As I have said before I would love to see a challenges section added to the site like over on Supports Interactive, It would help reinforce the FM section of the board which at the moment seems to be the only thing which is keeping the site going.

The new members that are ridiculed are usually the ones that come in here with the sole intention of plugging their site and asking for something for nothing. If new members were coming here, getting involved with discussions and not trolling then they'd be welcomed with open arms. This just doesn't happen though.

The site is dying because there's no longer an on-line 8-ball pool forum. That's what Susie had that no other forum had. Now it's gone.

Didn't eurostar change his name to Reality Check and his glorious summer of Olympic based posting swiftly got replaced with exclusively Liverpool related stuff, or are they two different people?

Either way, the site is mostly dying because no one gives a crap anymore. Back in its hey day when we were all younger you would have 400 page discussions about the most trivial crap, except from in the football forum no one can be arsed to discuss anything.

The decline in posting of the like of Stan and KM is pretty responsible for that too.

EDIT: Or Tiki Tapas, one of them.

Regarding the slow death of the forums, this is just the way a lot of forums seem to be going. People's use of the internet is changing, with a greater emphasis on the big social networks and larger sites like Reddit, than smaller forums. I was speaking to an old friend who ran a Sims-based forum, which actually made him money. Its off-topic sections and 'forum big brother' games drew in a large amount of traffic, but people don't visit it anymore because they prefer to socialise online with their actual friends - made easier with Facebook etc - and use official sites for their Sims fix. Yeah, you could download some mods like clothes or something off the forum, or from the official site, where there's far more variety, but less of a community.
