Well earned draw. Didn't threaten enough to get a goal but the defence looked solid- the players are adapting well to my tactics.
Fola
Valiant display against Championship side Birmingham but were unfortunately knocked out thanks to a late goal from the lurch.
Dyrim

Southport not Fleetwood but cheers, thanks for commenting.

Narrow defeat against Oxford. We look quite solid at the back and I've made some new additions but we brief on who they are at the end of January. Lacking fire power still up top, will be looking for a new striker.
Fola
Good result against a strong Cheltenham side. Doug Loft put us ahead with a great strike from 30 yards but unfortunately we couldn't hold on for the win. After 30 matches we are sitting in 18th place and 5 points above the drop, statistically we are in a worse position than when I took over at the club however it is more on a transitional period at the moment, I'm sure once the players get used to my tactics, we'll push up the league.
Fola
Another draw, this time against fellow strugglers Dagenham. This result leaves us now only three points ahead of the relegation zone- looks like I've got another relegation battle on my hands.

Dan Holman is going to be the man that will save me from relegation. He has scored two goals in two matches since his move from BSP side Braintree- I will give a full overview of my transfer in the next post so you will be able to see his stats etc. He joins the club for a record transfer fee of 55k after placing a transfer request of Braintree. After the win against fellow relegation battlers Aldershot, we are now 5 points clear from the drop.
Summary of a very busy January transfer window coming up next
Fola
When I joined the club last month, I stated that I needed to trim down the squad and get rid of any players that didn't fit into my tactics- that is what I did. 19 players left the club which could be deemed as a risky move especially in January but I feel that it was something that was imperative for the clubs progression. All of the players that left the club were all surplus to requirements and I didn't get any transfer fees for them. However, their wages paid for my new players.
Incomings next
Fola
As 19 players left the club, they made space for my 12 new recruits. However, Alex Kenyon has since been loaned out to my feeder club Dulwich Hamlet and Ricky Shakes has had his contract terminated. I will post their individual stats in the next post.
So this is my new squad for the rest of the season. Extremely happy with it as I have players that fit my tactics and ones that are very talented, especially for this division. Hopefully we can kick on this season and finish as high as possible, then go for the play offs next season. All of these signings were part of a long-term plan at the club.
Lets hope I get my contract extended in the Summer
Fola
Kevin Kyle
The Scottish international joins on a deal until the end of the season after he was released in the Summer by Rangers. He is the perfect targetman and will become my starting centre forward alongside Holman. He's a handful for defenders, bagging 30 goals for Rangers last season. Will be looking to extend his deal past the Summer.
Jody Morris
Former Chelsea midfielder Jody Morris joins on a short term deal until the end of the season. He's on a very cheap wages but his stats are quite good. Will probably keep him on in a coaching capacity if he decides to retire at the end of the season. Good experience to help the younger players at the club.
Bradley Bubb
Bubb was released by Aldershot in the Summer and has signed a two year deal. He never got the chance at Aldershot but scored 17 goals for Woking last season in the BSP, got a few against my Southport side too. He's currently ruled out for 3 months but next season, he should be a good player for us.
Janos Kovacs
Beast of a centre back joins us to add a bit of height to the defence. A handful in either penalty area, on a deal until the end of the season.
Ben Tozer
Former Newcastle centre back joins from Southend for a fee of 8k. He will become my starting centre back alongside either Kovacs or Balkestein- he definitely has great potential and I hope he will become a key player for us, showing why he was so highly rated at Newcastle.
Hamza Bencherif
Bencherif joins the club and will become my starting defensive midfielder. He has all the attributes to be a great player at this level and can also play at centre back if needed. Seen him quite a bit in real life from when he was at Macc and he's a top player.
Liam Walker
Released from Portsmouth but has very good stats, especially for a player on such cheap wages. Can play behind the striker or anywhere across the midfield. Should be a very good player at this level.
John Rooney
Wayne Rooney's brother, John joins us from Barnsley for a fee of 6k. He rejected League One side MK Dons to joins us so he should already be a fans favourite. He will be playing in the role behind the striker and has very good stats for an inside forward, especially in this league.
Andrew Owens
Owens is a player I know well from my time at Southport. He was on loan with me last season but turned down a permanent deal to join Torquay. That deal ended up tits up for him and he was placed on the transfer list so I snapped him up on a free. He will be my back up left back but is also quite a versatile player.
Dan Holman
Finally, the club's record signing. He scored a hat trick against me already this season with Braintree and has been a regular goalscorer for them over the past 2 seasons. I feel he deserves a chance in the Football League and that's why I've paid so much for him. In his two matches so far, he's scored twice so it does seem like a very good start for him. If I stay past the Summer, this guy will be my key striker for many years to come.
Fola
A match that we really should of done better in. We absolutely battered them in the first half but were killed off when they scored. Sent them out to attack in the second half but their keeper had a stormer. 12 matches to go but we are still too close to the relegation zone for my liking.
Fola
Fantastic win against 3rd placed Yeovil to lift us away from the relegation zone. Dan Holman kept up his brilliant form since his record move from Braintree with his third goal in four matches while 16 year old Jordan Dynan scored his first professional goal in injury time- this guy's going to have a bright future.
Fola
Didn't even manage a shot on goal all match. Worst performance since I've been at the club. Loss pushes us down to third bottom, five points above the drop.
Dyrim
Fola
Poor performance, we're getting closer to the relegation zone- only 4 points off now.
Fola
Good comeback against Fleetwood to secure a draw. Would of been better if we could of got a win but to come from behind twice is very impressive. Holman looks like a great player.
Fola
Terrible performance- only one point off relegation zone now.
Fola
Good result against high flying Rochdale but a result that sees us drop into the relegation zone. We are one point adrift with 6 matches to play. How has this happened?! We were 10 points clear when I took over the club in December.
Fola
Balkestein's late header from a corner secured us a vital point against Port Vale to push us out of the relegation zone. We are currently sitting in 22nd position, only ahead of Gillingham on goal difference who are sitting in the last relegation spot.
Fola
Narrow defeat against top of the table Torquay puts us into the relegation zone with only four matches to go. Pressure's on...
Fola
A match that was probably our best chance of staying in the Football League. Already relegated Accrington were there for the taking but we could only muster up a draw. With three matches to go, we are still 2 points into the relegation zone.
Fola
Another draw but it may not be good enough. We face York next who are 9th and Plymouth who are 20th on the last game of the season- we need to win both matches if we have any chance of staying in the league. I will most definitely lose my job if we get relegated.
Fola
Another draw which leaves us one point behind with one match to go.
It's either going to be us or Gillingham to go down. I face 17th placed Plymouth whilst Gillingham face 2nd placed Crewe.
Fola
Just our luck. If we would of drawn, we would of stayed up. We went 2-1 up and at 88 minutes, we were staying in the league and two points clear of Gillingham. 89 minutes, they score but we're still staying up. Then we concede two goals in the injury time and we lose 4-2.
RELEGATED. I'll probably be out of a job now as well.

Where did Southport finish up pal?
Dyrim
Fola
After only 6 months at AFC Wimbledon, I've been sacked. Will be looking for a new job- it's a shame really- definitely thought I'd of been able to get them promoted back to the Football League. Dan Holman will rip the BSP to shreds, will be looking to buy him again in the future.
Fola
They finished bottom of the BSP mate so they were relegated too.
