I'm having exactly the same behaviour on Mac. Even restarted the machine and updated to last iOS version.

If you're using Chrome browser, see next to the download an arrow facing up, click there and "Resume". Do it every time the download stops.

Hopefully it's something minor and easily fixable. I was starting to think was I doing something wrong haha

Right now I can't help you any further. I need to install fm21 and apply the pack to see if it works. Right now my steam code is lost between the old and new site.
Have anyone got this working?

i have successfully downloaded the pack and extracted it in my documents folder sports interactive - graphics - backgrounds
in the game nothing appears, have i done something wrong with the installation? skin is of course renewed in the game, player faces and logos are there...

no... please just have patience..... once I have my fm21 steam code I will test things my self.... So hopefully by tomorrow I will be able to help more.

Replaced everything in the backgrounds folder and deleted the old pictures of the stadiums in the map pictures.
Not working.

Must be something caused by the config. I downloaded the latest megapack and prioritised it in loading order by adding a "1" at the beginning of the folder name in \graphics\backgrounds. FM 21 would not show the backgrounds or even stadium pictures. As soon as I moved the newest pack way down in loading order by replacing the "1" with "z", the older background pictures I had from my FM 19 and FM 20 worked just fine.

at a glance it works fine with this config. only tested 3/4 screens but im now getting backrounds i never had before great work well done and thank you

I've already downloaded the full FM 21 background pack (sortitoutsi_backgrounds_megapack_2021.00.zip) but this new config.xml is the only thing I'm missing now. 🙂
EDIT: What I mean is I cannot download the new updated config.xml you linked to your post above. It doesn't show any free mirrors, only the ad for the Premium Membership.

No everything looks to be in the right place. We suspect the config to wrong.
try using this config (overwrite the current one)
