Hello, I have taken the official Sortitoutsi data update and updated squad numbers for the 21-22 season.
The update includes correct squad numbers (up to the published date, future updates to come) for the following leagues:
- English Premier League, Championship, League 1 and League 2
- Spanish La Liga Santander
- Italian Serie A
- Scottish Premiership
- Most clubs playing in the UEFA Champions' League
- A few other major clubs throughout Europe
Please also find attached a separate optional file (French League updates), which will remove the French Squad number rules and allow Messi to wear number 30 in the game.
I have also created Kyogo Furuhashi, Luka Romero and Keita Endo and added them to the Celtic, Lazio and Union Berlin squads respectively, using info from Transfermarkt and stats from FIFA 21, which I converted to FM21 stats.
Please let me know if you spot any mistakes or missing numbers. I may also consider taking requests to update other teams' squad numbers, if there are any particularly popular teams that I have missed.
This file will work alongside all other Sortitoutsi files and should be placed in your editor data folder.

NB if this is an adapted version of our Data update users wont be able to run both files at the same time, you need to use one only and delete the other from your editor data folder as it could cause issues.
also @Footygamer so he is aware of this

Hello @kingrobbo - I download the Sortitoutsi Data Update and then import the ‘Changes’ file into the FM Data Editor, where I then correct squad numbers and save as a new file.
I run this file alongside all Sortitoutsi data files and have no problems.

you have edited our file [data update xml changes] but you are using your fmf file when you start a save?
you are not using the data update xml changes and your fmf file because that is not recommended at all it can/should cause conflicts in game
show a screenshot of files selected on game start up you are selecting

just to be clear the same concept will apply as with using our live update - Delete any previous version of our Data Update you may have installed before you start a game
all the other files should be fine its the changes xml, as long as @TheMinsterman hasnt added any squad number changers to his player changes file[the top one in the image below]

I have been using your default data update xml changes alongside my FMF file and there have been no conflicts in the game at all with the data. There isn't any conflicting data between the file I adapted and your file.

Yes, that's right you did. The reason why I asked how to do that was because I was already working on my squad number update file and the Messi problem was frustrating me!
I've got a separate file where I have edited the French league rules as you suggested.

Hey @Day Tripper can we add the squad numbers as an extra file to the data update zip file rather than an extra page on the site like it currently is?

If you think that is appropriate then feel free. However, bear in mind that my squad numbers file is based on a version of the ‘Changes’ file of the Sortitoutsi data update and @kingrobbo was concerned about conflicts of data if my file was used with the official update file - although I have had no problems personally.

All English league teams are done and all Italian teams that are playing in European competitions are done too, plus a couple of others.

Re your PM read the FAQs page 2 in the editor forum -
Issues with the editor not working correctly[options missing/displaying correctly etc] changes in files not showing in game etc.
I believe your issues are caused as I suggested might happen earlier in this thread
and as said previously please use the forums to ask questions

Even if I completely delete the Changes xml, then some of the squad numbers do not show. It is strange that this only seems to affect the Spanish league?
The same with the loans problem, the loans work fine if I have both the FMF and xml files in the editor folder, but don't work if I only have my FMF file in there.

Hi @Day Tripper , do you have any tutorial how to create and add a new player to the team. I got 1 player form SS Lazio (the name Luka Romero , move from Mallorca B) and until now still not include in the Sortitoutsi Data Base. Thank you….
