Holloway is a wanker? Your argument is invalid.

Holloway's a bit of a wanker, to be fair. He's funny though so gets away with it.

He plays the village clown, gets tiring after a while.

In the first half yesterday, I think the ref probably touched the ball more than Zaha. Didn't have his best game, Jack Hunt kept him very quiet. His mind probably wasn't 100% on the game.

Two in, two out for us.

SIgned Carl Regan on a contract until the end of the season and French midfielder Valery Mezague on non-contract terms. Grimsby signed LJL on a free (I'd have paid to get rid of him you idiots) and released Andrai Jones who is on his way to Barnsley. Couldn't give a shit about Lenell but I'm gutted because of Andrai. Had the talent but KB doesn't see it. Good luck to the new guys

So.
I mean.
Have you ever watch Zaha play a league game? Palace have been getting carried by Murray. Don't get me wrong, Zaha is a tidy player and he has room to improve, but there are a bunch of other players in the Championship who are of a similar talent and age. £15 million is a ridiculous price tag. That's £5 million more than Bale or Walcott were when they moved and they were both more talented and younger than Zaha.

And Bolasie, who's a tidy player in the same mould as Zaha. Were I a Premier League side I'd look at him more - in no small part because he's French and several orders of magnitude cheaper. That front three aside, the rest of the Palace line-up is very average.

And on last night's evidence, I'd rather have Sean Scannell. In his 20 minutes he had the Palace defence on the run - every time he gets the ball there's a buzz. If I were Northern Ireland manager I'd pick him now, because they don't have any other players who would give them that unpredictability and pace. On the other hand, Zaha spent the whole game losing the ball to Jack Hunt then fouling Hunt in an attempt to win it back. Hunt also carried far more of an attacking threat than Zaha, and he's a right-back (albeit probably the best outside the Premier League).

I believe he's decided to play for the Republic, seeing as he played for the youth teams and was in the prelim 28-man squad for the Euro's

Bolasie's come on leaps and bounds, used to have amazing runs at people but then do sweet fuck all with the ball, and sometimes looked like a headless chicken - went to Bristol City for tuppence ha'penny then to Palace where it seems he's matured and became the player we saw flashes of at Home Park. And Holloway can be a bit of a wanker. Most of the time he just gets over-enthused though.

Beat Ebbsfleet 4-0 away last night. Genuinely believe we can still get the play offs, 5 points off now.

Oh yeah and, Theirry Audel is a BEASTTTTT.

Fair enough. There was talk earlier in the season of a switch so I thought he'd be playing for NI. Made all the more likely because we have NI international Oliver Norwood (who after going off form in October suddenly looks a player again after the last two performances).

Donny at home today, not overly excited about the game. Defence looked solid at Shrews but I can't see us scoring any goals so pretty much the same as every matchday. Lots of possession but no killer instinct in front of the goal.

Won 2-0! GET THE FUCK IN!! Delighted to see Bish and Ajose back on the scoresheet. Only 1 point behind BIFFO who lost 3-1 at Walsall and we still have a game in hand.

Beat Oldham 3-1, Very pleased with that considering the momentum they should have had following the Liverpool result.

Derby deserved the win - used our narrow midfield against us and got quality crosses into the box. In fairness, we just had one of those days in front of goal - hit the woodwork three times and two or three last-ditch challenges denied us a goal. 3-0 is harsh, but Derby were the better side. More worried about Peter Clarke, who was taken to hospital with a head injury, James Vaughan, who got knocked cold in the last minute, and Lee Novak, who's got a suspected fractured metatarsal. With Beckford already out for 6 weeks, we're a bit buggered up front.

Bad luck. Clarke was caught in a collision between Smithies and Sammon at 0-0, and apparently didn't know where he was at half-time. I didn't see the cause of Novak's injury, but nothing untoward. Vaughan and another lad went up challenging for a ball in the last minute and Vaughan got flattened by an accidental elbow - one of those that has you wincing when they hit the deck back first.

It's £10m, rising to £15m if he's a success by which point it will have been worth it. Plus they moved 6-8 years ago.

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/mile-jedinaks-horror-injury---1571795

So. This horror challenge which was clearly premeditated and intended to end the player's career was in fact...

A 50/50 aerial challenge where their lad gets to the ball second and comes up on the blind side of Alan Lee. I know Lee has (a lot of) previous for elbowing, but I don't think anyone in their right mind would say that was intentional. I can understand being angry at the time, but when you see the evidence you realise that it was an accident, and a pretty innocuous one at that.

Also, saying that we only had one player come in to see how their player was is a bit rich, bearing in mind half his team had attacked ours in the tunnel, and he'd been verbally abusive to members of our staff. Why would we go out of our way when we were only aware that we'd been attacked for no reason?

Our former 'keeper Luke McCormick (the player who was jailed for drink driving/running over two young boys) played his first professional game for Oxford yesterday and lost 1-0. Oxford are playing Argyle on the 16th Feb so he's back to Home Park...
