Here's my editor data folder
kingrobbo
@Kos88
this is what can be done via our online editor mate, no option to change his D.O.B.
thanks for pointing it out to us I will tag @Footygamer see if there is anything he can do as you say he was correct in FM19,
Very strange
if you just want this changed send me your save game I can do this for you
cheers
kingrobbo
I have ran a test without our live update files, checked in the editor prior and he shows as being the correct age his DOB is 13/06/34
yet in game it is 22/04/73

no such award in the editor, those 2 show and are golden boot awards?
and why do you think this has anything to do with our live update as we dont edit anything like that mate?
tombazzlez
just a quick question - it seems several loans that in real life are in place until the end of June, are being terminated on the data update - Schurrle @ Spartak and Kurzawa @ Esbjerg come to mind. In reality both of these players are at their respective loan clubs until the end of the month - does teminating loans prematurely somehow make further edits easier or something?
kingrobbo
https://sortitoutsi.net/football-manager-data-update/player/91002405 only just checked this and you are wrong Schurrle has not had his loan cancelled the update submitted has clearly not been approved it shows disabled
Kurzawa is now changed back
so no issues here also going back to your post prior re Golden boot award you still havent answered why you think this issomething to do with the live update?
tombazzlez
Yes but as I saw this happen on several players on loan (submissions terminating their loans prematurely being approved, and submissions trying to reinstate the loan being disabled) I was curious as to the reasoning. On a semi-related note, I sent you a DM about live updates, would appreciate it if you let me know your thoughts
tombazzlez
Yes shouldn't have posted that here as it has nothing to do with the data update - it's likely one of the editor files that corrects awards, etc.
kingrobbo
take that up with the mod who approved anything like that

@Mateee ?
Mateee
Some people write to me to move him to Chelsea now and the other people to make him a future transfer. Given that July 1 is already in 10 days I decided to move him now to Chelsea. In 10 days you have to do it anyway.
tombazzlez
I think this poses an interesting question. I think it is fair to say that most people who use the data update provided by this community will do so for new saves that will often start in July 2019 (default pre-season start date for most countries in FM20). Given that data updates are updated 'real-time', or as close to real-time as possible, this poses issue like the one mentioned above with Werner and for keeping things 'realistic'.
I understand people pointing out that players contracts are sometimes prematurely terminated from teams as we approach their end of contract dates i.e. Hakimi's loan to Dortmund is currently approved as terminated on our data update, but in reality the player is with the club until June 30th, while Werner has been transferred to Chelsea on our update but remains with RB Leipzig until he switches to Chelsea on July 1st in actuality, etc. I also understand @Mateee's point in saying well we will have to make these changes in a matter of days anyway, so why not do them now?
Just putting this out there for discussion, but as a way in trying to achieve a balance of workload for mods and honoring the 'realism' that we all seek to maintain, would a potential option for data updates be to follow the 'future transfer' model? As Kingrobbo did for the transfer of Pedro to Roma (https://sortitoutsi.net/football-manager-data-update/player/1510305). Would ensuring all player transfers to only happen following this model be an improvement on the current way of immediately transferring players for new saves?
Doing transfers this way will ensure that the data update will still maintain realism for new saves as once we start a new save players like Werner will be set to join their new clubs on X date as opposed to prematurely being a part of the team, players can be set to 'leaving on a free' at the end of their contract as opposed to just being set to 'released' i.e. Zabaleta (https://sortitoutsi.net/football-manager-data-update/player/951034), Sanchez (https://sortitoutsi.net/football-manager-data-update/player/78011012) and Ngakia (https://sortitoutsi.net/football-manager-data-update/player/28116533) are all free agents on our data update, when being set to 'leaving on a free' on June 30 2020 would be more accurate and reflective of real life situations.
I will leave feedback on the intricacies of whether or not this can be done to the mods/experts but just wanted to throw this out for discussion really and see what the community think.
kingrobbo
for the 20/21 season
I have tried to resolve this by using just the pre game editor and it is bugged at the SI end so not a lot can be done at this stage
tried changing him to be a player that was bugged player/non player same result setting up future transfer too all with the same result, did have some joy just putting him directly in their squad but he had no contract in game(even though I set one for 2 years in the editor) and he couldnt get a work permit so not going well
lots of the changes in the editor are showing as failed and some of the ones that worked still dont show up in game

kingrobbo
Once again mate what makes you think this is to do with our update ?? as you can clearly see there have been no changes to him made in our live update
benwignall1
I've tried this with my own database and I had the same issues.
On another note - have you tried tampering with the English leagues for the promotions and relegations? Obviously League One had 23 teams in this season due to Bury's demise but it goes back to 24 next season. However I read somewhere that it's very hard to change it without bugging the game out completely.
kingrobbo
The issue with promotion etc will be looked at once season has been finished and if anything is released regarding it(sure there will be) it will be in this forum-
https://sortitoutsi.net/forums/category/212/official-sortitoutsi-data-update-discussion
I havent looked at it personally yet but I know there are several sets of rules for league 1/2 in advanced rules
without having a good look a set of rules would have to be made allowing say 4 teams to go up from league 2(as a one off 19/20 season) and no relegation from league 2 however the knock on would be the non league structure would have to be changed to so sounds fun
other option is The league will operate with 23 teams for 2019–20, with three teams being relegated to League Two for the 2020–21 season, rather than the usual four think we need to see what is actually going to happen IRL and perhaps this needs its own thread in the linked forum as its not relevant to this thread really
cheers

Not with our online editor that would have to be done with the pre game editor
wacanbu
Unfortunately there are too many problems with loanees.
For example, in Serie A, almost none of the loan players returned to their clubs.
There are similar situations in other leagues too.
Cymro
Could you not submit the changes?
wacanbu
I actually do as much as I can, but it's pretty hard to keep track of them all.
I was wondering if the last season's loan agreements would be canceled collectively, but I guess it doesn't.
