I'd still have a job if we hadn't of conceded in injury time- gutted but I will move on. Hopefully I can get a job in the Football League or the BSP- don't want to be dropping any lower than that.

After three months without a job I have been offered the opportunity at a chance of being a manager again. I had applied for a few Football League clubs but Gateshead were the only ones to give me a firm job offer. They are currently sitting in 20th position so it looks like I'll be in for another relegation dogfight but it's good to be back in another job.
If anybody's interested, AFC Wimbledon are currently sitting in 4th position in the BSP whilst Southport are currently 3rd in the BSN.

3k over on wages, this is going to be tough. I won't be able to bring in any new players so I'll have to make do with the players that I have.
I have no staff either, just me and the chairman so I'll have to bring in all my staff. I can't give my assistant reports because I have no assistant but my squad is below.
The squad looks OK on paper. Got super Dele Adebola up top as well! First game against Newport coming up...

First game under my reign and it ended in a loss to fellow strugglers Newport County. We have now dropped into the relegation zone- can't afford any new players so looking at the loan market.

Made my first loan signing and one I'm quite happy with. Former Swansea midfielder Ferrie Bodde has joined me on loan for three months from League One side Doncaster. In real life, he was a key player for Swansea before his injuries. In the game, he's been at Peterborough and Doncaster so it's definitely somewhat a coup for a club like us.

First point gained as Gateshead manager. Still in relegation zone but good to get my first point at the club.

Knocked out of the FA Cup. Not bothered at all really, the league is what I need to be concentrating on.

I've signed striker Nathan Elder on a two year contract after spotting him on the free agent list. He scored 5 goals for Alfreton last season and he goals to game ratio isn't great but he's got good stats for a targetman so hopefully he'll be a good addition.

First win of my reign against fellow strugglers Barrow to get us out of the relegation zone. Matthew Fletcher started upfront with new signing Nathan Elder and the pair worked well together as Fletcher bagged a hat-trick- hopefully we can kick on from here.

Well earned draw against 3rd place Woking. Played 4-5-1 and didn't trouble them too much going forward but defended really well- three points above the relegation zone now.

Very good result against a strong Luton side to keep up our somewhat impressive form. We went behind but didn't give up and got a draw thanks to Ferrie Bodde's penalty in the first half. As you can see, we're still in 20th position but if our recent form is anything to go by, we should stay up with no problems.

Another impressive performance as we came away with a great win at home to Ebbsfleet. We battered them all game and to be fair, I win was the only thing we deserved. The players seem have really settled into my way of football and hopefully we can continue winning and push away from the relegation zone.

Fantastic win away against 2nd placed Wrexham. It looked like we were going to come away with a defeat but Fletcher scored a great strike to equalise former Romone Rose scored late on to push our unbeaten run in the league to six matches.

Signed two strikers on loan for three months to add a bit more firepower to my squad.
Joins on loan from Bradford- got good stats for a poacher and hopefully should fit in well. He's currently on the transfer list at Bradford so if it goes well and I have the finances, I may look to bring him in on a permanent deal.
This is a player that I'm very excited about. I tried to sign him at both Southport and Wimbledon but he turned us down but I've finally got him with Gateshead. In real life, he bagged over 50 goals in two seasons for Gateshead before his move to Luton. His move to Luton hasn't really worked so I'm delighted that I've been able to bring him back to Gateahead, even if it is only on loan.
