the file is for the game fm18, tested in my fm20, and works perfect
DOWNLOAD LINK: http://www.mediafire.com/file/2zg872boi7077wa/CLUB_BANNERS_ADBOARDS_FM18_2.zip/file
This mod turns FM 2020 generic adboards into club-specific colors, flags, and banners, giving each stadium its own flair and feel and adding some much-needed individuality to the 3D match-game engine.
With over 700 clubs and thousands of images, it's not a perfect duplication of a stadium's adboards or look, but at least offers up something new to look at.
1. Extract the contents of the CLUB_BANNERS_ADBOARDS_FM20_2.zip file. You don't need special software for that as it's a .zip file.
2.Place the first "ads" folder (the one that has only the fm.xml file inside it) inside your FM20 user data folder, that by default is found at:
Documents > Sports Interactive > Football Manager 2020
3.Place the large "pictures/ads" folder inside your "graphics" folder:
Documents > Sports Interactive > Football Manager 2020 > graphics
If you already have a pictures folder, just place the large "ads" folder within it, so as not to erase whatever else is in your pictures folder, like stadiums, flags, city pics, etc.
If you don’t have a graphics folder, please create one. Graphics folder should now read graphics/pictures/ads.
4. Place the "simatchviewer_uncompressed" folder (this contains the video ads) into the "data" folder within your Steam installation folder (which is not located in the area of the first two folders):
[i]steam > steamapps > common > Football Manager 2020 > data
5.Please restart FM20 entirely. If you just refresh the cache, the game may still not realize there is an entirely new place to find its graphics. Only when FM20 is restarted will it find and read the new ads xml file, and also discover the video ads.
Go in-game to the Preferences > Interface screen; click on "Clear Cache". And then return to the same screen and click "Reload Skin".
Individual team banners and flags should now appear. Enjoy!

No, they're two different Adboard packs and not the same.

Hey do you know what's the .ivf file for live ad boards and how to create/convert one
Tommy Hughes
Unfortunately I don't. Sorry.
I think rabcb has posted some instructions about them, though. See the "How to make a Video Adboard" section here: https://sortitoutsi.net/forums/topic/51987/fm20-adboard-patch-coming-soon

I’m running fm touch 20 on iPad and uploading files across via iTunes from my PC.
Im struggling with ad boards - just getting the blacked out boards.
I’ve downloaded all the files and updates in order and merged any updates. As far as I can see ive uploaded all the files to the relevant paths. I’ve also chosen and inserted the clubs fm.xml file for the Football Manager 2020/ads path
The only one I’m struggling to find is the appropriate path for the video ads/ HD SD in the steam/steamapps path as there isn’t the relevant one on iTunes and wondered if this might be the issue?
ie "simatchviewer_uncompressed" folder (this contains the video ads) into the "data" folder within your Steam installation folder (which is not located in the area of the first two folders):
steam > steamapps > common > Football Manager 2020 > data
Also, for iPad is this classes as macOSX files or still windows files in the downloads?
great work on the ads, I’ve used them practically every year just seem to be struggling this time round
Thanks

Somewhat , for some reason the adboards seemed to work around the pitch but up in the stands were blank. I created the file route for the steam/steam apps as per the guidelines.
I ended up actually getting a laptop and it all works fine on that.
I believe there were some issues that just weren’t able to be fixed. It was reported officially as a fault and hopefully will be looked out for the new game roll out.

Needed a laptop and was getting frustrated with limitations on iOS with modding. I use FMRTE which of course you can’t use on iOS.
Will stand me in good stead for a good 4 or so more versions of FM ha ha!

Hi richard, jason aka strangerthankindness here. just logged on after many months away and noticed your comment about cska sofia not showing up in the Custom Banner adboard pack. I think it's because SI changed the ID# of the club in the past couple of years, due to the club's change of ownership and struggle over who owns the rights. (There are now TWO CSKA Sofia's as you may know).
If you're comfortable going into the fm.xml file in the ads folder, search for cska sofia and changed the list ID# to 22069955. That should fix the problem!
This also came up with OS Belenenses in the Portuguese first division. New owners took it over but weren't allow to use its history, so the new club is still in the first division, while the old one has been tossed into the Lisbon amateur leagues, but at least is the "true Belenenses," with its history, old records/trophies, etc. The SI ID# was then changed.
I may post an update to this mod for FM20, have been using it for awhile and sharing with friends, so those issues will be fixed there as well. Thanks.

Hi Alfie, here's a link to some instructions on how to change up the config file and codes to put in your own banners/etc.

It should work on PC as well. If you just want to create your own images, you can just replace the images in the folders with your own (just keep the names the same and you won't even have to touch the xml file), and you can use any image software for that. Images should be about 1024x128 to fit best, basically a very long rectangle.

Full instructions are there. As always this mod does not attempt to copy the exact advertisings or ads you'd see at a stadium (for that, use rabcp's excellent mod). Rather, it's just a way to showcase a club's fan support, tifos and banners, and supporter culture, and hopes to add a bit of flavor to the match engine.
I'd post an update in the original post, but as I mentioned earlier, since I didn't actually create the post I don't have the ability to edit it! Hopefully the moderators here can add the correct link.
