Not what I needed. My top goalscorer and best player; Guy Madjo has been ruled out until the new year. The loan market and free transfer market have shut so Mikel Suarez will be given a chance to perform up top as his replacement.

Brilliant win against fellow strugglers Lincoln to move us four points clear of the drop. Vincent Pericard scored his ninth and tenth goals of the season whilst Michael Bakare and Kieran Murtagh grabbed the other goals. Murtagh will be returning to Macclesfield in a few days time but I will try to bring him in on a permanent deal in January.
The league table to currently as follows. If we can beat all the teams around us then we have a very good chance of staying in this league. Pericard and Madjo's form will be imperative to decide if that happens.

A masterful display from Shaun Whalley inspired a brilliant comeback against Stockport to push us up to 13th place in the BSP. After going into the break two goals down, we ended up winning the game by three goals to two thanks to a goal from the in-from Pericard and Whalley grabbing a double. Whalley's contract is up at the end of the season but I will be looking to offer him a new deal in the next few weeks.
I've asked my board for more wages but they refused so I'm going to have to let some people leave.

Another great comeback resulted in a win, this time against high-flying Braintree. Michael Bakare started upfront alongside Pericard and grabbed two goals and an assist to cap off a great performance by the former Macclesfield player. Suarez replaced Pericard midway through the first half and scored with a great header to draw the sides level before Bakare's winner. Their two goals could have been prevented if we had a half decent goalkeeper as well.

The FA Trophy is unfortunately over for us for this year as we were knocked out in a great match against Wrexham. Michael Bakare kept us his great form with another brace as Pericard got the other but we could have won this if we weren't so poor at the back. Will be looking to bring in a new goalkeeper and maybe a centre back in January.

We've really found our scoring boots in recent weeks as we notched up another win, this time against Tamworth. The win leaves us in 11th place, eight points off the play offs and more importantly, ten points off relegation. Centre back Andy Parry scored his first goal of the season with a header from a corner before Michael Bakare and Karl Ledsham scored to grab us the win. Guy Madjo is coming back to full fitness too so that's another positive for us.

Brought right back down to earth with an embarrassing defeat at home to Macclesfield. We face Hyde next then Macclesfield again, we need to take revenge next time.

Lewis Chalmers
Former Macclesfield player Lewis Chalmers joins on a free transfer from BSN side Droylsden. He's got good stats, especially his long throws and can operate in the centre of midfield and also the holding role. He's on very cheap wages as well and all in all looks like a good purchase.
Arthur Gnahoua
Not the best stats but becomes our new number 9 after Da Costa's loan expired. Gnahoua has great potential in real life for Macclesfield and when I spotted he was on the transfer list, I decided to take a punt on him. Will be looking to loan him out to a side in the BSN or BSS.
We face Macclesfield next so both players will feature against their former club.

Back to winning ways with a good win against lowly AFC Telford. Michael Bakare kept us his good goalscoring form with the only goal of the game late on. We face Cambridge next who are 3rd, should be a tough match.

Ffs, I really need a new goalkeeper. We went into the break 4-1 down and to be honest the game was already over. I've had quite a few loan offers for keepers accepted but none want to join- I'll keep on the lookout but something needs to change quickly. We can score goals but every shot the opposition have at the moment seems to be going in.

Striker Dean McDonald becomes the fifth Macclesfield player to join me since I took over at Southport. The diminutive forward joins me on loan until the end of the season after being placed on the transfer list at Macc. He actually scored against me in their three-nil win at the start of the month so match fitness shouldn't be a problem. Unfortunately, we had an offer accepted for Kieran Murtagh however it fell through as we couldn't afford the wages. He has since moved on loan to Workington in the BSN.

Actually played very well but were unlucky to lose against Mansfield thanks to a goal in the last minute of stoppage time. If we play like that every week, we will have no problem staying up. Just consistency which is the problem for us- we're currently sitting in 13th position.

Good result against a strong Wrexham side. Guy Madjo scored his first goal for a few months on his return from injury before Pericard hit a late equaliser after being played through by Bakare. The result leaves us firmly in mid table and nine points ahead of the drop zone. We are also 13 points off the play offs but like I said at the start of the season, survival is my main option. Still looking to bring in a goalkeeper but it's proving to be a really tough task- nobody wants to join me.

Unlucky defeat against fellow mid-table battlers Newport County. Madjo grabbed his second goal in successive games in the first half but Newport hit the winner from a free kick from about 25 yards.

January is now over- we didn't manage to bring in a new goalkeeper so pretty much same old story. Every shot that Hereford had went in, not good enough. Unfortunately, I can't find in any loan players as I've reached my limit and all the free agents are either asking for too much money or crap. The defeat drops us down to 16th position and only 6 points off the relegation zone now.

We grabbed our first win in 6 matches thanks to two late goals from our top scorer Guy Madjo. The win now pushes us 8 points above the drop zone. It was looking like we'd lose it but Madjo really did dig us out of this one- not a clue where we'd be if we didn't have him or Pericard.

Simon Grand's late header from a corner grabbed us a draw against Barrow. Unfortunately for us, all of the other teams around us have been winning so we are now only 5 points off the drop, sitting in 15th position. We'll need to keep winning to stay up but to be honest, we should be fine.
