Bore draw, not much else to say on the game- never looked like scoring or conceding. Six points off the drop now.
Fola
Brilliant win against 4th placed Woking thanks to two goals from Michael Bakare. This guys stats aren't even that good but he's done really well off the left wing and chipped in with a very impressive 12 goals so far.
Fola
Back to back wins now after a solid win against Dartford. Jack Mackreth performed wonders on the right hand side and grabbed his first goal of the season and also got an assist for Madjo's goal. Sitting comfortably in mid-table now.
Fola
Three wins on the row as centre back Simon Grand scored two to help us beat lowly Lincoln. Scott Kay sent us on our way with a brilliant free kick before Grand headed in his first. Lincoln got two goals back before half time before Grand headed in his second from a corner.

Completely outclassed by top of the table Forest Green. Disappointing as we've been on a good run of form and I genuinely thought we'd be able to get something out of this one. Just shows the gulf of class in this division- if we stay up, I'll be looking to try and strengthen to give us a chance of promotion next season.

I've said it time and time again this season but if we don't get a new keeper in the summer, we are absolutely fucked. We don't have a problem with scoring goals with the likes of Pericard and Madjo but McMillan is crap and we can't afford to bring in anybody else. This match was proper end to end stuff but in the end, I feel we definitely deserved to get a draw at least.
The win pulled Ebbsfleet out of the relegation zone so it was a good win for them. With 6 matches to go, we sit in 15th position and 9 points above the drop zone. We should be safe but you never know with football.

Third successive defeat and another one that was well deserved. The sooner the season ends, the better. We need strengthening vastly if we have any chance on improving for next season.
Fola
Our main problem this season has been consistency and this result epitomises that. We absolutely battered Alfreton and throughly deserved our win. All goals came in the first half after Guy Madjo headed in from a corner, Pericard scored a free kick and Grand scored another header from a corner.
Fola
Completely outclassed. WE NEED A NEW GOALKEEPER!!!!
Fola
Good result as we managed to get a well earned draw against Gateshead. We're definitely staying up now- I'll be looking to play some fringe players and also try to make some decisions on contracts for next season.

Thought we were going to pull off a credible result against top of the table Forest Green- Ben Wright had different ideas. We face Luton next in the last game of the season.
Fola
Are you serious?
My contract is up at the end of the season and it now looks unlikely that I'll be getting a new one. Seriously, this set of players are crap and should be getting relegated. I've got them in 16th position and convincingly avoiding relegation. Could be an eventful for weeks in store.
Fola
Unlucky to lose against a strong Luton side in what could be my last game as Southport manager. I will be extremely disappointed if my contract isn't renewed as I do feel I've done a very good job here, especially with the resources given to me. So, at the end of the season, we finished in 17th place and managed to muster up 56 points. I'm genuinely very happy with where we finished as the obviously gulf in class between semi-pro sides like us and professional sides like Luton is clear to see. If given the right finances, I feel I can do a good job here next season.

Quite a successful season in my opinion, despite the fact we were predicted 12th, I was very happy just avoiding relegation. Below is a low-down of all the players that featured for me in the season.
Goalkeepers
McMillan was the keeper who started all of my matches and a player that I will looking to replace in the summer. Pretty much every shot that went towards the goal managed to go in- will probably be a good backup but not good enough for a number 1.
Defenders
My back four usually consisted of Lever at right back, Grand and either Parry/Akrigg at centre half with Owens at left back. Owens is on loan from Mansfield but his contract is up in the summer so I'll be looking to bring him in on a permanent deal. Smith was a good backup due to his versatility but Lynch will be leaving in the summer.
Midfielders
When playing away from home I play with a narrow formation with three centre midfielders then when playing at home, I play with wingers. Godfrey Poku was my main man in the holding role and did very well- will be looking to loan him again next season if possible. Mackreth and Bakare performed well on the wings, especially Bakare as he managed to chip in with 11 goals. Whalley was the key man behind the front two and was a great player for us this season, expecting big things from him next season if I'm still here. The rest were good backup, will be looking to strengthen then and replace the loanees.
Strikers
Dean McDonald hardly featured after his loan move from Macclesfield and it's pretty clear that Guy Madjo and Vincent Pericard were my key men. I won't need to strengthen the strike force in the summer as Mikel Suarez was good backup. Arthur Gnahoua was sent out on loan but failed to score, he will be my fourth choice striker next season.

Bring on next season!

Not bad finish in the league
Fola
Good budget for the next season- nearly double the wage budget from last season and a healthy transfer budget. Should be able to bring in some good players with that.
Fola
Media Prediction 14th for the upcoming season, probably a more realistic target than last season. Will post all my pre-season transfers next and then get into the matches.
Fola
Transfers completed just before the season. Will give an overview of my acquisitions in the next post. Very happy with my deals, every player that I have brought in will strengthen the club and hopefully help us push on and get a higher placed finish than last season.
Fola
Nicky Nicolau
Nicolau joins from relegated side Lincoln City. He was ever-present for Lincoln last season and can play on either the left of defence or either the left wing. He will become my starting left back and will replace Andrew Owens who rejected our offer of a permanent deal to join League Two side Torquay United.
Andre Da Costa
Andre Da Costa joins from Macclesfield. He was on loan with us last season and featured 7 times, grabbing 2 assists and didn't manage to score a goal. He can play on the left side of midfield so will be good competition for Michael Bakare.
Jamie Tolley
Former Mansfield midfielder Jamie Tolley has joined us after rejecting a new deal with the Stags. Tolley, also previously of Macclesfield and Wrexham has vast experience of the league and I'm sure he'll become a key part of my team. He only made six appearances last season and will be looking to make up for lost time.
Ben Hutchinson
Ben Hutchinson also joins us from fellow BSP side Mansfield. He didn't manage to score last season in 10 appearances however I'm hoping he can prove himself here. He's been brought in as backup to Madjo and Pericard and I'll also be looking to improve his finishing stat, it's way too low for a striker.
Andy Halls
Andy Halls joins us from Stockport after rejecting a new deal. He was ever-present for County last season and chose us over them- he will become our first choice right back after Lever left the club.
Lewis King
Lewis King becomes our new first choice goalkeeper after McMillan left to join Worcester. King is still young but impressed last season for Stockport- hoping he'll be more successful than McMillan was.
Junior Konadu
Konadu joins from Macclesfield. Doubt he'll play much but had to get him as he's a Macclesfield player.
Godfrey Poku
Joins on loan for the season after a successful spell last season. Was integral to how we played last season and I'm delighted he's decided to re-join us.
Sean McConville
Joins from Barrow- was successful at Accrington a few seasons ago, hoping he can rekindle that form here.

First match out of the way with a solid draw against Tamworth. To be fair, going into the game, I was hoping for the win but I suppose a draw is OK. Pericard put us ahead within the first few minutes before a goalkeeping mistake by debutant Lewis King gifted an equaliser for Tamworth. Hopefully this isn't the start of many goalkeeping mistakes, can't have another season like the last one.
Fola
What an absolutely horrendous result! We were 5-0 down at half time and were completely outclassed throughout the whole match. I don't think I've ever had a side that outclassed ever in the history of FM's. Lewis King in goal had a shocker, not lost complete faith in him yet but I'll be looking for a back up goalkeeper to keep him on his toes.
Fola
Only one highlight all match and it was of them scoring in the last fucking minute. Not the start to the season I expected.
