I definitely think the England squad is capable of winning Euro 2028 on home soil and would have loved to have stayed in charge until after the tournament but the chance to manage at a club like PSG who need rescuing was one I just couldn't turn down.

So I thought it was time to give you all a brief update on what's going on at PSG.

So we've made it to the final of the Coupe de la Ligue (the French version of the Capital One Cup basically) and we'll face Lyon in the final. We've also advanced to round ten of the Coupe de France (the French version of the FA Cup) and we'll play Monaco away in that game.

As for the Champions League when I arrived we were sitting just behind AS Roma and Arsenal with two group games remaining. Thankfully if picked up maximum points we'd advance and in the end we did that quite comfortably, scoring five and conceding none as we beat Anderlecht away and AS Roma at home to book our spot in the next round as group winners. We'll play Italian side Atlanta in the next round.

Meanwhile in Ligue 1 we've recovered well from the shocking start made under the previous management and realistically have a chance of finishing inside the top five which would mean Europa League football. Unfortunately there really isn't a chance we'll catch Marseille, Monaco or Lyon who occupy the Champions League spots given the poor start we made to the season. In the next update I'll show you the recent transfers I've brought in, there was quite a few to be honest who joined and left during the January transfer window.

So my final signing of the season comes in the shape of a world class striker Bogdan Tymchyshyn. When I was at Newcastle United I had an interest in bringing him in but unfortunately I could never free up the funds to be able to get his signature. He had a frustrating period at FC Porto and never really scored the amount of goals you'd expect a player of his quality to do. So in a deal worth £25 million I've got him and at 28 if I can get 3-4 top years out of him it'll be well worth it.

Yeah man I've strengthened well I think and we should be able to compete for the Ligue 1 title next year.

So after the first leg in Italy we've got the advantage heading back to Paris. We should be able to get the job done at home and book our place in the quarter finals of the Champions League. I'm not sure we can go much further unless the draw is favourable for us, so the boards minimum expectation that I guide the team to the semi finals may prove a little out of our reach.

So with ten games remaining in Ligue 1 we've got an outside chance of clinching Champions League football. The gap between us and Marseille/Brest is just eight points. If we can continue our good form and they drop points I see no reason why we can't run them very close and even snatch a place in the top three and crucially the last Champions League spot.

If you continue your recent run in the league, you might have a chance grabbing the last Champions League spot. It could be a bit more difficult in the Champions League though: aren't all the the players you got in January to play this season?

None of them can play except Pedro. I think we can beat Leverkusen but the semi final will probably be the end of us in the Champions League this year because Bayern Munich and Barcelona are better teams I think.

If you don't claim the title this year you will be hung, considering the amout spent. But I have great faith you will do fine. Guess your main priority will be the league, and the Euro-League will be just to keep your subs happy?
