We don't like spending the money required to win trophies, and hold onto a completely false hope of Abou Diaby becoming the next Patrick Vieira.

Only when the odds are completely in our favour.

So far you have Barnsley, Millwall and Blackburn in the quarters ffs.

Bouncing off the walls!!! Come on Rovers!! Appleton has worked wonders with our defence. Only 2 penalties conceded in 6 games.

Barnsley or Millwall at home next please!!!!!!

Awful performance, we are a joke of a team these days.

What's even more embarassing is the mentality of the club, the other day we ran a poll on the website asking whether fans preferred a top 4 finish or a trophy.

The two aren't mutually exclusive and the fact that 4th place is now a target for the club shows how far we have fallen, small time club these days.

It's like the board don't understand that the worse we become, the income decreases in the long run. Less overseas supporters, commercial revenue falls etc. Not difficult to work out.

Where do Arsenal fans think the team needs improving?

You all seem to love practically every player. Chamakh and Gervinho excluded.

Szechney, Vermaelen (until today), Mertesacker, Podolski, Giroud, Walcott, Wilshere, Arteta, Cazorla, Oxlade-Chamberlain. All seem to be loved by Arsenal fans.

How was that an awful Arsenal performance??

You absolutely dominated and had "the forehead" put his chance away and Rosicky found the net you would have won comfortably. It's just one of those days were your lot couldn't score and Blackburn got a lucky break.

Don't think we love our players more than fans of any other team. I personally think we need 4 players (keeper, centre back, defensive mid and a striker.)

Oxlade-Chamberlain has been really poor whenever he's played this season. Diaby isn't as good as everyone makes him out to be, Wenger seems to be pinning all hope that he's the next Vieira but he's nowhere near. He's got good close control of the ball but his first touch is poor and he isn't physical at all. A lot of Arsenal fans have formed this idea that he's a physical DM but honestly he gets barged off the ball by anyone, he's just tall that's it.

Mertesacker is not suited for the premiership, had a couple of good games at the start of the season but too slow and immobile. Him and Koscielny should be back-up defenders if we want to achieve anything.

It was an awful performance because we didn't win and go through to the next round. It was awful because we had all of the possession but could only manage about 3 shots in the whole game.

But yeah you're right Kevo, if that happened, oh and if this happened as well, and that, also that other thing, and we scored, and we won, it wouldn't have been an awful performance

The players you have named are the core of our squad, and although they falter from time to time they all contribute well to the cause. The problem lies with the shocking lack of depth, and the complete crap we have in the reserves - Fabianski, Squillaci, Santos, Chamakh, Park and Gervinho. Diaby is injured all of the time, Arshavin doesn't give a fuck and Ramsey has become such a nothing player (although I hold out hope for him).

Town v Wigan on telly. The question has to be: why? Not exactly a glamour tie, is it? We've dropped prices to a tenner and we'll probably get a decent gate numbers-wise, but neither side is likely to play a first XI and the fact it's on TV will hit the gate for 2-3,000. Still, great chance to get into the quarter finals.

And does anyone outside Huddersfield and Wigan really care about watching the game?

I thought Arsenal v Blackburn, would of been a far better choice.

You having a laugh? Any of the bigger sides at home against a lower division side shouldn't be televised imo, boring as fuck.

I suppose Arsenal v Rovers would have been seen by most people as a comfortable home win that could have been all over within 20 minutes, I guess Huddersfield v Wigan is, on paper, more even.

Martinez doesn't seem too bothered about the FA Cup so Hudds could have a chance. I'll predict a draw though.
