But they are not showing when I start a new game?! I have the latest update v15.3.2
mons
If that is the case in your system, can we have a screenshot of your editor data folder so we can perhaps see what's wrong with it?

i recently downloaded custom data files

hi i have the same problem heres a photo of my editor data folder

Files need to be directly in the editor data folder, not in a sub-folder. Take them out of the real fixtures folder and see if they show when starting a new save.

Hi, I've downloaded a database which downloads a .zip file. I then extract it and press the editor data subfolder and drag all the .fmf files into the sports interactive editor data so it's not in a sub folder. But when I load up fm22, it won't show up in editor data. Please could you help me.
mons
Post screenshots of where you installed them please.
What files are these? Can you not ask the file creator?

Maybe the below helps, but if not, I don't see why we have to do the job of creators of files which are not even hosted on our site!
From FM20 onwards, there's been a substantial change to how Mac FM documents are stored. Previously the files would automatically go in the Documents folder here:
Users/YOUR Mac USERNAME/Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 202x
Now the files will instead appear in the following location:
Users/YOUR Mac USERNAME/Library/Application Support/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 202x
By default this folder is hidden, so to access you need to do as follows:
Open Finder
Click ‘Go’ from the menubar
Press and hold down the ‘Option’ (Alt) key
This will bring up the ‘Library’, click to enter then go to ‘Application Support’ -> ‘Sports Interactive’ -> ‘Football Manager 202x’

Thank you so much, that worked! I didn't realise this website was just for databases that you host but thanks a lot for helping.

I'm having this same problem - have attached a screenshot of where the files are installed. I noticed though that the game in Steam is pointing to local files under a Steam folder…is this part of the problem?

Have been trying lots of things today…for some reason, whenever I load the game and try to create a new one…it shows no files….then when I quit, I have another ‘editor data’ folder underneath the existing ‘editor data’ folder? This just has a config file, but nothing else in it

Did you resolve this issue?

Can we see a screenshot of where you placed the editor data files? Showing clearly the full path.

Okay, my bad. I selected one drive for save files earlier. Re-selected the original save location and problem solved. Thank you.

Im on Mac and I have the same problem of editor data not popping up when I have a new save in game. Originally my sports interactive file was in my mac's “Public” folder but I moved it to my documents. It did not work with either one of those and now I don't know what to do please help if you can. Also I can't find sports interactive in application support

Having the same issues as others. These files are not appearing when I start a new career mode under the editor data options

I have a Mac and have the exact same issue, have you figured out a solution?
Edit: Oh, just found how the issue is fixed, and want to share with you 🙂
On Mac, Football Manager files are stored a bit weirdly, so to find out the correct ones you need to:
1 – Go to your main screen on Mac and from the top tabs panel click ‘go’, you will not see the ‘library’ folder’.
2 – Now hold down the ‘alt’ or ‘options’ key. Tada! You should see the ‘library’ folder appear, while still holding, click it.
3 – Now click ‘application support’
4 – Scroll down and click ‘sports interactive’ and then ‘Football Manager 2023’.
This is the correct place to put your editor data files in, if you do this, the problem would be fixed 🙂

Above is the best step by step. Legend!

I'm having this same problem on FM24 - I'm trying to use a custom database I've created but it's not showing as being available when I start a new career game. I then downloaded a database to see if that would work and it did (placed in the same folder), so it's an issue with my custom database only. It did work originally but it then didn't when I re-edited it and tried again.
It's annoying me so much, I just want to start a new game with my customised database and get cracking on the new FM24

Mine looks like this, my downloaded editor data files aren't being shown on my fm23 when I start a new career save yet the editor files are also compatible with the 23.4.0 version which was the last version in fm23 updates. Please help
mons
The correct path isn't in the Public Documents folder, but in your user account.

Can anyone help me out? I have put all the fml files in the ‘’Editor data'' folder but still can't see it in my career game as a option.
i have a Mac and trying to get the 2024 update in to my 2023 football manager.
My own file ‘’Arsenal, Chelsea, tottis'' I made by my self in editor and I can use that file, so the files are in the right location, but I still can't see them.
mons
You can't.

Hi I have a similar problem where I have added a ‘CAF_v24.0’ folder into my editor data folder yet when I go into FM24 and try to find my new database, it comes up saying I have no custom editor data files. Is there anyway to fix it? thanks
