The new image isn't as sharp as the current megapack cut imo, so I agree it's not an improvement
It doesn't look like the same person to me. Personally think the original cut-out is slightly better (presumably the source pic was better).
Edit: Just checked. It is the same person but as I thought the first cut-out is from a much bigger and better quality source pic (albeit it's a year old).
